I like the original better too, but I also think that since it's EoFF, if the blue one was worked on a little more with regards to shading or something, it might be more suitable to EoFF than the original.
It's my favourite so far nonetheless. A nice mix of old and new, and not too flashy while still looking very stylish and professional.
After getting used to the current one....change is bad.

For anyone who responded to my last post, I mean that this is not a site redesign. The only changes that have been made are not to the coding (aside from one possible font change on the left) but rather to the banner image and the background image. They haven't changed the news design, they haven't changed the headers, they haven't changed the images or coding of the stuff just below the banner, the feature/poll stuff is exactly the same, etc.
So while creating something that looks similar is okay, making something that is nothing but image, font or colouring changes is not really a good idea.
Of course, I'm not judging, but I get the feeling that anyone in the right mind would agree with me... because if you only change colouring, fonts and images then you're pretty much just doing a minor change to Cid's design, and we could have done that ourselves so you shouldn't really expect money for it.
I'm not saying anything is bad, I'm just giving advice to people who are being serious about their submissions.
At the end of the day, it depends on what Cid's looking for - whether he wants a new layout, or perhaps a new colour scheme, or even both. Frankly, I don't know.Quote:

An altered version of my design. I've ditched the white borders and added abit more colour. I've also altered the top & bottom logos slightly as well.
Edit:
For some reason, Firefox is showing the table colour around the news items in white intead of dark blue. The right hand table colour isn't showing up either. I'll see if I can sort it out tomorrow.
Page works fine in IE6 though.

This is where I learned HTML about five or six years ago.
i use mostly adobe photoshop to make websites, like i do the design stuff in photoshop and then most of the other work can be done with ms frontpage and macromedia dreamwaver. there are tons of tutorials up in the internet, how to make very beautiful stuff with photoshop...just type 'photoshop tutorials' in the google search and u'll find hundreds of pages filled with useful information :) ...i know that photoshop at the begginning can be very hard and it propably will take a lot of time to understand how it works, but after a while you can do propably much better design than you ever though could be possible :) ...also there are macromedia flash and many many other handy stuff...you just have to try out different ways :)

btw. my browser is Mozilla, while both of these mistakes look correct in IE, they do not in Mozilla...so something is done not quite right :)
dont get me wrong now :P ..i didn't come to cavil..not at all....even conversely ...i think these pages are some of the best over here :) ...just thought that you will gladly fix these thing...also i'd be very glad if anyone told me about mistakes on my page...

Just a thought, not just for the last entry but for some others too...
Keep in mind that there will most likely be more FF games in the future. Having an area where you list "I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X X2 XI XII" is not really a good idea if you don't have room for XIII, XIV and so on. Not to mention T, TA, CC... you get the idea. We're not designing this for a done and dusted series, we're designing this for a site that will grow in sections just as the site should allow itself to grow around the new additions.
