That's just the exclamation I use when I read/hear jokes that I've read/heard before.
The inappropriateness of the joke varies with your target.
i heard this joke on the crow, and while the scene was good, the joke is mediocre at best.
If Jesus told me that joke, I'd crucify him myself.
