Nintendo STOPPED using their console names on games A LONG TIME ago:

Mario Sunshine
Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Pikmin

Well since the title of Wii has only been out less than 2 weeks, it cant be THAT old...

Well, nintendo named things --- advance and --- 64 and super --- because it's trying to tell you how advanced they are getting. Game cube games didn't have "cube" all the time because 1) Some games they share with consoles 2) It's not a sequel of an older game, I mean Mario sunshine is much different from Super Mario World, right?

I think that they might name a couple --- Wii but you know... it doesn't sound that cool having "Wii" after... and besides, I heard that all the games are completely different!
