The Lord of the Rings. Times three. :D
EDIT: Some other good-but-not-comparable-to-the-LoTR movies:
*Almost Famous
*The Notebook
*Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
*Perhaps Love (a Chinese movie, but great theatrics nonetheless!)
*The Parent Trap :D

For me:
Titanic
Walk The Line
Memoirs of a Geisha
The Matrix (all three)
-
-
-
Casablanca. There are movies I love more: Empire Strikes Back, Jerry Maguire, High Fidelity--but Casablanca is the better film.
-
-
Ikiru (Kurosawa).
Rashomon (Kurosawa).
Three Colours (Kieslowski).
The Decalogue (Kieslowski).
2001: A Space Odyssey (Kubrick).
In fact, most films by any of these three K's are in general vastly superior to most other films. I could mention more by each, but figured I should limit it. Fellini's films get a very honoruable mention too, as well as the Godfather Trilogy.
-
The entire Lord of the Rings
Pride & Prejudice (A&E version)
Arcadia of My Youth
-
Princess Mononoke is easily my number one favorite movie of all time, followed by They and The Last Samurai.
-
Holy Grail, Life of Brian, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, or either of the Pirates of the Caribbean films.
-
Battle Royale
Honorable Mentions:
Spirited Away
Kiki's Delivery Service
Ringu
The Eye
Lord of the Flies (the old one)
-
The Breakfast Club, duh :p
Honorable Mentions
Memoirs of a Geisha (that ones second on my list!)
Amiteville Horror (both old and new)
The Shining
Rose Red
-
Harry Potter movie series.
I have favoured Blade Trinity over the past year and a half. it deserves my choice as greatest movie of all time
-
Battle Royale I+II, Infernal Affairs, The Shawshank Redemption.
-
Let's see,
The 3 lord of the rings
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
House of Flying Daggers
Hero
Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle
Dazed and Confused
Pink Floyd: The Wall
That's about all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there are more
