That's cause the Official Guide is American.
And? it should've mentioned that they were also in the PAL version as well.
i thought PAL was the european version, which was released after the north american version (which to my memory is NTSC rite?)
Pal is generally released loooong after the versions in the US and Japan. so....

The US strategy guide was published in August '97. The PAL game wasn't released until November '97. Not only that, but another guide was produced to cover the UK and Europe, so perhaps the writers didn't feel it was necessary to include details about the PAL release in a guide written for NTSC.
You're kidding me. there's a guide for the PAL versions. the one i brought was for the american versions. why the hell were they allowed to do that (rant, rant.....) (please don't reply to that).
I think what the guide means is the wepons where added to the amercan version and stayed in the PAL version, and they thought what they said was good enoughth
