Rufus is my favourite cos he's an ambitious and manipulative genius. I like him even more in Advent children.
Vincent, because he looks like a vampire.
My favourite is Tifa because she kicks ass with physical and magical attacks also her limit breaks rock.
Aeris comes in a close second because of seal evil man that limit break saved me quite a few times like the materia keeper.

Vincent, because he sleeps in a coffin! that's just cool! not only that be has this whole transforming thing though the ties with the dead girl aren't so hot... all that aside, he's a kickass fighter and has some of the best dialogue if you nab him early.
Zack's a close second, purely because of the hair!
