Stone Cold told me on the mafia forum that he doesn't care about this game anymore. So I wouldn't expect anything outta him. :p
I guess that's just what happens when your 2 most active players die in one night lol
In future games, all shall fear and love me.
Good job AK you were definitely the mvp of this one.
Town kinda got screwed in this one rolewise. Unless peeping tom was the most powerful role ever.
Well the mafia was made up of two members and a traitor xD
Well yeah, they had to be. There were only two full blown mafia members! Proto was kind of gimped, in that he'd die if they died. tbh I consider the fact that it went down to lynch or lose to be proof that it was very well balanced.
Anyway, a word on the set up-
We had a main theme to this, really. We didn't want crazy smurfing mindsmurf (although maybe it ended up that way!) There were two main ideas, really:
- A very small mafia team.
- Drive the cop absolutely insane.
Obviously if you have a small mafia team you can't stack the town with a whole lot of power roles. We didn't really want the game to drag on so we ignored most protective roles other than the governor (hey, it blocks day kills! Sorta), and threw in a one-shot vig and the jihadist to further thin out the numbers. It's a shame Timekeeper didn't wait 'til Jessweee claimed cop to make his kill but alas. Finally, we gave the mafia the Beloved Princess on the town to give them a bit of a boost.
Then we threw a whole bunch of :bou::bou::bou::bou: out there to trip up Jessweee and send the poor girl mad! I told you guys I hate cops! I don't think I have ever forgiven them for C9 Mafia II. :colbert: I think it's an easy role, a little too easy, and perhaps their word is seen as law. I hope this game has at least made you all question whether or not a Cop is a 100% foolproof way of finding scum and you should look to people's actions too. That is why we also had the watcher in there, I guess he was kind of meant to be the town's true "cop" but got taken out on Night 0. I think if anything the town could've been given a tracker on top of that as insurance against the Tom going down. However, Jessweee DID play amazingly well and so I think that was unnecessary. I am pleased with how it turned out.
Mafia XVIII will have an awesome cop that finds all the scum and hands them to the town on a silver platter, and yet the mafia will still win because the town will remember this game!
I'm going to be that cop aren't I
oh god what have I done
Also, can everybody please delete all their PMs? It'll save the next host a ton of work, trust me on that!
Yes I will go delete all my 1 PM
Ahahaha, wtf. I guess I should've expected another Miller, but Hart and Flair fit together. Which was obviously Hart's purpose.
But yeah, AK definitely won this one.
Well, I was wrong about Warrior being Mafia, but right about Flair.
Though I'm not sure if he was Mafia before I made the claim I though I knew who two Mafia were. :p
Ric Flair wasn't mafia though. :p
Yeah, after finding out there were only two mafia, and that Proto couldn't be recruited, it did make more sense. It could have been borked pretty early but Lynx and foa did a good job (though I was on to you early on Stone Cold! Too bad nobody listened to me and my death only made my posts even more useless :()
But Death Miller, man, that's bastard mod territory. The flip is the ultimate revelation in mafia. In the live game you literally flip your card over, so a role like that obviously can't be in play since the person would look at it and just say 'huh? I wasn't mafia'. If you can't trust what the moderator says after a death, you can't really trust anything. That's why I don't like Mafia Janitor either, though in that role at least the moderator is just saying nothing instead of flat out lying.
It's also pretty messed up that there are some aspects of a role that the player isn't told. So I'm hoping you just gave that to me on purpose just to smurf with me (mindsmurf the mindsmurfer?) and it's not something we'll see EVER AGAIN! :)
But this was a very fun game, mostly because the wrestling theme was awesome and it made me relive many fond memories of watching WWF. Well, fun until I died and realized that everything I had done had been completely useless. :( But even after that I tuned in to see Warriors promos and if Roto could pull out a victory for the town. :p
Oh wow, I thought you were Ric Flair for some reason. I'm just crazy then. :p
Oh, so I was right with my guess of Stone Cold being scum? That's cool.
Yeah I can see where you're coming from, tbh Del. The flip is something I am interested in playing around with and experimenting with. PUSH THE BOUNDARIES and all that. I'm kind of thinking of a mafia game where the set up is listed at the start and then no role is revealed upon death. But I don't know how popular that would be!
Pity the copycat killer never really came into play but this game was alot of fun! SHOCKED that Ric Flair wasn't mafia!
Yeah I probably would too. :p Like I said, not giving out information on roles to the town is different than flat out lying to the player and town to what a person's alignment is.
Death Miller is cool to smurf with people, but it's pretty :bou::bou::bou::bou: for the town. Miller is cool because at death all is revealed.
Mogi was so mad when he got Death Miller in the summon themed game xD
I have been without internet since I made my last post.
Raistlin you smurfing idiot.
IT'S PSYCHOTIC'S FAULT
I have been out and away, so my only real comment is this: I had fun.
I had fun, too. I think this is the first time I've ever lasted to the end. I'm kind of proud of myself. :P It's a personal victory.
