Peter will have to receive all of his powers from scratch because there will be no time travel in the direction that the show is taking in the upcoming volume. If he had all of his old powers back, he would have Space-Time Manipulation, and it would defeat the purpose of ridding Hiro of his Space-Time Manipulation ability, too.
cool, i like it that way. after 3 volumes of "ok current events will lead to a big catastrophe, so someones gonna go back in time and change time" itd be good to just have a regular story where the characters are in trouble and we dont know what is in the future.
also if they continued the old way itd be kinda lame cos it started off as "new york blowed up" to "93% population dead" to "world split in half".. next itd be "omg universe exploded"
Ooh, okay.
I didn't actually watch Veronica Mars until after those episodes were over, so that's probably why I didn't notice.
Anywho, I have yet to see this week's and last week's episodes, but I have both currently tabbed in my browser...Will come back with what I think later.
I was expecting something more epic for the last fight. They were close to injecting all of the...infantry? with the serum and instead (SPOILER)the only person who has powers barely uses it before dying. Arthur dies in the 2nd last episode and everything is left as a cliffhanger for season 4.
I actually had high hopes for Monica to be developed. She had a lot of potential in what she could do, and could have been a very powerful 'hero' if the writers had bothered to flesh out her character more.
Finally, I see the 4th season starting to feel like X-Men 3, the movie. Ugh.
My only wish is that they stop the time-travel. -_- I mean, being able to 'paint the future' or whatever is one thing. Being able to actually go back and re-write history is just annoying and can effectively make everything that happens in Heroes into nothing in seconds, which I dislike a lot. I love that Hiro can teleport himself and others - that I have no problem with. It's the other stuff that sucks. The only time time travel is anything close to acceptable is when it's not under such complete control that Hiro has it under.
Didn't they rehire one of the guys in charge of the first season? I think I read that somewhere about a week ago and how he wants to change the formula back to what it once was, to avoid the constant confusing story mess that has been going on in the third volume with the work on the power granting super formula.
I'm kinda getting tired of the Sylar character, to be honest. I sort of understand his motives for doing what he has been doing, but they are kinda getting old. He has a good character and the actor portraying him is pretty brilliant, I just think they need to find a better way to put those to use rather than Sylar just killing everyone. I also hope Hiro doesn't fall to the wayside now that his powers are going but I don't really see how that will be done without damaging his character's integrity a little.
I'm tired of time-travel as well because it seemed that the visions Angela was having at the beginning of the show were pointless as the past and/or future was constantly being changed.
There are two hitches to this. Ando+Daphne= Time Travel. Also, there's no need for Peter to receive all of his powers from scratch for the reason you gave. Like Hiro before him (before reverting to a childlike state) Peter would no doubt realize now that time travel just vox everything up.
I am still curious about Ando's powers from Hiro's time-traveling exploits.
No, I meant that Peter will need to receive all of his powers from scratch because he currently has no powers except for Flight. The reasoning for this comes because the executives for the show have said that there will be no time travel in the upcoming volume because that power is gone. I assume that means that Daphne and Ando will not meet again, or that they simply won't do it.
When's the show coming back on?
February 2nd, I believe.
So apparently this show is back.
I thought it was a pretty good episode and looks like things are going in a good direction. Too bad a lot of what the earlier season did is irreversible.
If this storyline immediately followed season 1 I think it would have been a lot better.
EPIC.
I never can decide whose side Bennet is on, and whether he's double-agenting or not. xD
Anyway, that was a great episode, and I'm glad (SPOILER)Sylar's not properly dead. As over-done as he is, the show isn't the same without him.
Yeah, I totally agree.
Did Peter suddenly forget that he could fly? He was really struggling to hang on there, when he should've been like 'well, I can fly so it doesn't matter if I let go.'
Unless he can't.
I completely forgot that it came back yesterday. Dammit, this is what I get for not watching television. Which also reminds me that I forgot that House was on.
Here's hoping Hulu puts both of them up again.
A limit to Peter's ability would be good. That should have been done in the beginning. Holding one power at a time makes him unique and very powerful without overdoing it.
Ehh.. I loved Volume 1, but Volume 2 was kinda bland to me. Have not even looked at Volume 3 yet, despite being to watch it on Netflix's "Watch Instantly" section. Just haven't found it in me to care, anymore.
I saw it last night on G4 since i missed Monday's airing and it was the best damn episode that I've ever seen. I used to think that Nathan was good and that he learned from his experience when he almost died, but he seemed to take the God thing in the wrong way. I liked how Ando became a player and how Hiro was bugging him to death. How could he really be a stand alone super hero when his ability is to boost other's powers? Now that I think about it, how could Hiro's powers be boosted, if he had them?
Bennet was cruel man, how could he do that to Suresh, how did Nathan even know he had powers? I'm also a bit confused about the African prophet returning. Is that a part of the telepath's conscience. or did the African also have a ghost power?
That episode was really good, but I didn't get why Peter was struggling to hold on so much or how ice could create a hole in the plane.
Ice froze the plane wall and made it brittle so that it would break away easily.
Did any of you know who that person was that flew out? I hoped whoever it was didn't die. It would be nice to have a new character, but that person would have to have some substance. I don't know why those Company people tried to catch Sylar, I mean come on he's smurfing Sylar! They were stupid as hell the man has about eight different powers. I didn't feel for them at all especially when Sylar cut the guy's head off. Man, that was an intense episode.
The guy who flew out was probably a red shirt and isn't coming back.
red shirt?
Or even better, the possibility that Ando's ability will evolve so he boosts himself instead of others. Seriously, everyone else is so damn powerful. Why the hell would anyone need a frickin' power booster? Daphne's the only character whose powers make sense to boost and when Ando blew up Parkman's head, I instantly recognized the plot element they were introducing.
I just want him dead already. Which is exactly why, like Sylar, he'll probably outlast more than half the cast. They're just going to keep stringing us along giving us hope that Bennet will die and then WHAM, nope, not this time.
That sucks. I was wondering why he was reaching so desperately for Suresh.
Yeah, Parkman's a headcase. Atmospheric pressure. There's always intense pressure on planes (they call it cabin pressure). If a part of the plane becomes suddenly brittle, the vacuum around the plane (air rushing over the vessel as it jets through the sky) can easily rip it apart. FYI, I also knew that was going to happen when he touched that chick. First guess was freezing someone, but I knew that wouldn't happen to Peter.
Not important.
Yes, stupid company men.
The episode last night was alright. Did Daphne die, I hope not she was a sweet character. I'm not really feeling for Sylar's little angered teen sidekick though.
I like the idea of Sylar building a mini-evil army. :evilking:
Meh a filler episode that didnt feel right! if i learnt anything from this episode its that:
Hiro is pretty selfish- cant he be happy at all that Ando is doing something other than being in the background
Claire is an annoying brat
Nathan is eviiil
and Strauss is an idiot but given the circumstances....no sort of an idiot
im kinda sick of them playing that whole Bennet lies to family-Claire rebels- makes situation worse- finds out he was doing his best to protect her once its too late--situation! Makes both parties look stupid! Cant they learn lol!
Phew! Almost caught up, I'm only 2 episodes behind now xD
Heroes is yawn now. Claire is stupid whiny brat. Even Bennet's schtick is getting a little played. This show could have been so much better. The only interesting characters anymore are Sylar and Nathan.
(SPOILER)Pyro is totally Sylar's little brother, but it's not hard to figure that one out.
I think Peter needs to recruit Sylar.
I had to really force myself to watch this last episode. They really drag things out. Heroes is lucky I have no life at all or I'd quit watching it entirely.
I do like the Sylar stuff at least.
I think "Rebel" is Angela, but I will be pleasantly surprised if it's Micah. Wasn't he supposed to show up again this Volume? I doubt it is, but I liked him and want it to be.
Dropping moral anvils left and right here. They could have at least made the jumpsuits a different color.
Okay Sylar remains the most worthwhile element of the show but let's be honest, Parkman making the dudes shoot each other up was A) Fairly badass and B) Not really what he used to be like. I like that he has apparently gone bat:skull::skull::skull::skull: Rambo insane and demands bloody vengeance for Daphne.
That last episode wasn't anything really special. it was all right. I can't stand to like at that hunter guy, he looks like an alien's baby.
Sylar is the greatest thing on the show & Hayden Panty-Tear is unbelievably attractive.
All Ali Larter's characters just annoy me. I think it's her daft walk & toothy face.
The last episode... what the hell was that? I would have killed him and I consider myself to be the hero. Was the episode before that any better, I missed it because SOMEBODY wanted to watch 24 instead and that episode wasn't even good.
lol....never trust Peter with a gun...you'll be sure he wont use it properly lol!
Mercen-X: the episode before was worse!
This episode seemed like pure filler to me. Noah already said last episode that he had to play along or they would take Claire away, so it didn't reveal anything new. Even the way he joined Nathan was about as mundane as they could make it. I get the feeling that they don't know what they want to do with the show right now and are stalling.
Also, another apocalypse? Really? Can't they think of something else?
I really liked the last episode especially Sylar's part. I hope they can keep it consistent.
they will keep it up dont worry
It was much better than last week's episode, but still not a "Wow!" episode.
I believe the guy hunting all the heroes down with nathan and bennet has powers also
Most definitely.
I mean why else would he hate them so much
Cas they killed his family most likely. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the explanation...
Perhaps Arthur stole his powers at some point and he's jealous now?
Or maybe The Fonz is a dumdum head.
Perhaps he was supposed to be one of the super-soldiers from Nathan's last plot and he's mad that it fell through and he's jealous.
Either way the dude seems jealous to me.
much better episode...Its good to see more people working together instead of bickering amongst themselves lol Claire was less annoying this time around which would make any episode good!
It Looked pretty obvious a while ago that the rebel is Micah...this episode seemed to have confirmed it...lol i hope
yay Fuller wrote next weeks episode lol!
that was a great episode, and Im glad that Bennet is taking over even though whats his name(never liked him so didnt bother to learn his name) will still be going to kill them
oh and from what I saw I finally get to see what happens when ando shoots his power(I mean honestly is it going to charge them or what?)
and a random question about the greatness of sylar....what if he cut his dads head open...could he have gotten every ability he had or what....I didnt understand if that would happen with the old peter or what
Sylar doesn't need to cut heads anymore. He only does that because he's still a sadist at heart. It's possible that he obtained those powers but he's no longer trying to acquire every power. He's trying to rid himself of the competition; to test his capacity and prove to himself that there is no other of his ilk.
I liked the last episode and definitely the part with Sylar and his father. So it seems like their powers are exactly the same. I'm glad to see the puppetmaster back and him calling Claire Barbie the whole time, I just wondered how the hell did he come back!? As I can remember Sylar made him bleed through his nose and eyes and then the whole building came down while all the doors were locked.
Where are Hiro and Ando? It's been so long since we last saw them I forgot what happened to them after India.
Sylar didn't give a :bou::bou::bou::bou: about Doyle so he only hurt him. I'm sure Doyle was able to recover on his own.
If there was subtitle mentioning where Hiro/Ando are, I didn't see it, but they are now babysitting.
yea they are babysitting "matt Parkman"....to be honest I wont be surprised if its not his kid but better yet him
Just saw the last episode. That was some good :bou::bou::bou::bou:. (SPOILER)The part with Ms. Petrelli and the new company that was epic and Sister Ice's Cold Snap. It's too bad that she died. I was pissed at that, right after she just showed her full potential.
BTW I thought I rememberd from a couple of seasons ago. Isn't Matt Nathan and Peter's brother? I thought I remembered him referring to Ms. Petrelli as his mother.
(SPOILER)I dont think shes dead...she winked remember lol
Daphne on the other hand....:( it was a nice send off though
Parkman is not nor shall he ever be part of the Petrelli clan...they tried that with Sylar and look how that turned out lol!Quote:
BTW I thought I rememberd from a couple of seasons ago. Isn't Matt Nathan and Peter's brother? I thought I remembered him referring to Ms. Petrelli as his mother.
It was a Solid Episode though...nice to see Aunt Lilly here lol!
Where the hell did you hear that stuff?
Yay Ando, boo Denko. I spent the night saying (SPOILER)"I think she'll die tonight" (in reference to ice-girl), "I think she'll die tonight" (in reference to speed-girl), "I think she'll die tonight" (in reference to Angela Petrelli), "I think he'll die tonight" (in reference to Denko), "I think that's Micah" (in reference to Rebel) turns out I was right about three of them. (SPOILER)My first thought on Daphne's recovery as Gwen Stefani was that Matt was playing in her head, but the rest of the show made me forget up until (SPOILER)she said, "Let me go." Like an idiot, I sat there wondering how is he flying? Is that Sylar shape-shifting?. I felt so stupid. I'm not sure if anyone has already pointed it out, but as far as I know Rebel is only the second person to take on a second name (the first being Sylar).
I wonder what Hiro and Ando are going to do with the baby and what's going to happen to Matt's hot ex-wife. BTW I don't remember him ever mentioning he already had a baby and if that was the case then why wasn't he trying to see his kid in the last couple of seasons?
I was thinking about Claire's healing ability today and to heal like she does would require an enormous amount of energy and resources to heal that quickly. After she heals, say from cutting her hand, wouldn't she need to wolf down an extra large pizza to get her energy back up?
And if that's true, she could live every emo girl's dream of pigging out on Ben and Jerry's watching chick flicks and cutting herself.
Good, I hated Daphne and Tracy. But I bet Ali Larter will be back in some form.
"Oh (she)'ll be back. (She) always come(s) back. And this time, it will be soon." --Tarantulas.
She reminded me of a pigeon.
her appearance or personality?
Both I would say! You didn't find her constant head jerking annoying? Or her annoyingness annoying?
Nope, she was cute. I'm glad now that they finaly got another minority character in a central role, but we might not see Braniac next episode once you get one good episode you usually get two okay ones in between.
The last episode was all right like I said it would be one thing that got me though was (SPOILER)when Nathan was revealed to be Claire's real father. That just seemed to come out of the blue. I don't know where that came from and it felt weird. Also I don't understand how Claire can be tranquilized, but she can't get drunk?
Claire was so hawt this episode.
Nathan Petrelli was revealed to be the father of Claire Bennet near halfway through Season 1. Claire remains in contact with Peter Petrelli, Nathan Petrelli, and Angela Petrelli because they are a part of her biological family.
Nathan Petrelli did not extend a free pass to his own brother and mother during the time that he was in charge of the government program. I guess she was confused because he had no real reason to protect her if he was not protecting his own family; additionally, there were no actual ties between them on paper.
He protected her because he was hoping(SPOILER)it would get him back on her good side with just that single blow
I've lost most interest in this show by now, so I'm hoping (SPOILER)Sylar kills them all. That I would watch. He's what makes the show interesting.
Last night's episode was another just an okay. I noticed a trend from seasons they don't bring out the really good ones unless there's been some kind of a break. the next one might be a little better. There's not much I could say except for Matt's behavior which I thought was unheroic and is the show going to do anything with Suresh, he seems like nothing but filler right now.
Show has been better recently, but it will never recover from the clustersmurf that happened in the previous two seasons.
Last episode was a little better. I got confused at one point probably because I missed something when I went out to walk the dog, but what was the deal between Sylar transforming into his "mother?" Also he said Ms. Petrelli can read the past, I could've sworn she can only see the future.
I can't believe this is the end of the season. It doesn't feel like much has been accomplished and Sylar going to the Hunter's side was weird. Why did he except something like that? He doesn't like anyone with powers yet, he sides with Sylar who has a million and who could kill him in a blink of an eye at any moment.
I might not have payed much attention, but how are the super humans being tracked in the first place?
He was refering to the time when he was in level 5 and Angela gave him someone that had the ablity to see someones past!
one more episode to go and while they're not spectacular episodes...they do seem like they're heading in the right direction!
lol volume 5 is called "redemption"...thought i'd just mention that lol!
Always good when we get a lot of Sylar.
Interesting ending, though it was sad because Nathan and Sylar are two of my favorite characters. Now we'll be without one or the other. The Nathan/Sylar development alone should make a good plot for next season.

Sylar could totally rape Claire.
I was thinking if he ever did with his powers since he was forcing her to drink. He could telekenetically make her give him a blow job.
For seriousness now. I was also sad to see Nathan go. Good episode. Nathan could have lived if Peter went out the window and looked for them. They should have used a different strategy too. Have Peter at the window and Nathan at the door. It seemed reckless to rush him.
I don't know what to say about Tracy's return, but Hiro's condition is interesting and saddenning. I hope he doesn't die, they cannot kill him off. What kind of plot can there be now. Of course the hunter'organization is going to be shut down now with Peter's ability.
Another thing about Hiro. I was thinking that maybe he got that way because Ando touched him a few times and he's a super charger and Hiro was already powerful enough so the boost would hurt him. Also, can Hiro still travel through time?
I know the baby touched him and made time stop, but I thought that stopping time and traveling through it all counts as one power. I wonder if he'll ever get his teleport back.
He can't time travel because the producers wanted to get rid of time travel from the series since they sucked at explaining it.
hey we need a new name for nathan/sylar...how about nathar lol
I still wish they would have made claire heal him, because I remember a time when(SPOILER)bennet died she used her blood to bring him back to life so why can't that work here??
Hi, Im new here, but I did want create a thread telling you all that so instead I made this. This thread concerns the lastest series of Heroes that finished like a week or two ago.
*If you haven't finished watching the latest series-Fugitives-then there will be spoilers*
Now I love Heroes, I loved its amazing first volume, was hooked on the fantastic second volume, stuck through its pretty dull third volume and was thrilled over the volume. But I do feel like they have been making a few mistakes lately. I mean they always make mistakes in the plot, but its usually to do with time travel stuff which can get a bit complicated so I look past it. But I found that in this series, there was a few problems that could have been solved if Claire just cut open her arm and let everyone suckle on it.
1.This one concerns both Hiro and Peter-Not at one poit did anyone think "Hey, Peter. If Claire gives you some of her blood, do you think it will heal you and so restore your powers" Now it may not have worked but it would be worth trying at least. And if it doesn't work, she could at least give some of her blood to Hiro to heal that stange tumor he seems to have developed after using his partial powers too long.
2.Nathans Death-I cant believe they made this mistake, I mean Noah was right there as well. He was brought back to life by Claires blood after being shot in the eye. How the hell did they forget about that.
Im sure there was something else, but I cant remember what they were. Anyway, a few more problems I notices.
No matter how deadly your power is, it never back fires on the wielders. If it did then Peter would have been incinerated when he went nuclear in the first series. Oh, but Elle did shock herself when her powers went out of control...ok, never mind this one.
How the hell did the Government always find them, even when they are in the desert in the middle of nowhere and no one knew you was their, they still find you. How was that even possible.
Mohinders dad was really shocked (in the first series) when he saw Sylar move that cup with his mind. And was all like "This proves my theory is right" But know they are saying that he's known about them for at least 10 years.
On the episode:Clear and Present Danger-Mohinder hits Danko with the Taxi door then races down to the bottom floor, only stopping to jump into a car. And Yet theres Danko, waiting for him like he didn't just go flying after being hit by a door.
But I do love Heroes, so heres a few good points:
1.After all that has happened, they still haven't killed off Sylar. Yay.
2.Sylars dad will hopefully become the bad guy for the next season.Cool.
3.Matt's power is amazing. At first I thought it was the worst power ever, but now its developed into one of the best. I love the way he makes people believe he's not there.
4.I aways thought Ando was cool without powers, but now he's even better with them. But I still hope that Hiro gets his back.
5.Micah is back and his powers have got a lot better and his voice is a lot deeper.
So yeah, feel free to add to the problem list or if you can answer them or you just like Heroes then chat away.
The particular scene where Ando accidentally supercharged Matt was so hilarious, which had me cracked up for like 15 minutes. Look at how they acted in that scene!
The way how Time Travel is used in the Heroes series and TT's interaction with the storyline are difficult to determine whether the producers have done the right job on that part or not. Well, at least they have made Kaito's accelerated possibility power non-canonical because if it were canonical, would it have led to more plot holes? Most likely. There is a deleted scene of Kaito using his power if you didn't know.
Can you imagine the effects of Supercharge with Time powers? Would that explain why Hiro was injurying himself, like nosebleeds and headaches? It's either that or Mohinder's explanation about how he was injured. But remember that the powers of Peter and Hiro were removed by the same person, Arthur. If I recall correctly, later in the series, Peter has had gained some of his powers back and yet he didn't injury himself. Unlike Hiro. Or was it because of the catalyst?
Sylar's dad becoming the main villain in the next season? I don't know because he's dying from his cancer and as a result, I don't think he will have the strength to stand up and do dirty jobs. Unless, of course, someone gives him mass-loads of adrenaline drugs.
What's strange is that the heroes have not decided to revive Nathan with Claire's blood. Maybe it's because of the 'You can only use it once' thing or maybe the producers thought that it would be boring if every single important deceased character gets revived by Claire's blood all the time.
I'm looking forward to the next season.
The general consensus in the fan community is that the writers are trying to avoid the use of regenerative blood as a plot device. This is shown by its lack of mention in Season 3 aside from its premiere episode.
The writers stated that the use of regenerative blood only works on a person for a single time to help cover themselves. This would excuse Nathan from not being saved since it was used once on him at the beginning of Season 2.
There is a concept in Heroes called ability immunity. There are some abilities that can hurt or affect the user in the same manner as they affect other people. Elle Bishop was not immune to her own electrical currents, Stephen Canfield was not immune to his own vortices, and Sylar is not immune to telekinesis.
The fact that they were kidnapping citizens of other countries, too, was pretty unrealistic. I agree.
The writers performed a process called retcon, or retroactive continuity, where they retroactively add to the story by inserting details that were not present in the original draft. In this case, they bring back the character of Chandra Suresh to show that he worked previously with evolved humans before having his memories of the incidents erased by Charles Deveaux.
This can be a good or a bad thing depending on if you like the character or not. I think his role in the series is becoming stale as he was originally intended to die in the finale of the first season.
Samson Gray may make an appearance next season; however, the bad guy for the next season is Tracy Strauss.
Unless you think of the writers of Heroes as a bunch of 12 year old boys, the plots aren't going to make a whole lot of sense. They put stuff in because they think it's cool and works for the time being, without actually considering continuity or precedence.
It's fun to try to figure this stuff out but it is a fruitless effort. Any explanation the writers or producers give to these inconsistencies are nothing more than copouts come up with at the last minute to throw fans a small bone. Plenty of shows have rewritten the history or contradicted established context occassionally, but Heroes takes the cake by managing to do this so frequently. It's ridiculous.
Entertaining show, though.
roogle and everyone else...from what i remember peter did have a negative effect from his explosion...he lost his memory
and the government thing...satillites?
Thanks, Roogle. That helps a lot in understanding Heroes a bit more.
Tracy Strauss is the bad guy. To be honest, I liked her as Nikki, even when her character got a bit stale and boring in the second series, but Inever really liked Tracy. I feel like they should have just let her die and be done with it. But I guess you can say the same thing about Sylar. I love him when he's just going around killing people, but that parent issues he's got is both weird and a bit boring.Quote:

Oh, I was also wandering what happened to copy cat (The black girl from New Orleans). It felt like the rights were trying to freashen up the show by bringing in new characters but got bored so went back to the original.
As it currently stands, Hiro cannot use Space-Time Manipulation without causing physical harm to himself. The writers have stated that there will be a lot of time travel in Season 4.
This is true. Bryan Fuller, the creator and executive producer of the show Pushing Daisies, has had a lot of creative control over the show since the episode Cold Snap. I would like to think that this means that shoddy ideas like Claire being able to heal people with her blood and other inconsistencies in the show will be reduced to a minimum.
The Haitian erased Peter's memories because he escaped from the company facility that he was taken to after the explosion.
The entire family of Monica Dawson aside from Micah was abducted and believed to be on the plane that crashed early on in Fugitives. This is covered in the latest set of graphic novels in which West Rosen makes a return appearance.
oh...i kept thinking it was the explosion, but i dont have the seasons on dvd to recheck myself:(
More time travel? I guess this time they will add rules to it then.
I'm sick of time travel in TV shows.
From what the sources say, it sounds like they will try to change the past rather than prevent a future.
No. Season 1 consisted of Volume 1; Season 2 consisted of Volume 2; Season 3 consisted of Volume 3 and Volume 4. I am saying that Hiro will start to use Space-Time Manipulation multiple times in Volume 5 without throwing caution to the wind.
The Press Association: Ray Park to take on Heroes role
AWESOME!!!!!Quote:
Star Wars Phantom Menace actor Ray Park is being lined up to join the cast of Heroes next season.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the British actor, who played tattooed baddie Darth Maul in the first prequel film, is in talks to join the hit US TV show for what is described as a "sizeable arc."
Little is known about Ray's prospective role in the series, except that he would be playing one of the characters at the centre of the show's new Carnivale-style storyline.
Other cast additions for the new season are rumoured to include Deanne Bray as a deaf love interest for one of the main Heroes, Prison Break's Robert Knepper as a villain and Californication's Madeline Zima (as Claire's quirky college roommate).
I'm a little confused on this new season. It really isn't that interesting, but I don't have much to watch anyway and can't play my game as much as I like, but it's still the only super hero comic book inspired drama on right now.
From the first episode I thought it was kind of lame with Hiro's power suddenly making him freeze himself and I don't quite get why his time traveling ability works all of a sudden. I'm thinking it might have to do with that other time traveler that's related to the tatoo guy who I'm also confused about.
From previous seasons I thought that going back in time only proves that you find out that you were the cause for things to happen so I was surprised when I saw that Hiro actually changed the present.
Now with this Irish tatoo guy. What is his ability exactly. One moment he's sticking a needle in some girls back and faces appear on her back and another minute he makes a tatoo hand choke a guy. From the second episode it seems like he can only control ink, but he also mentioned that he could control the ground under him??? In that case, was he the guy who sank that house or did Peter do it somehow?
I like the position that they have Sylar in right now. Being inside Matt's head really screws up his life and now that he nearly got him into jail, what will Matt do now? Something else that's mildly interesting to me is Claire being open about her ability with her college friend. It will probably lead to the whole campus knowing about it.
The last thing that racked my brain is the deaf girl. Why is she in here because it doesn't seem like she has any kind of power. That woman said what she sees is common in people with her condition. It's strange all the same. I was thinking that she was going to have some kind of real super power, because you don't get many deaf super humans.
Anyone else have any reflections on this?
This show is still on? :P
So far it's alright. Will wait till it hopefully gets better.
Heroes is crap. I'm done with it.
I said this as soon as Volume 3 ended since they not only didn't fix things after the mess that was Volume 2, they managed to work right back into their familiar old status quo by the end. So I guess I made the right choice?
At least I'll always have the first season.
you don't have to be a fan to watch the certain special scene in next week's episode <3
this one wqas alright. It had a fantastic ending though. I was very surprised about the Chrono Trigger referene. Someone who works must be a fan of the game. The next episode will hopefully be jsut as interesting or more. I just don't like that new token black villain character they're getting.
I don't think it's the first time there's been a Chrono Trigger reference. That character does travel through time, after all.
What was the reference? I missed it. :(
Hiro says something about someone being the Marle to his Crono.
"She is the Mary Jane to my Spiderman, the Marle to my Crono." <3
Did anyone happen to watch "How I Met Your Mother" this week? It was really odd seeing the actress who plays Angela Petrelli playing a non-serious role.
I know the actress who played Tracy (Aka Sista Cold as I call her) is going to be win the new Resident Evil movie.
I've been watching the first season on G$ over the past few weeks and I have quite enjoyed it though I believe I missed the first episode. I have enjoyed them immensely and it has been helping with my composure and writing. That woman that Peter was with looks pretty good. It's nice to see how it all started. I am not exactly sure though how the superhumans are tracked though. Mohinder said his father did it with the human Genome project, but I looked up information for that, but it did not mention anything about it being used to locate certain individuals.
Season 1 is pretty much the good season.
Season 1 was epic, and they just ran the show in the ground by letting it continue. Kinda wish they ended it with season 1 and let it continue through comics. There was talks of a movie release to close the Heroes saga, but I don't think it would work unless they had Hiro go back to the past and erase season 2, 3 and 4 and start over where they left the season 1 finale.
Season 1 was Great, Season 2 was good. Still need to see the rest, but chances are it could have ended on 2nd season.
This thread may not last for much longer - it's pretty old.
Season 2 was awful. And so was most of season 3. Season 4 was good but it really wasn't worth sitting through seasons 2 and 3 for.
I didn't watch season 4 pretty much for that reason. This show would have been a lot better if it didn't get to be so popular. Maybe then the creators would have gone with the original plan of using a different cast in a different situation for the other seasons. Instead of the same cast in the same exact situations. Because Sylar and The Cheerleader and the Patrellis and all the rest got to be so popular, they decision was made to ride this wave as far as it took them. And it didn't take them far.
I can see that. Coulda kept them around to return now and again, but too much of the same became silly. Claire and Noah's relationship kept going in the same pattern like a soap opera, and Sylar would have done himself good to stay dead or atleast revive the 5 years into the future story. AND they continued to strip powers from Hiro and Peter anytime the writers new they were strong enough to stop the great threat, and they wouldn't have anything to write about.
