Finisher owns. I consistently do 9999x2 with Finisher (Critical hit)+ Dual weild, which beats out Dual Wield + Rapid Fire for many enemies.
I don't remember Finisher doing two critical attacks if you have Dual Wield on. As far as I know, the critical hit is an elemental attack corresponding with the character's element, not a physical attack that uses their equipped weapons.
It does either or none.
Finisher does one of three things:
1.) Guaranteed Critical Hit,
2.) Elemental strike, corresponding to the character's element (Bartz = Wind, Lenna = Water, Krile = Earth, and Faris = Fire), and I've yet to see this do anything other than 9999 (Unless the enemy's elemental defence nullifies it. I mean...it is an elemental strike)
3.) Nothing. Nada, Zip, Zero, Zilch.
I could do more than 20k damage with rapidfire at level 40-50 though, and it's always guaranteed, not just at a 75% rate :p. Now i hit for as much as 5000 per rapidfire swing, without exploiting elemental weaknesses :p.
What equipment are you using to deal out 5,000 damage per swing? At level 57 and equipped with the Kagenui and Apocalypse (the strongest swords of their type) I can only deal 2,500 - 3,000 per swing using a Freelancer Bartz with every job mastered.
Necromancer's drawback. It's undead. Curiously, the Drain rule doesn't seem to apply (Drain Touch works normally), but you have to be careful when curing. (And Elixers...ugh)
Hi.
*grinds some more*
You said level 40-50, not level 95.
I believe Doom heals them in full. Either that or Death, I am not entirely certain.
I just tested it myself. You're not technically undead as a necromancer. Doom still killed me, and elixir didn't kill me, it just put me in critical HP. If I used a bone mail, an elixir would always kill me. Undead characters can't be revived in battle either, which could my necromancers could.
But I had death cast on my Nec...it had no effect (I don't think it healed anything)
