Awww, you don't know Gilgamesh? That's a shame, he's the only character that is a genuine character in more than one of the games (so far he's in FFI, FFIV, FFV, FFVI, FFVIII, FFIX, FFXI, FFXII, FFXIII, FFXIII-2, FFXIV, Dissidia, Type-0, Dissidia 012, Theatrhythm and a few other spinoff FF games such as All the Bravest) as he is able to travel between Final Fantasy universes using "portals in the Rift". He's hilarious, my fave appearance I've seen so far is in FFXII. :D

The only other characters to make appearances in more than one game are through MMO's using them as special limited-time characters (eg. Lightning, Shantotto).

Hey, if it weren't for me, Cloud would have gone out very early in round one. But when you're talking about the final eight characters we have here, I see him as my least favourite. I do find a lot of people are favouring games rather than characters in this elimination contest, though, and I hope people do focus on the characters they like the most rather than the games they like the most. I like VII the most, sure, and my favourite character is from VII, but that doesn't mean I have to vote for all the other characters, too. :p

Poor Red. I couldn't bring myself to knock him out of the contest as I do love him, but at the same time I knew he had to go in order for this game to progress. Just had to let the others deal to the horrible business we'll have to apply to many loved characters in these late stages!

I think it's generally agreed that Zack is a better developed character compared to Cloud, but Cloud has the nostalgia factor, and many haven't played CC.

I'm not at all surprised that Tifa has made it this far, she is one of the most genuine characters in FF.
I am shocked that Sephiroth has made it this far since people on this forum often seem to forget that he had some amazing character developement.
Same thing with Rikku, but only because lots of people only consider her the token odd girl like Yuffie or Vannille.
