It might help if the official time limit on night time activities was reduced.
The last game's time limit was 14-16 hours and we pretty much always got the night time abilities on time. Maybe shortening the time will motivate people to be quicker?
Well, last time we didn't have as many night abilities, I'm sure. Also 2 of them got killed on the first night, which sped things up. More people with abilities means more people to wait on.
Obviously I can't join such a game since everyone would know what side I'D be on!
The GMs would play a dirty trick and put you on the town side, Lucifer.
Is there even a time limit for night abilities? I thought Psy and Qwerty were just taking a "wait for everyone to submit their night choice" stance.

Sorry d00ds, I was gonna start the day last night but my ISP's server thingamagic caught fire (allegedly. I say they're just :skull::skull::skull::skull:) and I was without the internet for a good eleven hours.
Anyway, this would be an ungodly time to have the deadline at and I've only come only 'cause I'm desperate to get the game moving again 'cause I know you Americans have today off, so yeah, today will probably last more than 24 hours.

Yeah... like it's people's priority to vote on mafia. There are exams going on at this time, people's family members have died and someone's electricity went out. So I think people should stop complaining about inactivity so much and respect the fact that others don't have time to read through the whole thread thoroughly and then vote.
It seems like the voting period should be extended anyway and the nights made shorter.
Perhaps it might be time to find replacements soon, then?
If they don't have time to play they shouldn't play. I have a life, too, but I made a commitment to the other players so I actually take part in the game.
Nights were only so long because Psy and qwerty were patient enough to try to wait for all night actions to be completed before moving on to the next day. I agree that days should probably be longer though. People say a lot of stuff in the thread but nothing really happens until it gets down towards the deadline and everyone active is like "oh crap, I need to vote". :\

No. The voting started the next day over a 2 day span. Some people had off yesterday, but not today; giving them time to investigate, but not time to vote. Anywayz, Psychotic said he's going to extend the voting period a bit for you guys so I wouldn't worry about it.

I meant we could choose it so that the deadline was no earlier than a certain time of day, so that people coming home from school/work could get on before the deadline.

Hey everyone. I really should apologize because I played an absolutely horrendous game, and took on a bit too much real life responsibility while this thing was just getting going. There was just too much going on and this game moved so much faster than the last one, that my character was really just a disservice to the game as a whole. Sorry about that guys. :(

What the hell is so stupid about the usurper role? It's clever, inventive and it's a nice way to give the mafia a little boost. Some of the roles in the game, well, I would understand if you called them stupid. But not this one.
