Yeah, that's what's so great 'bout FFX/FFX-2, they WENT AWAY from those cliches in a good way.

But yeah, Naruto's still the coolest. The characters make it win. Unlike that shorty from FMA and that cliche'd guy from Trigun.

He could just alchemize uber stuff and shoot anyone who calls him short, so shhhh. he's 5'2 or something, so he aint a midget. FFX did have swords and guns though so did X-2. :D I'm bad....

I would have to say Inuyasha, out of what I've seen out of those.

FMA is the best out of those 4, with Trigun on a close second.
Naruto might have been the 3rd, if it just hadn't started sucking, like it does now. It was really cool in the beginning.
Inuyasha I haven't seen too much of, but from the 20 or so episodes I saw, it didn't look too interesting.
However, the best series I have ever seen is Scrapped Princess.

Out of those options FMA. The soundtrack rocks, the characters are given surprisingly much depth, the animation is beautiful, the story has quite a few twists and turns, being both funny and tragic at times, there are cool villains, even minor characters from early episodes aren't forgotten as the series progresses, and at least the seiyū (Japanese voice actors) do a good work on portraying the characters. :)

It's kind of hard to choose which anime is the best, because all anime series have their pros and cons. I'm quite fond of Wolf's Rain, though, so it might take the first place if I had to choose out of the anime series I've seen. :p

Scrapped Princess and Last Exile were both great, and both came from the same season of anime too :p
