The wrong Baldur's Gate is on sale. :(
Anyone wanna swap these Snow Globe Trading Cards to earn their 2013 Winter Sale badge?
Have extras of:
Snow Globe #1
Snow Globe #3 (two extras)
Snow Globe #9
Need:
Snow Globe #2
Snow Globe #4
Snow Globe #7
Snow Globe #8
I sell my cards. Money trumps badges every time.
I'll just gift you #4 if it'll let me. Don't need one. :p
Edit: Won't let me, so I just traded for your spare 3. :p
I got a spare #3 globe too if anyone wants it. Steam won't let me frigging buy anything at the moment though, and I don't want to miss director's cut of deus ex!
Still need 2, 7, and 8.
Got extras of 1, 3, and 9.
EDIT: Thanks to Dr Unne I now just need #2.
Dark Souls is 80% off. $10 for the greatest game ever made, pick it up people!
Also, Hotline Miami for 2 bucks. Can't go wrong with that either.
Spelunky for $3.75 is a good deal. That's my go-to game when I'm bored of everything else.
I completed my badge and got a bunch of side items for it as well. Thanks to all of you who helped! :ty:
Bumping to say that you've got five hours left if you want Morrowind GOTY Edition for $5 (and yes, you do.)
Save 75% on The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® Game of the Year Edition on Steam
I have just bought too many video games. :shobon:
Just picked up Prison Architect and Steam Marines because why the smurf not?
Hitman Absolution for $5.00. Man that game is good.
Interested in getting Portal 2 for $5.00, but I'd rather play it on my ps3 than my macbook.
Also interested in Don't Starve, would anyone recommend this game?
It's pretty cool. It has a unique style for sure, I'd say it's almost worth getting just to ogle the art in the game. If you get it you should try to survive for a while without looking anything up. There are a lot of little things to discover. It's kinda hard, but the tension makes it fun.
It's a fun game to pick up and play for a while (until you starve to death) and put down for later. I play it in short bursts.
What Unne said. I'd recommend it.
Ten minutes left on Morrowind! Hope you all picked it up if you wanted it.
I've reached a point where if it's cheap and looks at least decent I pretty much auto-buy it. I may not have time to play it right away but it's there in my Steam Library, waiting...
No such thing as too many video games!
Of course not.
I stumbled into GOG and came out with armfuls of my childhood gaming. Also Alpha Centauri because I hear that it's not bad.
GOOD.
Play it, love it, discuss it in my latest SMAC thread which died for some reason :(
I got Just Cause 2, Shoot Many Robots Day of Defeat Source and am thinking about FFVIII.
I picked up Morrowind because yes of course I picked up Morrowind. I think this is the first time I actually ever owned a copy of the game myself, and since it is on PC I am excited to dress it up and get the best possible experience I can.
...when I go home eventually and download all the mods. Gonna need a list, Pike (although I seem to recall a list on the android's closet)
Huxley's list is pretty good.
I got this at full price when it was released, I'm close to 50 hours in. Suffice to say it's brilliant even in alpha, and the developers release the next version every month (the only exception being in October when one of them had a baby, which is fair enough).
I've spent more on this sale and the Autumn one a few weeks back than I have in the previous four or five sales combined, so far I've picked up:
Galactic Civilizations II
Hotline Miami
Bastion
Anno 2070 Complete Edition
Endless Space + Disharmony DLC
Left 4 Dead 2
The Witcher
And I've also got NBA 2k13 and Crash Time II from Greenman Gaming.
Also, tomorrow's games have accidentally been leaked:
Grand Theft Auto IV 75% off
Alan Wake 90% off
Kerbal Space Program 40% off
Metro: Last Light 66% off
Rising Storm 75% off
Game Dev Tycoon 50% off
Outlast 66% off
Farming Simulator 2013 50% off
Injustice: Gods Among Us 50% off
Gonna get Game Dev Tycoon and Farming Simulator (yes yes, I know), this is getting expensive.
Absolutely nothing wrong with Farming Simulator.
I'm super stoked about this Euro Truck Sim 2 deal; I think I might have to splurge.
Haha I own that too, it is brilliant. I'm a sucker for simulator games, but I draw the line at stuff like Woodcutter and Road Sweeper Simulator, that's just silly.
I looooved the first Euro Truck Sim! I've heard good things about the second.
I would in fact play Woodcutter and Road Sweeper Simulator.
Titan Quest Gold
Steam Marines
AudioSurf
Avencast: Rise of the Mage
Fowl Space
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Complete Pack

Spelunky
Garshasp: The Monster Slayer

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4

I think that's all I bought this sale, outside of some bundles that I can't remember, but those aren't directly Steam Sale related.
Bought Saints Row IV. Freezes after the company logo videos finish playing, or if I skip them.
I guess it wouldn't be a fitting end to 2013 if I didn't buy a game on PC and have something be wrong with it. Not sure what's up this year, but it's the third time it's happened, and the other two have not been easy fixes.
My policy of not going for huge titles has made this a pretty sparse sale. I try to keep my purchases under, say, $10 unless in the case of ridiculous deals or something I really desperately want. Let me try and see what I've got this time:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution director's cut -- because director's cut smurf yeah
Morrowind -- because I need it for ~research~
Final Fantasy VII -- because I never actually paid for it before and setting up my PC crack is trout
Just Cause 2 -- because $2 and it was fun when I played my brother's copy
The Novelist -- thank you to Nicolas for this one, it's pretty cool if running dodgy on my laptop
Civ V -- because even though I know I'm a disappointment it's still easier to play with my meatspace comrades if they get the simpler game
Tomb Raider -- because I had no plans to get this on a console and it was touted as potential GotY and $10 w/e
Tower Wars -- because if you sweet talk people they will buy you cheap games :)
If anyone wants to get me Fallout New Vegas so I can finally see what all the hubbub is about, I'd be totally okay with that;)
I really haven't gotten too much from this sale. I got FFVII and VIII, Gunpoint, Monaco, and Endless Space (thanks Nico!) I think that's it.
I got Deponia today. Considering getting The Swapper as well. Anyone tried it?
I got Agarest today, because I'm desperate for games of that style on the PC and I had wallet funds left, but my expectations are pretty low.
Swapper is a cool game. The designers created models out of clay and video captured them for game graphics. It looks really good. It's a creepy kind of game without being full-fledged horror (no jump-scares or anything). The story delves into certain weird pseudo-philosophical areas which is kind of cool for a video game.
The gameplay is fun. Vaguely of reminiscent of a 2-D Portal, though not really. It's mostly a puzzle game, with a few platforming sections.
My main complaint is the game is short. There are a lot of simple puzzles to teach you the game mechanics that you'll likely breeze through, and then some good puzzles, and that's it. A couple puzzles had me stumped for a while, but I still beat the game in 4 hours. I would've loved a few more hours of puzzles. But that probably means I enjoyed the stuff that was there.
The Swapper is wicked good fun. I felt so proud when I figured out tricks to succeeding in some puzzles. Mind you, some of them have been too hard for me >_<
Just got Poker Night 1 and 2, cause super cheap xD.
I also bought Poker Night 2 (already had 1 from a previous sale), the only thing they're missing is some sort of multiplayer feature.
Last day tomorrow too guys, even though it say it ends on the 3rd that's literally when it ends - 10am (or 6pm, or whatever your timezone) on the 3rd itself. I made that mistake with the Autumn sale thinking it was going to run right through the final advertised day (and for the sake of comparison end on the 4th) so make sure to grab any last minute deals.
For the next couple hours, VVVVVV is 50 cents.
Jiro wasn't ready for a miracle.
I hate when I pull up Steam and it says "Community Voting has ended" because it means the sale is almost over :whimper:
Genuinely bought Just Cause 2 about two hours before it went down to 80% off. smurf my life.
I missed the VVVVVV thing because I was at work. I even tried to buy it there but couldn't get my browser to log in and eventually just gave up :(
Within the last few hours of the sale I picked up the Tomb Raider pack thing (all 10 games for $14) and Valdis Story, which is Metroidvania + RPG.
If I'd known Valdis Story was a thing I might've picked it up. That description sounds intriguing. Maybe next time around.
