no it wasn't a mistake in who he called Mr. Thou. The mistake was Cyan said Thou to Sabin/Mash, so Gau took that as his name, therefore Sabin is Mr. Thou.

GAU: You SABIN...you CYAN, me want more food!!
SABIN: No more for you.

And then adresses Gau again.

CYAN: Simmer down, sirs! And thou, o wild one... ...who might you be?
GAU: Thou?

And then Gau goes crazy and address

SABIN: Can anything be THAT shiny?
GAU: Does Mr. Thou like shiny thing?
SABIN: Mr. Thou's that one, over THERE! A shiny thing, eh...? Think
how jealous LOCKE's gonna be when he heards about this!


But if you remember, he was already taunting Sabin before so I think calling him Mr. Thou was just something fun to do for him.

Sabin is Mr. Thou. But it's not surprising people would say Cyan, since Sabin tells Gau to call Cyan that.

Technically Sabin does tell Gau to call Cyan "Mr. Thou" when he says the whole bit about Mr. Thou being 'that one, OVER THERE' I still say it's Cyan though, just for the fact it's apparent that Gau was basically picking on Sabin and Sabin was getting annoyed. *points at the script she posted earlier.
