I think I did.(SPOILER) It involves a teleporter, right? I've found two sets of them.
(SPOILER)Yes, search out all the teleporters. Some will take you to places you cannot otherwise access. In the clouds above the area I posted you can find one of the two secret collectibles (see: question marked boxes in game credits)
But aside from these two non-story items there are a couple other things worth searching for. In the screenshot I jumped from the ledge, I didn't fall from the clouds. The ability to do that is a product of these other secrets.
Whee, I did it.
(SPOILER)Once I found that first power up that increses your jumping power, the rest was a cinch. The speed power up is kind of a mixed blessing. I like the two little extras, too. The mini game has been done before, but it's still cool.
Ooh nice game. Definitely made my train ride more enjoyable as long as it lasted. Finished the game, but didn't think to look for extras, I'll have to check them out later.
I love this game so far, the music is beautiful, as well as the graphics. :)
When I saw the word Knytt I immediately thought of Monty Python and The Holy Grail. Unfortunately this has nothing to do with that. Still pretty neat though.
I really liked that one, the music was very well done too -- it gave the whole world a very different feel than what I was looking at in the screenshots.
It wasn't too challenging though. =(
Finished it. It was lots of fun, though not extraordinarily challenging, except for one or two. :)
Now for Within a Deep Forest. :jess:
Knytt is a monument to simplicity, it's not intended to be hard at all. It's a game that anyone can pick up and get immersed in, regardless of their gaming history/experience. If you want a challenge you're better off with Within a Deep Forest or Doukutsu Monogatari. I recommend both.
Wow, once you know where the first power up is, the game goes a lot faster. I beat it in a half an hour the second time. :P
It's funny. As I played the game I couldn't help but be reminded of the work of Fumito Ueda. Turns out he was actually a big influence on the style of the game.
