What lies beyond the wall is madness. A rush of fragments of reality and insanity. An unruly force that no “Sane” mind could hope to comprehend. However, something familiar and identifiable exists at the source. Identifiable for it is what we know as Hypoallergenic Cauctaur, who is himself a fragment of the true reality. A fragment which has manifested itself without the minds of people as something semi-comprehensible. He exists here to ease the transition from sanity to madness.

As you begin to accept that this is the reality that is, you will still not understand. Ones who lack the true vision never can. A journey must commence, a journey you cannot handle, but must. The one who can make this possible is the one who travels the madness. One who crosses from the true reality to the one you know, one who can guide the blind. Mercen-X possesses an impossible balance of madness and sanity, an ability to understand the true nature and still communicate with the ignorant. He will be vital to your salvation.

However, even with the guide, an opposing force exists. The force is the very will of the people themselves, manifesting all around. A force that frightens people away, an entity whose purpose is to convince you that the supposed ‘insanity’ is something to shy away from. The being Psychotic exhibits all traits of the truth only when they are impossible to understand. Let not his evil intent cloud your mind, let not the madness of Psychotic overwhelm you. There is but one way to fight him.

The light of truth. An overwhelming light that shows you the way, that guides you through heavy fog cast by Psychotic. A noxious.sunshine will show you the way forward, a point to follow when all other senses are blinded to you. It will show you that the truth is not something to run from, that the mangled reality you perceived once long ago is truly what you should reject.

When through the Psychotic fog, Mercen-X shows his true form. The guide that saw you here was nothing but a fragment of the illusion given shape, and is reformed as the one who created the illusion. Loony_BoB now stands before you. The illusion shattered, there is no longer hope for you to return, yet still Loony_BoB asks the question. “Is it the truth you desire?” Many of you, knowing in your hearts and minds that you could never go back, will still fauter. Unable to accept the reality of this world, you deny it and attempt to re-enter the illusion, and become one of the Crazies. For the rest of us, BoB offers salvation. He offers us true vision, and presents us the key.

Loony_BoB bestow upon us Chris. Chris acts as the final step to cross over into the realm of reality, to shed the illusion in it’s entirety and grant us the true sight, the ability to see the world for what it really is. He shall reveal to us the nature cannot be understood when taken in fragments, only the entirety of the knowledge can aide you.

So with the ability to see, an anomaly shall occur. In an instant, the information shall come to you as if an eternity were spent deciphering it. The HasteinTime anomaly will truly frighten you, and the mind will fail to comprehend the knowledge it has. Yet there is no way one could grasp the reality, even with all the knowledge, for there was never been known experience to relate to it. So, while HasteinTime may be a step forward, most will cave under the pressure.

The remainder that move forward will have seen the wall. Manifesting itself as a foul smelling oder, Locky will try to prevent you from reaching your conclusion, but not out of desire to keep you from it, but out of desire to assure you are worthy. Her putrid aura is strong, but so strong the worthy and willing may not pass. It is after this the truth is will be know.

Past the Locky, the keeper will be found. Ultima Shadow watches over reality, a sage of sorts. Guarding carefully the truth, he is happy to let all in who make it this far. He feels the reality a thing of wonder and beauty, far surpassing the illusions crafted in a time longer here, and wished only to share the truth with others. Upon your arrival, you shall finally gaze up reality for what it is, and truly understand it.

And the understanding you ask? It could not not be more simple. For our love of this reality, you branded us crazy, loony, unfit for normal society. But we, the ones who are privy to the truth, who accept and love the truth, are the only ones truly alive. And that truth? Why, that truth is simply Boobs.

E3 Round-Up: Written by the indomitable Aulayna, this article and the others under the #E3 banner prove just how much an editor can do. Staying up in the wee hours of the morning just to tell us how spectacularly the Xbone failed (among other things, of course) and surviving on just four hours sleep is incredible, and that’s not even counting that she does also have a job to put down as well! Words like ‘heroic’ and ‘trooper’ don’t even cut how impressive she was during E3 week.

Eyes on EoFF: My own article series! I get to write about you lovely lot week in week out, recapping the biggest threads of the week and making sure all the birthdays get a mention!

Eyes on Final Fantasy Cosplay: This series proves how diverse the articles can be. Coming in to this when it first started, I was slightly unsure of how I’d find it. I’ve never exactly been a fan of dressing up, nor have I ever really seen a cosplay. But my preconceived notions of the activity were smashed when I began reading Aulayna’s articles. Some of the cosplay was genuinely impressive and I also loved listening to the interviews after each vote as I get to explore the lives of the cosplayers themselves. Truly a fantastic read, but will it be original enough to pull through and nab the ciddie?

Final Fantasy Art Showcase: Having received the thread equivalent of a standing ovation for his 40^th week of his Art Showcase, it really is a strong contender to win. What this article shows is just how close different Final Fantasy communities can come together – our Deviant Artists always provide a strong showing in these showcases and also worked their butts off for the anniversary ciddies. Proto my man, I salute you.

Final Fantasy Sexism: Articles don’t always have to be of overwrought praise of Final Fantasy. In this five part series; Raistlin delved deep into the darker side of Final Fantasy and brought some uncomfortable truths surrounding the games. While nothing short of controversy, and debate aplenty, it was a delightful read that certainly grabbed the attention of many commentators. Will the Sexism card win over the members of EoFF? Time will tell!

Summon of the Month: Locky’s article that strings interesting facts about the various Final Fantasy summons with a strong and compelling narrative might just pull through. What’s unique with this article is that there’s an actual story involved between Locky and Dr.Rydrum. It’s very cleverly done and keeps you guessing. It makes me wanting more, but will it make you give away your votes?

And that, as they say, is that. These six articles are just a sample of the impressive writing talent we have here on EoFF, and all of them deserve to win. Who will make it?

1. Here we have a thread about games in cardboard boxes. I love games. I love cardboard boxes! This is a good start, really. I don't know if things will get better than cardboard boxes.
2. GTA V Gameplay Video? More gamin' stuff, definitely a theme going here. GTA V is alright, but I'm not sure it's something I expect out of one of the best thread starters... half mark stuff.
3. Final part of Phase Three testing for FFXIV. Now, I love FFXIV, so this is a definite biggie for me. Especially because it brings me the excellent news of progress towards Phase Four, when I can do stuff.
4. Jacket Potatoes! Moving out of the gaming theme here and into food. I like potatoes, they're pretty ballin'. But jacket potatoes are one of the less amazing forms of potatoes for me. I'll give it a half mark.
5. I'll skip the thread in the staff forum (and leave you all guessing about how incredible or boring it may be) and move on to The Last of Us, which I'm hearing is a great game and if I had more cash and time to burn, I'd be all over it. Still, it's a fairly ho-hum thread that doesn't inspire me. Half a mark.

1. cot - well, this is certainly creative, although there is a severe lack of any content besides a transparent gif. Very Dan, but not his best work. I'll give him a half mark for the amusement factor.
2. Vegetables - A thread in Quina's Kitchen about vegetables is certainly very run of the mill stuff. I suppose it was one of the earlier threads in the forum but I'll have to pass for this one.
3. He's not really Linvoy Primus, that's a sodding lie. Or at least I'm pretty sure it is... I liked this thread, because of the amusing posts it created. I'll give him a good mark for this one.
4. Doing God's work, son. Not only was he doing God's work in Japan, but he was doing it in EoFF with this thread. His opening post is of the nominees for Best Post, and deservingly so. Bonus point for getting that done!
5. And now he asks if we enjoy things that drive us insane. A rather odd question, I'll give him that. It's about Z-Rox, and I don't know the game and... [five minutes later] oh, crap, the speech. Okay. That's got to be a good sign.

Flying Mullet
1. This is a thread where Flying Mullet discusses his thread. Like with Dan, a half mark for amusement's sake.
2. Green Eggs and Ham... why is this not in Quina's Kitchen!? This thread is a bit of spam (or ham, or whatever). I do love Dr. Suess but... yeah.
3. What psyches you up for the day? A fairly original thread, shockingly, as I don't think I recall seening a thread like that before. The thread title definitely threw me as it was about being hot blooded. I'll give him a point despite that.
4. POLL TIME! I love polls! This is in the FF(I) forum and it asks how we feel the playable characters grew up and developed to the characters we play as in the game. A very interesting thread, I love it.
5. Okay, this one got a lot of love by people and it certainly got a few smiles outta me. The music behind the game of FFXV. Brilliantly done.

3.5/5 for Mulley! He's equal with Auly but is beat by Dan so far.

1. Your extended family. Well, this isn't a hugely original thread, but I do favour threads that allow us to get to know our fellow members. A half point.
2. Princess Bride Quotes are indeed fantastic quotes. It's a very quotable movie and really such quotes should come about more often. Buuuut it's still not really a discussion thread on any level, so only a half point.
3. We didn't start the forum. OH MY GOD WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE!? Double points for this one! I love parodies like this and I actually once considered making a parody of this very song, and now I don't have to. So yay! I can't wait to read it all when I'm done with this speech. xD
4. The Drunk Thread. Instant point, obviously.
5. Skipping the Events Committee thread since most people don't see that one, I'll go to whether or not FFXIV will have an RP server. This is a question thread but it also lead to some interesting perspective posts, so I'm going to give it a point again.

5/5 for Pike! Gonna be hard to top that, but as I've given out a couple of double points so far it's not impossible.

1. Sephex asks us of strange things we've come across lately. An okay thread. Half mark.
2. Doing something nice when you don't really want to is a tough thing on occasion, and it makes for a decent thread. Again a half mark for me.
3. Oooh, a rare Chrono Trigger thread. It's about hair colour, too, which is an original idea. Yeah, I'll give a point for this, this is good stuff.
4. Ahahaha, I love this next one about pillars and garbage cans if only for the image he put inside the spoiler tag. Fantastic. Definite point.
5. Poll! ...wait. It's about me. It's asking if I should change my name to Tifa's BoBs. How did I never see this thread? Was I really busy in February? What the hell. Okay, it's about amusing "I wish I could just change that name" stuff. I like this thread idea.

1. Should home makers get paid? An interesting thread that could cause some unique ideas to get put out there. Yeah, I like that idea for a thread. I'll give it a thumbs up.
2. Knowing your partner - I've seen a few threads about partners at EoFF lately, it seems the masses of EoFF-based relationships have allowed such threads to blossom. I'll give this a half mark, it's alright but as mentioned, there have been a few of those kind of threads around lately.
3. Do you feel abnormal? I know I do! All the time. :D It's perfectly normal. I'll give this a mark because I like learning about my fellow EoFFers and reading some of the posts that it brought about wasn't bad.
4. Let's Play FFIV! Okay, that's a good thread, because there's never a bad time to do one of these. Pretty much an instant point there.
5. Steak. It's very easy to make threads about Steak. I'm gonna have to pass on giving out a mark for it. It probably doesn't help that I'm not a massive steak fan.

3.5/5 for shion - not bad, though!

Tifa's Boobs
1. How important is EoFF in your life? That was a great thread and it is a great question. I love threads like this.
2. Will FFXV 'Phoenix Down' the FF franchise? A good question that has generated some good discussion. Another point for TB's.
3. Bullying is not cool but it's good that we can discuss it with each other and this thread is good for that, obviously.
4. Your EoFF Twin! I liked this thread a lot, too. Sam gets another mark and that's 4/4... can she make it 5/5 to equal Pike... or better?
5. FFVIII is objectively the worst Final Fantasy. X( NO SHE CAN NOT. Urgh, this thread... *storms off*

1. WK asks us what the hardest FF dungeon is, and it's certainly an original question as far as I can recall. Yeah, I like this well enough.
2. Do you think VI's large cast helps or hinders the game? Well, that's another unique question, and another point!
3. Squall: Great protagonist or snarky dip trout? Instant point for the title alone, but the thread was an interesting one, so it's earned.
4. FFIV Music Appreciation - We need more music appreciation around the FF forums and this is naturally one good way to get it going. I haven't played enough of IV to know just how amazing it is, but I respect the thread. Also, great to see four different threads in four different FF forums making up WK's 4/4 so far...
5. Least favourite job in the Tactics series! Another good FF discussion thread!

Actually, it pretty much is an analogous situation. 1, 2 and 4 on the PSP had their textures, sprites and backgrounds enhanced, so that they fit the HD resolution. X/X-2 is getting the same, the graphics were 3D from the get-go, only textures and character models are given a higher resolution. A similar remake for the PS1-era games would require them to completely redraw the prerendered backgrounds, making work on such a remake far more costly.

This is pretty much keeps it in line with FFIV and XII where you're better off never using Meteor or Scathe if you want to get anything done. At least in FFXII flooding the queue with a high level spell can serve a purpose strategically. Its one of the key strategies for taking down Zodiark with fewer headaches.
