Okay, here it goes! Wait, let me explain. We have core classes, not periods, at my school. It's like, there are four core classes in one day. But there's actually 5 core classes in total. They rotate the classes, so that way, you don't have the last class of that day. Like...You have core 4 class last today. Tomorrow, you won't have it, and core 5 class will take it's place. Yeah. It's really messed up, but after a bit, it's easy to understand.
Core 1 - Honors Spanish I
Core 2 - Chemistry(science)
Core 3 - World Cultures(social studies)
Core 4 - Advanced English
Core 5 - Honors Algebra I
My encore classes switch every quarter, so this quarter, I have health. Yay STD education. =/ Gym doesn't count, really.

Block schedule vs. period scheduling. I prefer it the way mine is, because I have one class that is technically block-style (it takes three periods) and I get crazy bored in there. Heck, most of the time my normal-length classes feel like there's more time there than we use to any productive means.Quote:

On Wednesdays everything is shortened a little so we get out at 2:00 PM. I have no idea why, but I'm not going to complain.
