Kuro will take the case~ ♥
I apologise for being a big smelly hypocrite with my lack of vote yesterday :( but I am glad we have come to a truce, jungle!
but without the doctor at hand, I wonder how we all survived the night. bulletproof town maybe?
I also don't like how nik is flying under the radar pretty majorly. posting to not get killed off but not voting and not contributing at all. you've posted now! tell us your thoughts on the three days you've not commented on!
also ugh we lost the doc and the cop that is no good
Princey has said there are 7 members left. If Kuro is right these are Miso, Nik, Jungle, Kuro, Marcy, Opeo and Fujio
Opeo and Fujio were responsible for the votes that killed Mr. Doctor. These two are most prime suspects to be mafia. Opeo has been responsible for the two deaths in this town. Fujio did not dispel the acquisition that Fujio was a mafia.
Marcy and Jungle are best friends now, or is this a secret truce between them as allies?
Miso and Nik are quiet. Too Quiet.
As for Kuro. I can only put forward that Kuro was on Mr. Doctors side in the end. If Kuro was a bad guy, Kuro wouldn't have voted with Mr. Doctor, but Kuro wouldn't have voted at all and let Mr Doctor be voted off by Opeo and Fujio.
Fujio and Opeo are still number one suspects. Kuro still thinks that Fujio is a bad guy, not Opeo.
##Vote: Fujio
Kuro wants to know what Opeo has to say. Opeo said he followed Mr. Doctors logic, but voted to kill him anyway.
Next week on "Kuro! Detective-chan!": Who stole the cookies from the Kitchen!
Kuro had more thoughts.
Why would Fujio vote at all if Kuro and Mr. Doctor were voting for a Townie. The Mafia would benefit from Townies fighting as they would not need to get their hands dirty. This means that Fujio's vote was likely to save Opeo. This would mean they are on the same side and are both Mafia.
I still maintain that I do not, to my knowledge, have special voting powers! I suspect it has something to do with Kuro's role based on the end of Day one, but I don't think it's worth speculating over at this point. It seems like some sort of lynch protection role would be too overpowered in the hands of mafia, so likely Kuro is town. As for saying that I follow his logic, I mean I understand what he was trying to say. And that was: I voted Honey instead of Kuro because both were mafia and I was also mafia, and Kuro must have a more important role than Honey. I broke the tie between Honey and Ryu himself, not Kuro. So for the statement to be true Ryu would be the super important mafia guy, not Kuro. Really, it was sort of a silly "no u" vote at first, but when he kept at it I really did start to find it all very fishy so I left it as my vote for the day.
So I think it's time I role claimed, seeing as I feel like I could be the "easy lynch" for today with yesterday's events.
I'm the No Push-over. (Katamari for Bulletproof Townie, because the mafia kill with katamari, not guns with bullets in them.) I would say that's why there was no night kill, but I wouldn't have thought I'd be a likely night kill target. It would be so easy to lynch me today and save that kill for someone else. I'm hoping that means we have another protective role :I
ahahahahahaha so what does this mean about Kuro then?
No but seriously. I was thinking along the same lines as Opeo, "Kuro can probably protect from lynches or something and that feels like a town power" and Kuro was like, "oooh I'm not telling" instead of saying "wtf I don't know" like the rest of us or "read the rules dumb butt." He let us believe he maybe had a related power role.
And I maintain he must have known he wouldn't need to vote Honey to save himself seeing as he didn't, so he knew the rules and didn't point that out to us when we spent all that time speculating?
interesting. that could be why there was no night kill. unless kuro wants to speak up and shed some light on his apparent plan of action? that might also explain the lack of deaths.
Fujio revealing that Fujio cannot be killed at night would imply that anyone who votes for Fujio in the day is Mafia. This means that Fujio is untargetable during the day or night.
Kuro knows that makes Kuro suspicious, but knowing this Kuro votes for Fujio anyway.
I am going to believe fujio's claim for now. it conveniently explains how nobody died last night, and with the interesting name choice, I lean towards it being the truth. assuming that fujio was targeted in this case - why? any thoughts on this kuro?
opeo doesn't give me any bad vibes, nor does jungle. I would like to hear more from opeo, now that we have the reasons for the lynches out of the way. a lot of his posts were just around the reasons for the lynches, and kuro's... whatever that was. :shobon:
I would have liked to have seen more from nik and miso today - as I mentioned previously, these guys are flying below the radar too much for my liking.
##vote: nik
he has posted once a day, nothing useful, no votes. he appears to check in, makes his required post to stay alive, and then slinks off to let the rest of us bat our hands at each other. I keep forgetting he is still playing! it is setting off more and more alarm bells for me as the days go on - when we increasingly need input, he is staying firmly in the shadows.
I am not sure whether I will be able to make another post before I get home from work tomorrow, so this is where I feel I stand for the moment. I don't like voting inactives, but there is a point in which it is too much. miso sits in this category too, but to a much lesser extent.
As things Currently Stand. Miso will be voted based on the voting rules. Kuro would like to hear from all members before the close of today with their thoughts. Kuro still suspsects Fujio but this is based on Miso, Opeo and Nik being quiet.
I really don't think Opeo is mafia. I think his defense on how incredibly stupid it would be for him to vote Honey on day one is pretty solid. There's high risk high reward, then there's just plain suicide. And you say you were "with Mr. Doctor" but let's look at just what exactly that means:
This post didn't really didn't make sense to me at first, but now I understand. Do you know what that bolded lines say to me? Ryu, not being an experienced player of the game, was under the impression that the mafia knows not just their own identities, but the identities of everyone in the game. They do not, as you might know. They know each other's identities only. They don't know that Ryu is the doctor, they just know that Ryu is not a member of the mafia. This also assumed you have a power role. He's saying I am mafia here because I refused to vote Honey, a mafia member, or you, a power role that would implicate me. He implies on day two I take that risk to vote the power role anyway because I'm low on numbers and need to save my butt. Now if mafia knew who the power roles were like Ryu says, then yes, this makes sense and is actually kind of brilliant. But they don't, so the theory doesn't work. (Though I should mention there is such a thing as a Mafia Cop that can find out one person's role a night, but we don't know if that's in this game or not).
But that's enough covering my ass. Let's talk about you Kuro, and your supposed power role.
So now that rule 16 has been pointed out to us and we've all regained our abilities to read, I will reiterate that we now know how the ties on days 1 and 2 were broken by rules, not by a magical Kuro.
And yet here he is taking full credit. Why? More importantly, let me again bring up how on day one, Kuro did not react at all to the tie between himself and Honey. He could have saved himself. If he knew he was town, he SHOULD have saved himself. He didn't because he knew he didn't have to. This means two things, he knew the rules all along and let us distract ourselves, and/or he didn't care because both he and Honey were mafia and it was a loss either way.
##Vote: Kuro
Now hopefully there weren't eight million posts since I started typing this up.
And furthermore, the mafia would have no reason to think you weren't telling the truth, so even if you were just doing this for trouts and giggles, wouldn't you be their immediate priority for hinting at such a strong role, especially last night when there was no more doctor to protect you? Instead, I was presumably targeted. Why, when you hinted at such a strong role and most of the town was on your side?
Kuro is unpredictable. Town generally lynches people like that. I'm not so quick on the trigger, especially because Kuro had no obvious reason for beginning to crack; they weren't under any real pressure or scrutiny. So this only draws the attention of the town, and that is dangerous.
Fujio: Kuro didn't claim that they were responsible for the lynches. Just that they were magical. It was a separate "role claim". Don't conflate the two.
Except that he describes a whole fight scene between himself and Honey when prompted for more information about his role. If you read the final quote he straight up says "an additional hidden vote." How in the world is that not taking credit for the lynches?
Oh well that rule explains a lot and raises even more questions. Kuro is just a big ol' phony :(
The way everybody breezes in and then breezes out really saddens me. I like robust debates and multi-person conversations. Most of the time I find myself talking to myself. :(
##Unvote: Miso
##Vote: Nik
I'll be honest, most of what has been going on this game has taken place when I've been sound asleep in my bed or at work. It's very hard to keep up when I seem to be on an entirely different schedule that the rest of you.
Right now, I'm in the process of reading post after post after post to figure out who the individual that I have no trust for is.
I will return with my ideas >:3
D:< How did I become a target so quickly?!
By posting 1 fluff post each day, and then by showing up when suddenly you are the biggest target. You could've waited at least forty minutes before arriving to make it seem less suspicious :shobon:
And by saying you were going to post thoughts and not returning. :Colbert: Seriously, what the heck is everybody doing? Maybe I am the only pro-town player left and you are all off scheming.
zzzz
Fujio could be lying. Bulletproof is a useful role to claim as it cannot be town verified.
zzz
But other suspicion? Minimal. So maybe he's telling the truth. It would stop us lynching him pointlessly, and better to claim that now than when under pressure.
zzzz
Nik should probably just die.
zzz
I wish I could kill people. I would kill so many of them. Frustrating.
zzzz
WOW GUYS WE HAVE LIKE SIX HOURS
sorry I just am really passionate and it is so boring having nobody to talk to
Maybe all we need is to figure out who the true lurkers are and who might just be busy with real life things. I hope someone comes and joins me soon though, because I am STARTING TO GO CraZY
Wow, Jungle is going crazy. Kuro wants to know what raZY is and my mafia goons are them.
Fukui says a lot of words that make Kuro's head hurt. Kuro would like to examine some points.
In day 1 Kuro did not change his vote because there was a tie. Kuro expected a tie to result in a no lynch. Not knowing any motives in day one made sense not to vote to vote randomly. This is why Kuro did not change her vote.
In day 2, Kuro agred with Mr doctor. Kuro thought that Fujishi is a bad guy and that Mr Doctor was a good guy. I voted to fight along side Mr Doctor. I used my magic power to find the intention of Mr Doctors heart. Mr Doctor was a good guy and Kuro wanted to fight with him.
Kuro is a good guy.
Kuro has a theory on why there was no kill last night. There are two mafia members left. One of these bad guys are inactive. The other is an active member. The active member was waiting for an update from the inactive player. When no update came, the dawn came and the chance to vote was lost.
To come up with a reason, Fujio claims he is immune to night kills, so Fujio was the target. Kuro thinks Fujio was waiting on an update from an inactive player, received none and made an excuse to divert blame.
From the details we have from princey, all members either have "town" or "mafia" in the name. Why would Fujio be different. Because Fujio is a bad guy. Why would Fujio claim to be bulletproof when the weapon is a katamari. It must have been copied from an old game of mafia.
Interesting theories about Fujio. I have mentioned earlier that a five man mafia, although possible, is unlikely. In my experience, mafia always have a back up kill choice. Waiting for an update seems unlikely.
not all members have town or mafia in the name - look at the lover bros. :)
but nik stays high on my list, he has not helped his case today either with his lack of posting again. i dont think i will be changing my vote today.
We're getting down to crunch time and I don't feel like we have anything even half-baked to go on. I want to kill Nik because I do not like that he has posted nearly nothing, but we won't learn anything from that. I want to kill Kuro because I don't understand the true extent of their role but that is potentially detrimental to the town and not understanding something does not mean you should kill it.
When we wake up in the morning it will likely be just five of us remaining. If Kuro is right, and there are two members of the mafia remaining, then it is LyLo -- Lynch or Lose. We don't want that situation.
!
DAY 3 is over! This means voting has come to a conclusion and an announcement will be up shortly! Who dies? What is role does this person play? Is the game over? What happens tonight? But I thought you said the game might be over? Did I? Find out what I was talking about soon!

Having by now gotten into the swing of things, the Dead Prince puts on some music, and the Cousins make a dance of their procession to the gallows at the end of DAY 3. Some rock, some samba, and some twerk. I mean, why not? Better to send off everyone with a light heart, right?
Someone brought cake! Someone else brought sparkling cider! Someone else else put up balloons! That last bit is a little too much, guys. Most of the party-goers can ignore the poor taste, but the over-enthusiasm reminds the the Dead Prince, who cannot eat, drink, or blow (balloons), that he has a job to do, and that is to make someone else not be able to eat, drink, or blow. So he gets the box.
The townspeople, now seven in number, elbow each other when they notice and someone turns off the music. And accidentally put on something creepier. Well, that kills the mood. The Prince finishes up counting, and you guys realize you can kill the music (thank god).
"Again we have come to the end of another DAY, and again I come to read to you the results of your hard work. Through deduction and deliberation, my Cousins have found Nik guilty of sedition, murder, and betrayal. With no further ado, we string him up and let him swing."
Nik goes without a fight. He sticks another piece of cake in his mouth and quietly (chewingly) mounts the stairs and then the stool, while Jungle slips on the noose, and then cranks the rope higher and higher. Nik barely balances on the stool, and the cake sticks in his mouth; this is it. Jungle goes to kick the stool out from beneath, but before he does, a stool leg snaps, and gravity does the rest of the work. Nik is dead, folks.
He was...!Nik was a Vanilla Townie! Sorry, team, it looks like the NIGHT shall carry on! It shall last ten and eight (18) hours, and may the innocent sleep soundly (as possible)!
DAY 4 opens like a thread hurriedly unlocked, suddenly and abrupt. The morning twilight lasts all of no time, which is a notably short time. The Cousins, eager as ever to do their grim work, roll out of bed with muted threats and rumbling stomachs. The Prince has kindly strewn cereal across the breakfast table, as a good ghost should. He also hands you a newspaper, something he hand-drew/wrote in lipstick and...blood. Of course. Anyways, it does inform you there was one death during NIGHT 3.
Last night's victim was...!
Jungle, a Vanilla Townie
Just the one, huh? Well, that is good, since with only five players left, losing more during the NIGHT could only mean bad, bad things. You have twenty-four (24) hours for DAY 4, and you might need every minute of it. And someone should sweep up the Lucky Charms.
I told you, fool. You can't save anyone. Decteive, superhero. It means nothing if those you want to protect die. Begone fool.
The Town is in Trouble. If a town dies today, the mafi win. Here are my thought
Miso - Too evasive of the game for my liking. Does not want to contribute to avoid revealing her intentions.
Opeo - voting in day 1 is too suicidal to be mafia. Is likely a mafia.
Fujio - suspicious, however my surviving 2 nights would imply he cannot vote me despite our being at one another's throats. I hate to admit it, but he is probably telling the truth.
Marcy is therefore my best guess to be mafia aligned. Has not shown a strong preference either way, has contributed to the discussion, but is smart enough to avoid suspicion.
At this point, with 3 ir less town members, it is foolish to hide anymore. I am no superhero, I have no magical powers. I am a vanilla townie. My motives fave always been town related and they intend to stay that way.
##vote: Marcy
Fornatting and spelling are off due to posting on my mobile.
Opeo "likely to be a townie", rather.
what have i done to be deserving of suspicion? we are down to the nitty gritty here, time to get our fingers out.
why your sudden change of heart regarding fujio? you were pretty determined that fujio was the bad guy, and have been for the entire game. decide that your crazy pushing wasn't working anymore, so you should change your target to someone who you might be able to rally others around? you say that you being alive explains fujio being town. how?
your posts read like a newbie to mafia - you make incorrect assumptions about how the game works, how the mafia works internally - which is why i've generally seen you as one of the good guys. but maybe this was all just a ploy? causing confusion, misleading the town... all shady behaviour that i have overlooked until now.
miso and opeo have done nothing all game. i am hesitant to point fingers at them again because of the horrible call i made yesterday. jungle did vote miso yesterday though, maybe he was finally feeling threatened?
i will post more when i am home.
for the most part I believe fujio's roleclaim. however with two near-inactives I wonder if there could be the remotest possibility that either opeo or miso are in fact the bulletproof town and fujio is taking advantage of their consistent silence. but I really do feel this is a shot in the dark, and is just something I was pondering. gotta keep all doors open.
opeo's first day vote seems to be the main reason for finger pointing in his general direction, and his defence of it is pretty sound. however, the first day ended with what, 5 votes? perhaps he voted honey to distance himself from his fellow mafia or even usual day 1 banter, and then the day went away and nobody else voted and then the tie led to a lynch anyway? accidental team kill?
miso... needs to actually post. I have nothing. no reason to be suspicious, but no reason to be sure he is town. the two above I lean towards town for both of them, but for miso I am positively neutral... and that is an unsafe thing to be as it makes me lean scum for no good reason other than... I've got nothing else.
I posted my thoughts on kuro above. so. that's you all. and if I had to pick one of you it would be miso at this point. and I hate that its the worst choice I could make. :(
Idk if it's Opera or EoFF but Under the Sea puts the whole front page in the quick reply box instead of a reply so quoting posts is a pain in the butt for me.

I'm also mighty suspicious of Miso being just barely here enough to avoid the inactive kill.
"You didn't die from being the target of the night kill because we never voted for you" Said no mafia member ever. Fujio claiming immunity from the night kill gives him immunity for being target in the day, so long as he can prove that he was the target of the night kill and that his ability counter acted it. So we need to take his word on the fact that he is immune to the night kills, which I believe he is. Either he is immune from Night kills through his ability, or because as a mafia he will never be a target.Quote:

Ugh this has been a tough time. :(
Half an hour left! Are you excited to see how this plays out? I am excited to see how this plays out!
DAY 4 is officially over! You can post all you like until flavor is posted, and then NIGHT 4 will begin! (Or will it?!)
The Prince idly hits a paddleball on his cabin porch. It is quiet. It was quiet all DAY. There was a terse exchange after breakfast, and then everyone went to their rooms. Other than bathroom breaks, there has been no sign of his Cousins anywhere. He kicks a stone; it flies off into the brush, but exactly where, he cannot tell because it is getting dark. ...Dark!
A little ghostly floating later, the Prince finds that the ballot box has already been stuffed with a few votes. Okay, so people did get out and vote; maybe through their windows? How is that for democracy in action? Well, whatever: business time.
The public announcement system crackles to life, and the Prince's voice comes out. "Ahem, ahem, ten-four, all my Cousins in the house," he goes. "Results of today's pollings are in. We have ourselves a winner for the rope [i]to[/b]-night! Those few survivors have voted to suss out the Mafia for once and for all, and we have decided, drum roll please...KUROOOOOO must be Mafia! He wins a one-way trip to the gallows, no dessert, and all of our sympathy!"
Perhaps a little tiredly, the Cousins file out of their cabin rooms and make way to the execution site. The DEADLY katamari is there, as usual, and seems to glow a darker black than the falling twilight. Kuro twitches and gibbers, but compliantly accepts the noose. The rest of his relations jointly mutter Battlestar Galatica's famous line, "So say we all," as Marcy drops the trapdoor. One sickening snap later, and the deed is done.
Did we get him? Was he...! No! Kuro was a Vanilla Townie! Thus, DAY 4 ends and NIGHT 4 begins! Inactivity also kills Fujio and Miso, and their roles are...! Fujio was a No Push-Over, and Miso was a Vanilla Townie! With three Townies dead, and two players remaining, the game has effectively ended!
Who was the Mafia? Marcy or Opeo Maybe not one of them, but both of them? There is only one way to find out: let me type it out in another post!
Edit: Ha, I can edit! Specifically to say NIGHT 4 comes and goes. The Mafia has won! You can talk about this and how it sucks/rocks while I type up what I got to. Thanks for playing, guys!
Mood music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2xVTE-2eik
"Nooooooooooo! Noooooooo, noooooooo, no, nononono, no, noooooooooo," wails the Dead Prince. "My revenge has be forestalled, stopped, and demolished! Tanj!"
Really, it sucks to be a ghost with no recourse for murder-justice. He fades away with the darkness, into oblivion, eternally a failure and failed by his family. That abnormally large SLAUGHTER katamari stays exactly here, though, and Marcy, the Mafia Mastermind uses it to mop up the corpses of Fujio and Miso. Kuro has already been cut down and stuck on it's spiky impaling surface. The katamari looks positively happy for an inanimate object. Our one surviving Vanilla Townie, Opeo, walks out of his cabin in horror and a bathrobe.
"Wha--but---how--," Opeo lets the questions cascade and jumble all at once. "You are scum, Marcy? And you killed the other two? H-how? Fujio was No Push-Over; how could you kill him without using the katamari?"
Marcy is presumably amiable and answers Opeo's questions. "Yes, yes, the katamari, he was, and with this." Marcy does not hold the gun with the most practiced ease, but when she unloads it at Opeo, she only misses somewhat; she also hits a bit, and lethally enough.
"This crown is mine now, especially after the succession has gotten so short," Marcy laughs, as she dons it. With the power of the King imbued into it, Marcy ascends to the heavens and commemorates her coronation by turning her Mafia Cabin Thrilling Killing katamari into a Mafia Cabin Thrilling Killing star! It is composed of 70% murdered cousins, 14% woodland debris, 14% cabin kindling, 1% breakfast cereal, and 1% democratic voting system tools.
SO, TIME FOR THE BIG REVEAL. In another post. (I am just trying to up my post count, okay, do not judge me.)
THE PLAYERS have always been the initial, what, twelve who outright joined. There was only one mystery contender, who will stay mysterious unless they want to out themselves, but as for the others, our players were:
CimminyCricket
EtcherSketcher
Jessweeee♪
Jinx
Jiro
Laddy
LocoColt04
Mr. Shauna
Mystery Contender
Shauna
Shorty
Timekeeper
THAT DOES NOT ADD UP, if you look at the number of players (12) and the number of, well, players (22). But there is a difference between people behind the accounts and the number of accounts, and the idea there is that all the townspeople got an additional account. And one of the Mafia members got an extra account. This was, ideally, to help extend the number of days, give new players a second chance as they learned how to argue, give people someone they could trust (essentially, you were all Masons) and so no one suffered a permanently bumming DAY 1 lynch/NIGHT 1 kill.
I STARTED TO TYPE ALL THE DETAILS OUT, but eff that. Here, you can look at the Google spreadsheet I used to plot the game out. It is a little messy, and there may be slight differences in what things may say, but it is pretty spot-on: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...3c&usp=sharing
JUMPING BACK UP TWO PARAGRAPHS, in a way, it was also really good that I added so many extra accounts to help with how many deaths there turned out to be. I have played games of Mafia where people are inactive all day, never vote, show up once and leave, and then get replaced two times in the same game, and I always get frustrated as one of the other players, so I said screw that. If people do not post, they die. I did not think it would be so hard for people to find an hour in their day to post, especially since they said they wanted to play, but maybe I was wrong. Maybe if this rule gets used again, we should go for longer (much longer days). We might turn into MS, and at that point, we may just want to join up with those folks.
HERE ARE THE SECRET QUICKTOPICS for the game, but they are not even worth looking at. The Love-Bro forum died because they did, the Mafia forum was just Marcy telling me who she wanted dead, and the Dead forum had to stay dead because I realized a little late that, duh, if someone is both alive and dead, then that is a huge, huge exploitation and I am a moron.
ALL IN ALL, I hope the game was as fun as it could be, though I suspect a lot of people lost a lot of interest in it, and for that I apologize. Hugs, fire, and everlasting love to you all.
-Madonna
I can't be bothered signing in to my Marcy account, so I would just like to thank the town for making it pretty easy to win. ;) I was worried at the start when I lost my whole team, but I tried to play smart, and the inactive town helped a super amount.
Thanks MDNA! It was super fun, although it would have been nicer if people were around. I probably would have lost if that was the case. I crack under pressure. xD
I hate you, Shauna. You were the Light to my L.
The Split personality from Kuro was an idea I was thinking about on day 2, implementing it towards the end, about an hour or so before voting. It ended being ahead of schedule when I accidentally posted on the wrong account, Ryu. Ryu was supposed to say "I can see you have deciphered my logic" or something like that, but I posted it on the Kuro account and rolled with it. My general manner of speaking as Kuro was Light Hearted, so I figured a grim dark batman sort of person would work.
The Idea was that Kuro saying that the Mafia were super nasty would make her the target of the night kill which the Doctor would prevent. This fell through when Ryu was Lynched, but Kuro managed to survive 2 further days anyways.
I knew Marcy was Shauna, but I did not know her role. She was pretty tight lipped. I assumed that she was a Mafia during Day 3, but I was more suspicious of Fujio. I stuck to my guns on that one.
Being the wildcard was interesting though. Kuro didn't think everyone would vote for her though, Sob~ ♥
As Fujio and Opeo both I was pretty positive Kuro was mafia until he let it slip that knowing Ryu's role was his "secret power" as a Vanilla Townie. Once I opened my PM to see I had two accounts it was pretty clear who are "secret" players were. But unfortunately it was pretty much right after I PMed our host asking if I could subtly hint on that when I lost my connection :<
I had heard that some players were getting multiple accounts. I wasn't aware it was basically everyone xD. I had coined to the fact that one player was playing as both Fujio and Opeo which made it pretty hard to continue as Kuro after Ryu's Death.
I am pretty curious to find out who Miso was though. I think she made all of 5 posts towards the thread.
