I think is character model is sort of cute, and I like him because he recognizes the flaws within himself and changes them on his own; in a story about changing the hearts of people so they will realize their wrongdoing, that’s an incredibly powerful message.
Also their personalities just fit really well together.
That said, it was hilarious watching her shut him down.

I was freaking out, sure that I wouldn't be able to beat the game without doing Mementos all over again. Only had one Revivadrin, and 2 revivals for full party. But nah, I have 10 revive things for full HP, so I'm okay. xD

Nah, I'm gonna be playing in on PS2. Has there been a rerelease for PS4? I thought the only rerelease was P4 Gold on PSP.
Golden was on Vita. P3 has a rerelease on PSP where you can be a girl. But if you wanna get it on PS2 get FES because it’s better

The PSTV plays Vita carts, I think, so you do have to buy the Vita game. Not sure if it supports digital copies. I know Formy and Carny played Golden on PSTV.
Persona 3 FES is an updated rerelease of Persona 3. It has an additional scenario that takes place after the game’s story but that’s pretty eh in my opinion, but it has a ton of QOL improvements over the original. I still like to recommend Portable as the ideal version for people since it’s the only one where you can play as a girl and control all your party (though a big chunk of the game is made to look more like a visual novel, but that’s a small price to pay for the improvements imo), but if you don’t have a PSP or Vita (not sure if PSTV plays PSP games but I doubt it), FES is the way to go and it’s the version available on the PS3 PSN.

Update: I checked and apparently Persona 3 Portable is also available on PSTV, if that changes anything for you!
Cut your PS2 and PS4 in half and tape them together. On average it's a PS3 and you can play FES

Don’t worry - like I said, some things actually play out better in vanilla P4, imo. Unlike P3, P4 didn’t really need an enhanced version since it started out more polished.
Yep. It released originally on PS2 and was re-released on the PS3 as a PS2 classic game. FES is the one I eventually beat on my PS3 though I did own the original unupgraded version for a long time. Playing it on the PS2 is actually better in one very nice way though: there's a later stage in the dungeon tartarus that doesn't emulate quite right on PS3 so the walls flash like they're trying to give you a seizure. It's not quite as bad as that sounds but it is a bit annoying. You wouldn't have that problem on the PS2.Quote:

It's not even that I mind playing as a male character; so many games default to that, it would basically kill gaming if I did. Heck, even in FFXIV I have a relatively high-level alt that is a male character that I play for story and use as a second bank. It's not that I dislike it, just that if I'm getting invested in a story like this, I feel a bit more self-inserted playing as a female. And in a game like Persona where all of your character's dialogue is chosen by you, that sort of feeling extends.

I’d assume you could get a PSP cheap nowadays - unless you emulate it or use Vita/PSTV, that’s the only way you can play and persona as a girl sadly :(
That is of course aside from P2 Eternal Punishment where you play as reporter Maya Amano but that’s kind of a different thing completely ;)

Oh yeah, Golden changed some voices so I can’t remember his original voice - but I can do an incredible impression of his Sam Riegel voice! Also, Chile had her voice changed and yet that choice was much more controversi
Yeah Teddy is a creepy dude. His voice acting grew on me though. At least enough that I didn't mind it for long.

Okay, I'm finally actually giving this a real replaythrough. Working on getting all of the achievements, so I'm dating everyone. I really wish there was a way to reach max rank with the ladies without cheating on them. That said. I'm also kind of enjoying cheating on them. xD

Yeah, ever since P4 you can actually reach max rank as friends. They later reintroduced this feature into the female path of P3. You still need to romance a girl to get to max rank with her in P3 as a boy though.

Whenever I think about Koromaru, I get taken back to the Persona 3-themed mafia. I was Koromaru. He was very fun to roleplay as.
Koro-chan is basically the moment the Persona team said "smurf it" to hiding any pretense this series wasn't directly inspired by JoJo's Bizarre Adventures and it is glorious.
