I'm surprised I don't see more eoff fan fiction.

Surprised and glad.

Maybe I'll abandon my ever-delayed plans to create an RPG and just write the story out instead.

I chose BoB because I needed a CK for it, I chose Leeza because I thought she might get a kick out of being a witch, I chose Cid because he fits that part well (king = administrator), I gave myself the "cough" line so I could be in it but not be important, and the rest just popped into my head.
