SonicYouth wins because I'm not about to go look for an Al Bhed translator, and plus his story is so much better than everyone else's anyway.
Samuraid wins because he's the smartest.
Dragon Ash wins because #eoff > *+1
Yeah, you tell me this after I try balancing my laptop upside down and playing around with mirrors. Thanks a lot. :mad:Quote:

It's meant to say Jeremiah, but apparently the translator couldn't cope with that. :p
still waiting on 36 members to send in their responses. hopefully they will get on it this weekend.
Is it possible for an updated list (like the one listing the number of representatives who've sent in their responses out of the total number) to be posted?
I'm wondering who still hasn't posted their response to FF7.
I think everybody who hasn't given their answers knows who they are. Then again,it might be nice to see what fourms are missing how many people.
General Chat is missing two responses, although I'll probably post that forum last anyway.

I don't know if all this business about "Even I turned mine in" is self deprication or immodesty. Starting to sound more of the latter.
No, just saying that people can get off our backs for being slow. It gets kinda annoying, especailly when you have a computer that likes to crash in the middle of something, and you loose all of your saved work.
I was just kidding....
Sorry, had a bout of sickness and had to sleep it off. I've got a few I can post now. First up is Final Fantasy IX. This task is another trivia based question, although there are a few correct answers depending on how you interpret my question, as you shall see. Plus, this forum features a rare matchup of party leaders, boris no no and Genius Lynx. They are probably the least well known of the leaders, but both have a lot to offer the world of EoFF.
Phil (representing the BAotW party):Quote:
Answer both of the following:
a) What is the only tetra master card that can only be obtained at one point in the game at once specific place? Where do you get this card?
b) Who do you meet living in Madain Sari on disc 4?
a) Pretty sure that'd be the Namingway card found in Kuja's room in the desert palace.
b) Not too sure- I know the mogs live there. I never actually went there when I played through disc 4. If this is a typo and you meant disk 3, then its oviously everybodys FAVORITE little snot, Eiko Carol.
Meghan (representing the #eoff party):
a) What is the only tetra master card that can only be obtained at one point in the game at once specific place? Where do you get this card?
There's like, 3 cards really hard to get, ya? But I think the rarest is the Fenrir Card. That you can only get by challenging Oliver while in Lindblum, in disc 3.
b) Who do you meet living in Madain Sari on disc 4?
Um... that would be Lani.
boris no no (representing the Fluffy Pink party):
a) What is the only tetra master card that can only be obtained at one point in the game at once specific place? Where do you get this card?
The Namingway card. You find it in the desert palace in that room where kuja talks to you! I wish I had one of those teleport thingys…I love the sound they make! Whoooooooosh! you can only get it after you’ve come back from oielvert and given kuja the gulug stone and after eiko has been kidnapped by zorn and thorn. Its by this purple flower thing…is it a flower?? Anyway. Its near the front in the middle!!
I’m so glad I made notes on this bit!
b) Who do you meet living in Madain Sari on disc 4?
Lani! When you go into eikos kitchen and down to where she keeps her earrings all the mogs are gathered there. You see Lani for a brief moment before she jumps away!
Genius Lynx (representing the Unne Avatar party):
a) Isn't it Bahamut, and you get him from Eidolon Master Leyra at the Card Stadium in Treno?
b) Lani? I forget.
Leene (representing the Ace party):
a)I think you are reffering to the Mog card which you win only from Rare phantom at Memoria.
b)Lani
:thumb: for mentioning how annoying Eiko is, Phil. :)

hurray! thanks for posting that! hope you get better EB!

Discuss your feelings on people who buy and sell FF11 gil online.
Gil sellers, eh? Well, seeing as how I've QUIT PLAYING FFXI, (Yes, I'm insane) I kind of admire them. It's not many people who can make a living out of people's nerdiness, with the exception of square-enix, of course. I can't believe more people haven't tried to live more of nerdiness, after all it's a growing resource, or something.
ANYWAY! If I ever returned to ffxi, I guess I wouldn't like them much, seeing as how I'm a level 8 whm and that THEY KILL ALL THE HORNETS. :mad2: Oh, and I never will get level 9, and that's because MISFIT WON'T PL ME. And everytime she says she will PL me, she decides to abandon me instead, or stand next to me and cheer the enemy on UNTIL I DIE.
Ok, and then I had to express my feelings about people who BUY the gil. Hmm, ok. MISFIT BUYS GIL. I hate her. That's not related to the gil issue, of course, but more other stuff like that she smells like fish.
The moral of this story is: gil sellers are ok as long as I don't play ffxi, and misfit sucks.
:scary::scary::scary::scary::scary:
Bert (representing the #eoff party):
I think that people who buy/sell gil online are just ruining the game expreience for themselves and everyone else. When a level 1 character can just go out and buy 500,000 gil it makes the game very easy. But, it can also help a new player be able get get better equipment so they havea better chance of sticking to the game since they've spent more money on it and they don't have to worry about a little rabit killing them because they have crap armor on.
Mikztsu (representing the Fabio party):
I'm too busy playing FFXI to answer this. Also, minä rakestan cucumbers!
Citizen Bleys (representing the Unne Avatar party):
I guess I should answer this now so I can get back to reading Shadows of Doom -- it's the feel-good book of the year!
What IGE refers to as the "secondary market" is something a book could be written on. Fortunately for those of you who have to read this, I'm a lazy, lazy man, so I'll make it short.
There's really not much I could say that I haven't already. Although it's not technically illegal (because there is no such thing as law enforcement in Hong Kong), it remains morally reprehensible, as all of the gil on all of the servers is the intellectual property of Square-Enix. What it boils down to is that trading in gil is trading the property of someone else not only without their permission, but after it has been expressly forbidden by said party. That aside, most people don't care, and I can live with that. Hell, I steal MP3s myself. I've even bought gil before, but it's not something I'm proud of, and I don't try to justify it--nor do I plan to repeat the offense, unlike the case with MP3s. In both the cases of stealing music and buying gil, it is wrong, plain and simple. Even taking the principle aside, look at the effect the buying and selling of gil has on the game: You have gilsellers camping rare NMs 24/7, making it impossible for legitimate players to claim them, and thereby interrupting the legitimate players' enjoyment of the game--and it's a self-perpetuating cycle. Gilsellers camp the mobs with lucrative drops 24/7, meaning actual players can't use those same NMs to get gil for themselves. However, with food and crafting, leave alone armor, every player has a need for an ingame income. If all other sources of such income are removed, the legitimate player has no recourse save to purchase gil online, thereby feeding the very gilsellers who are preventing them from gaining gil in a legitimate manner. Even beyond the simple matter of monopolizing NMs, there is the MPK; Should a party try to level in an area where lucrative NMs spawn (Kuftal Tunnel and Boyahda Tree both have such NMs, and they are pretty much the only effective places to level within the 50-60 level range), gilsellers will train aggressive monsters onto that party in order to kill them off so that they can't claim the NM from gilsellers. These gilsellers never seem to care whether a party is in an area to compete with them or just level, they just kill everyone, causing people to lose massive amounts of experience which it takes a long time to recover--even assuming the same gilseller doesn't MPK them as soon as they start trying to level again. The majority of gilsellers also add insult to injury by being the rudest sons-of-whores in the game. Gilsellers are the reason that I know what "Cao ni ma" means.
Ultimately, whether it's buying or selling gil, one who participates in the secondary market in any way, shape, or form, is contributing to the ruin of the game for legitimate players, which is why so many have left for WoW even though it is a vastly inferior game.
demonsdragon (representing the Ace party):
The feelings I have on people who sell gil for FFXI online is that it's like a scam. I'm not even sure if the people who sell gill online actually play FFXI.
I've met some people who have bought character's and tons of gil because they didn't want to work for it. It's like a new form of cheating. I don't think it's fair to the people around them. I can honestly say if I had bought something like that from online I'd feel a lot of guilt within me.
Now on the other hand people who have bought gil online they can get started really quickly. They could be an elemenetal staff, or get all of their equipment for that level.
They could give some of their gil to a n00b if they are kind at heart but let's not push it. If they are a mage they could buy all of their spells if they bought a lot of gil online.
But really buying gil online is a bad thing. I don't know how it got started but I don't think it's a good thing. Buying gil online is like their own little GAMESHARK or ACTION REPLAY.
Go Hank! Your moral of the story was cool.

You can get the Ozma card in two distinct places. As far as I know, you can only get Namingway in Kuja's palace.

Revue for Final Fantasy Advent Children--- Kory Owen/Cloud Strider
Back in 1996, Square-Enix, then Squaresoft, came out with a game that put that corporation on the map. The game not only revolutionized video games, but also created a fanatical pop-culture that even today, nine years after, are still part of.
In 2003 Square announced the creation of a new Final Fantasy 7. Rumors had went on for years before that, saying that a new 'game' would be put out, bearing the Final Fantasy 7 logo, they were half right. The new development was of a movie, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. Since the flop of The Spirits Within, many were skeptical about this new movie, however, that first impression soon changed.
The graphics in this new CG-film are above the standards anyone who played Final Fantasy 7 would think. Facial expressions, movements, and textures all create an atmosphere that almost pull us into the movie itself. To say it in my own words: The cutscenes in Final Fantasy X suck, everyone looks boxy and polygonic...
Do you remember fighting Sephiroth? Do you recall the tinny, machine like music that was played at the final battle. That song was called One Winged Angel. If you've seen the new trailers, that is it, playing in the background. So I give Squeenix a big fat O for music. O being Outstanding, of course.
Although the movie hasn't been released, admit it, we already KNOW that its going to kick a.... it is going to be a very nice film. So as my revue, this is what I give it.
Visuals: A++
Music: A++
Violence: Yes please
Sexual Innuendo/scenes: In the forums, people asked, I say no. I hate being right.
Cursing/Obsenities: Mild (Barrett is a pottymouth)
Smoking/Illegal Drugs/Alcholol: Cid Highwind probably does all that, so Probably.
Jenova cells: Plenty
Destai (representing the Ace party):
Write a review, very clever...I really hate reviews for movies that arent even out yet...
Final antasy VII is regarded by most as the series at its best. It was the first game in the series to break away from "past" themes like medieval and industrial revolution and came out with a modern day setting like dark cities, alleways etc. but still kept the ancient ruins and other traditional FF settings. VII gave Final Fantasy an audience outside of Japan. Talks of a remake werent uncommon with the somewhat cliffhanger ending but with events like the losses from the FF:spirits within movie any plans were constantly postponed and never really took off. When I saw the first screenshots I seriously had to wonder was it a elaborate prank. Nope.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the sequel to FFVII set to be released in Japan March 14th in full top class CGI like the Spirits Within Movie and with a soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsa, no less. I have no doubt Square has the potential to make a sucess of this movie but you really have to wonder will they? Personally, I think they will. Over the months theyve been growing more and more confident in this project (still shook up from the Spirits within flop if you ask me), The movie time has been getting longer and longer and more characters from the original party werent long being added to the cast.
The story takes place two years after VII. The planet has become peaceful. A diesease named Geo-stigma has become rampant and is particularly contagious to children. Cloud is running a package delivery service with Tifa in Midgar. They are taking in orphans. The original team has gone its seperate ways since the VII events. Cloud is hired to investigate three mysterious men all bearing a striking resemblance tp Sephiroth named Yazoo, Loz and theyre leader kadaj.
The CGI is extremely impressive and realistic but not as realistic as FF:Spirits Within. I certainly couldnt blame them for this, Theyve managed to make the movie extremely life like but still keep them as the original characters from the game. No easy task. But theres not much doubt on the CGI being brilliant, moving on...
The Soundtrack is composed by Nobuo Uematsa so Im honestly expecting it to be at the worst, very good. Its his his first attempt at a movie soundtrack and hes certainly put a lot of thought into what will suit it as a movie and not a game. The trailers have so far only shown an epic orchestrated version of the classic FFVII piece, One winged Angel and a piece of the main theme from the piano tracks. A special preview of the soundtrack was heard as part of Nobuos Dear friends concert currently touring the U.S.A. Not much information has been given on the piece (as most of the audience were glued to the screen showing clips of the movie) but it has been described as "looking back on the events of VII". Nobuo is planning what he described a more rocky soundtrack but with a fll reorchestration of one of the original tracks. This is probably One winged angel but its been pointed out that many pieces of music used in previews arent used in actual movies or games.
The voices are currently in japanese and wether they'll be dubbed is not yet known though it is possible. I think there will be English voice actors since the second trailer was released with an english narrarator. This says to me theyre keeping an audience across seas in mind. VII is seen as the first FF to have large sucess in America and Europe after all. The Japanese voices have gone down well and kept in character so far.
:chop: Theres alot of action in the movie and alot of the added time is supposedly added and lengthened battle scenes. The fighting is unrealistic but thats pretty intentional as its keeping close to the original game. Often imprssive to look at and sometimes just downright cool. The only part of the fights I found an odd trailer scene too unrealistic. Example, Tifa took on Loz in an admittedly awe inspiring fight. At one point he caught both her hands and as they held each others hands he swung her around then threw her across the room into the wall where she landed with an impact sending flower petals into the air and continued to stand on the wall. Now the wall walking was shown pretty artistically and I was impressed but the only part I really didnt like was how she got up there in the first place. It reminded me of 50's night on an episode of the simpsons  . But overall the action is so far impressive to look at and I certainly cant name any CGI movie to take real advantage of action in that manner. It should be a real treat.
All in all if you enjoy Final Fantasy, CGI, Good characters, Fantasy action or promising storylines (SPOILER)(an unexpected revival, and what one of the creators has called a significant death)you should definitely take the time to see this. :moose:  :moomba: :ty: :mog:

I don't think the question was a fair one. How can you write a REview of it...sorry I dont mean to be nitpicky. I just dont think the question was fair. :(
It's a fictional review - in other words, you're writing it pretending it's been released and you've seen the whole thing, or something. We asked EB after C_S got a bit confused by his question. :)
Oh...ok I didnt know that. I wouldnt have written what I had if I'd known. I guess I should have just asked for clarification. Oh well.
Don't worry. I actually answered the questions they gave me. I've shamed the face of my Unne.
I wrote my review by what was already known about the movie. I dont think Id have written it much differently if I had seen it.
WHOOPIE! Way to go boris no no!!! That was easily the most informative answer in the FFIX category. *hugs and runs away* Yay!!! FP3!!!!!!!!!! (Fluffy Pink Party Power!)
I couldn't bring myself to read Destai's answer. It was too long. I'm lazy.
Actually, Destai's answer was quite good ^_^
Yay! Destai, yay! Ace!
I read "FF7" when EB posted, and I got excited. Then I read the "DOC" after it, and my excitement waned. Then I scanned over Destai's review, and I was quite happy; it was really very good.
Good job, everyone.
Thanks you guys but I really did over do it on a movie thats not even out yet ^^. Ive broken the review up in catagories but didnt think to labell them. You can probably tell by the first line of each paragraph.
First big paragraph is looking at FFVII
2nd is Summarizing what is AC
3rd is Ac's story
4th is CGI
5th is Music
6th is Action
If I wasnt so tired after writing it Id have put ratings and labels on them but what ya gonna do :rolleyes2

I love being confusing :D Ok, next up is Final Fantasy 7:
Dr.K (representing the BAotW party):Quote:
Summarize the events of the four possible Gold Saucer dates (Aeris, Tifa, Yuffie, Barrett). Explain which is your favorite and why.
In order to enable Cloud to date a certain character, it is required that he be civil to only that character, and that he treats all other characters as if they were leftover sushi left outside to cook in the sun. For Yuffie, it is required you complete both Wutai side quests as well as this. For Barrett, well...if you're that desperate, try and find out :)
Aeris: - Aeris and Cloud take a trip on a gold saucer ride, where Aeris gives him a psychological going over. "I'm searching for you Cloud", she exclaims, intrigued, and tries to get inside his head. He has none of it, but still, she doesn't get the hint, and in the end, the date fails, as Aeris is still alive and, even worse, still able to unleash her relentless drivel on the world.
Yuffie: - Cloud and Yuffie go to the hidden Gold Saucer McDonalds, and upon arrival, Yuffie complains at the lack of contemporary cutlery. Cloud, thankfully a master of metallic origami, moulds her 4-point shuriken into a full dinner set, showing he too can "do the ninja thang". He then orders her a fillet o' fish, telling her "It's like sushi, but cooked", at which Yuffie chortles, exclaims her secret love for Barry Manilow, and tells Cloud he is the "biggest twonking laugh since Des O' Connor was on the radio".
Tifa: - Tifa suggests her and Cloud "do something naughty", at which Cloud suggests a game of hide and seek. Tifa then retracts, telling Cloud she was thinking of something "slightly less physical". Cloud then suggests they sneak into the battle square to investigate "where in the golly gosh that unending supply of monsters comes from". Their sneaking in is successful, however, when Tifa mentions that stuffed crust "pwns so much more than deep pan base at pizza hut", Cloud is whipped into a frenzy, and pushes Tifa down the large staircase, telling her she will "feel the wrath of Colonel Sanders eventually". Poor guy.
Barrett - Strangely, for this date, a large 'CENSORED' appeared on my screen for 10 minutes, after which Barrett concludes to Cloud, "yep - my systolic hypertension is really just psychological after all - thanks dude!". And they told me the Luxembourgian directors cut had BONUS material. *Sigh*
My favourite would probably be Aeris' date, as that's the only one which involved a ride :)
Mindflare (representing the #eoff party):
In my 4 trips through FF7, I have always favored Aeris over Tifa, Yuffie, and Barret. Therefore, I've only ever went on the date with Aeris. On that date, Cloud and Aeris go on the gondola, and participate in a short play, where Alfred (Cloud) saves the princess (Aeris) from the Evil Dragon King, or some sort like that. This play holds a good bit of foreshadowing in it. Fun to watch, and decide how things work out.
Jojo (representing the Fluffy Pink party):
The events don't matter, the people matter.

Aeris is pink.
http://tifa.net/cabu/fp/tifa.jpg
Tifa is fluffy.
http://tifa.net/cabu/fp/yuffiez.jpg
Yuffie = that's illegal! = Kishi.
http://tifa.net/cabu/fp/barret.jpg
Barret = ow, ow, baby! Plus he has a big gun ^_^
http://tifa.net/cabu/fp/cloudz.jpg
Cloud could look like this... ie, hot :) Too bad he wasn't in the game.
So why do all the dates have to involve Cloud? :| My favorite Gold Saucer date is Tifa x Aeris, because they are hot and because they are Fluffy x Pink = Fluffy Pink party. We will make your wildest dreams come true.
PS. But if I had to pick one involving Cloud, I would pick the date with Yuffie, because I like illegal stuff and Kishi's pretty cool too. ^_^
PenguinsAttack! (representing the Elitist party):
Aeris dies at the end.
Tifa gets a breast reduction and a loud prepubescent groan is heard around the world.
Yuffie steals all your materia.
Barret comes out of the closet, touches Cloud's no-no area, and the rest is history.
My favorite is the Aeris date.
SePhO_zO (representing the Ace party):
Witnessing all four Gold Saucer dates is a task that requires playing through the game multiple times and employing precise decision making, and is something that very few fans can say they've accomplished.
I am… not one of those fans.
BUT, with the help of ePSXe and an MCR file I ripped off of some random website, I am here to ensure that no one ever has to endure this painstaking exercise EVER again. Here is a brief, yet fulfilling, summary of the four Gold Saucer dates so that you don't have to bother with such nonsense. I'm such a helpful guy:
Tifa
The Aeris and Tifa dates are easily the most common. If you've seen neither, you're either playing the wrong game, or your dialog choices somehow reflect your secret, homoerotic fantasies about large, black men or the time you spend daydreaming about Japanese school girls (both of which are understandable, the latter more so). Tifa's date goes a little something like this:
Cloud is practicing his "Indifferent face" when Tifa inconsiderately barges into his room and asks to go for a little walk. The twosome end up going to the Event Square where, suprise, they've won some sort of door prize competition (because they're the main characters and the 99 previous couples were NPCs), and are asked to star in a play. Tifa could not fit into her costume because of issues with certain features of her body, so she winged it in the ol' suspenders and white tank top getup. Cloud is having an equally tough time trying to tackle lines that required him to employ emotion and put emphasis on certain words and syllables. Needless to say, any applause they receive is only out of charity and sympathy.
Following their attempts at winning on Oscar, they shuttle off to the Round Square and take a ride on the gondola. Reminiscing about the old days in Nibelheim ensues, and Tifa may or may not express her feelings towards Cloud. Frankly, I don't remember. I do, however, remember that Cloud appeared to be too deep in thought to possibly have heard a single word that Tifa says. My interpretation is that Cloud is trying to remember whether he was running low on Aquanet©. Whatever the case, the conclusion is that Cloud has his head too far up his own arse to pay any attention to what Tifa has to say.
Aeris
Cloud has not yet gone to sleep because he has come to the conclusion that sleeping is neither "cool" or "cold". Instead, he's wide awake, pondering whether he wants his Ultima Weapon in Ebony or Blue Velvet, so he's not startled when Aeris walks in and reminds him that she owes him a date. He's suprised, not because he didn't think she'd actually hold to their bargain, but because he wasn't paying attention to her when she made the promise and now has no idea what she's talking about. He wants to show off his new vest anyway, so he goes along with it.
They find themselves at the Event Square before too long, and alas, they're in the play. Cloud swears he had to go through this crap with Tifa on the first playthrough, but he keeps this remark to himself. He suffers through the play, and is relieved when Aeris drags him on a gondola ride, because it gives him a chance to brood. During the ride, Aeris jokes around with Cloud a little bit, but we witness no response from Cloud. This is either because he can't comprehend what exactly a "joke" is, or because he has his head stuck too far up his own arse to realise that there's another person in the gondola with him.
Yuffie
I simply cannot describe, with mere words, the profound emotional depth of the beginning scene of this particular date, but I will try my best to elaborate:
Yuffie comes in, says "Hey Cloud, how about you keep me company?" or something or other. To this, Cloud replies with a heartfelt "Sure". And thus, the fairy tale date begins. To be completely honest, I'm not sure if Cloud even agreed to such a date, but Yuffie is alone, and she's not having it.
At this point, I'm certain that Yuffie has materia on the brain. Why have I come to this conclusion? Because she's Yuffie, and she's awake (which clearly means that she's not sleeping). What does this have to do with the date, you ask? Why nothing, silly! But it's not as if Cloud doesn't have his head too far up his own arse to realise it anyway. Whether she steals every piece of materia in his possession or plants a big, sloppy, wet one on his left cheek (SPOILER!), he's got more important things to worry about. Like making sure his new Oakleys have arrived on time, and whether or not a goatee would further contribute to his badassitude.
Barret
Cloud is in the middle of writing a letter to Rufus Shinra, commenting him on his overcoat but recommending that he should have chosen a darker color (say, "Midnight Blue," or "Deep Crimson" - preferably the former, but take your pick), when Barret interrupts with a knock on the door. Cloud probably would be taken aback at the scene of a seemingly closet homosexual version of Barret asking him on a date, but, you guessed it, he has his head stuck much, much too far up his own arse to discern that Barret is gay. Or that he's black. Or that he has a freaking gun for a right hand. Or that he's standing right next to him, for that matter.
Cloud leaves the hotel with Barret, not because he thinks he's on a date, but because he believes he's on a mission and that he's going to get a considerable amount of Gil for it. He'll spend that money on a new pair of boots, no doubt. Cloud and Barret enter the familiar Event Square, but leave almost as fast when the doorperson fails to recognize them as a couple. Dio, CEO of Gold Saucer Inc., is clearly a homophobe of the highest degree, and only hires employees that are equally as homophobic. Somehow, though, the employee running the gondola at the Round Square seemingly got past his radar - he lets Cloud and Barret ride for free.
During the ride, it becomes evident that Barret is having second thoughts about whether he is fully comfortable with his own sexuality. He even takes it on Cloud by asking Cloud how he dragged him into this gondola thing. I would feel sorry for Cloud at this point, for the abuse he has to absorb, but he isn't paying attention anyway. Around the time that Barret is screaming obscenities at him, Cloud is just noticing that a certain part of the Gold Saucer holds a striking resemblance to a great, big Gil coin.
To sum it up, the dates accomplish absolutely notta.
Hotshotsguy (representing the Anti-Eoff party):
EoFF sucks!
go jojo!
whoooooo!
Nice work SepohO z0. :D Made me laugh.
SePhO_zO is by far the funniest! :D
xD @ Dr K's answer.
Possibly one of the best answer so far. :) But SePhO's answer made me laugh hard too, especially:Quote:
Barrett - Strangely, for this date, a large 'CENSORED' appeared on my screen for 10 minutes, after which Barrett concludes to Cloud, "yep - my systolic hypertension is really just psychological after all - thanks dude!". And they told me the Luxembourgian directors cut had BONUS material. *Sigh*
http://www.digitalfault.com/p2/FEB%2...ONS/barret.gif
These answers are all pretty good.
Funny answers all around. Good job, guys.
Dr. K and Sepho (as he said he loves to be called) were great there. Jojo was absolutely terrible. What the HELL was her answer all about? Very sucky indeed.
Also I liked amra's review as it wasn't boring. :)
I want those pictures in Spoiler tags. Now.
I've never gotten either the Aeris or Tifa dates. there must be something wrong with me? :\
Don't feel bad, I don't think I'm even close to that part in FF7 yet. xD
Ok, now let's move to the most important forum in all of EoFF, the one filled with the best of the best threads: General Archive! Now reading the archive cna be a daunting task, so our candidates have provided a list to make your searching easier:
Psychotic (representing the BAotW party):Quote:
What are the five greatest threads in the General Archive? Provide links to each and a short discussion of what makes each thread so great.
Thread #1 is named Without Spam - The greatest song parody ever (self-proclaimed) and was written by some fellow named Del Murder.
This thread reveals the not often discussed romance between Del and Kishi. "Screw you kishi" is my favourite quote from this love ballad. He means this in a literal sense. It's cute to think about, isn't it? Awww, my ickle Dellie-pie with my baby Kishi-poo! Oh right, humour. Here, catch:
TROUT! (Man, that cracks me up every time! :))
Thread #2 is entitled Grrrrrr and the artist responsible for its creation is Free Spirit.
Fear bubbled out over the land of memories like an evil broth filled with despair. Free Spirit's mighty warriors had suddenly come up against a creature who had sprang forth out of the shadows of the past, who was previously thought only to be a legend: That snake chick. That snake chick broke upon her characters like an furious storm, and all hope had appeared to have faded, when out of the twilight a voice, quiet and yet clear, could be heard like a distant memory. It was the words of Kurohime "supposedly she's weak against water and ice, but I'm usually high on Bahamut" with these words, Free Spirit's vigour was renewed, and she and her honourable warriors smote that snake chick down. After the chaos had died down, Free Spirit stood over the fallen body of her opponent, and a mighty roar was heard: "I finally beat the friggin snake for once!"
I have been informed that thread #3 goes under the name of Partners, courtesy of President of the Richard Nixon Appreciation Society, yun.
I have a confession to make. I'm only putting this here because I want to respond to yun's offer. YUN! YUN! WHERE ARE YOU? I WILL BE YOUR WIFE AND TOGETHER WE SHALL WAGE WAR UPON THE NATION OF ARMENIA! Oh yun! How dearly I love thee...
#4 is a delightful little ditty, I like to call it RM2K thread *@______@* , made by that Finnish imp, Miktzsrstususuyuussu!
This thread contains the very SECRETS of the universe! Screen Pans are in fact, POSSIBLE! You may have heard otherwise from lesser mortals, but Spaceman Spiff quells all rumours to the contary! However, Spiff does let himself down on Page 2 by breaking EoFF Rule number 6: Member moderation. Alas, alas that such an evil rule-breaking fate has befallen one so mighty! Another thing this thread is is a shining beacon of glittering hope: The holy grail exists! Our dearly departed friend, HOOTERS, was making a game! I demand that a quest set forth immediately to recover it!
Last, and probably least, is #5, What if...#1 brought to you by the number 8, and the letter L. Oh and Citizen Bleys, whoever THAT is...
OOC: I only picked this 'cause it's got ooc tags and they make me SO horny. Oh, and this quote: "Yes Tidwell?" Oh Tidwell. Tidwell Tidwell Tidwell. Will you ever learn?
Lord Krang (representing the #eoff party):
Here goes:
Aw, man - Cause it's Important.
RSL Avatars - Cause RSL is cool.
Mad as a bug? - Cause I didn't know bugs could get mad.
Kishi Appreciation - Because kishi is cool.
Bleys stuff - Cause Bleys has a funny voice.
Lady Fidela of Confide (representing the Fluffy Pink party):
Ok, here are my threads.sorry it took so long, college steals all my time. my apologies again if the links don't work, it's not the sort of thing i do on a regular basis.
thread 1
Creepy/weird postcards.
http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9957
Ooh, a mystery...and the thread goes on until the two practical jokers reveal themselves. everybody loves a good mystery, right? And this thread is also one of the reasons you should never give your homeaddress to someone you meet on the net. Great joke though, kudos to Sakura Yume and Calliope on a well thought out and executed plan.
thread 2
EoFF is, apparently, something awful.
http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45426
well, i read the article linked to this thread made by the something awful people...and it made me laugh, but at the same time, disgusted me, especially when they insulted people's poetry and writing. But the eyesonff thread outshone that article in terms of humour, and it was an insightful glimpse into how people deal with being insulted.
and now, a quote from Loony BoB
"Actually, although they might laugh at us (hey, we are too) - from the few people I've chatted to (from SA) about this, they actually think we're pretty cool for how we reacted. They're used to people being heartbroken about it, so when people like us are laid back enough to show some humility and laugh with them, they think it's neat. Well, just from the people who have chatted to me, anyway."
See, we're great here, really.
thread 3
The eyes on final fantasy prom.Closed
http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21000
A prom. A Roleplay, and oh so funny! well, it's just so different from the other posts. has everything a real prom would have, food, music, dancing, without the mess, yay.
thread 4
THE GR8EST SPAM THRED EVER
http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36562
really hilarious thread, contains loads of random posts, which made it very amusing.
thread 5
The all new photo thread of doom
http://www.eyesonff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36900
i like this because - it had pictures! and it was nice to see pictures of the people themselves, and it made a change from reading, yay, pictures!
6 well, officially this wasn't necessary, but i thought the world of Eizon deserved a mention, but since that was made up of hundreds of threads it was impossible to pick just one. Eizon, for me, was a great experience and a lot of fun, that i won't be forgetting anytime soon.
Super Christ (representing the Ace party):
Partners
Just read the thread.
Seriously, any discussion as to why the thread is so great would be longer than the thread itself.
The cids knights are like shinra
This is a great thread, not only because the person was trying to flame the Cids Knights and not doing a good job at it, but RSL's reply was great; Psychotic's and Del Murder's replies were cool as well.
Without Spam - The greatest song parody ever (self-proclaimed)
The thread title for this is correct - it was the only thing that could make *me* download an eminem song, and it really is just a funny song.
A little declaration of war
This is one of the greater threads in the General Archive because it really is a great example of how a lot of people feel about this place. It's wanting to belong to things like this that gets many people to stick around.
4036 Reasons To Praise Dr Unne and Drink Bacardi
This is the second best wild spam thread ever, I'd say. The best being the original "100 Reasons to Hate Dr. Unne" thread. In my opinion.
I was also tempted to nominate Ok im mad as a bug!, but nah, those are my five nominations for best thread in the General Archive.
Maybe S-E should actually DO something about it rather than creating a game environment conducive to gilsellers and that lets them ruin the game experience for others. Not that I care, because hey, the worse S-E does, the more people join me on the vastly superior WoW. :)Quote:

the fact that the pink party actually found a barrett cosplay done by an actual black person should guarantee a win right away.
I can't wait until these elections are done so we can start next years.
Thinking about next year's already? That's insane. Let's get through this one first.
at this rate these will still be going when next year's start. Let's do another forum: Kingdon Hearts:
to clarify, I was looking for characters that are playable in any Final Fantasy game that make any sort of appearance at all in one of the kingdom Hearts games. Here's our responses:Quote:
Name every Final Fantasy playable character that makes an appearance in the KH series. At least name as many as you can.
Ansem (representing the BAotW party):
There are no playable FF characters in Kingdom Hearts. The FF characters are NPCs. Those characters are: Leon/Squall, Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, Cloud, Sephiroth, Selphie, Tidus and Wakka.
WarZidane (representing the #eoff party):
Selphie, Wakka, Squall, Yuffie, Aeris, Cloud, Sephiroth, Auron (in KH2) and Tidus (Tea-dus? What were they smoking when they made Wakka pronounce Tidus that way?)
Remember, all those who vote me get pie. :greenie:
The Summoner of Leviathan (representing the Fluffy Pink party):

Final Fantasy FF7 - Fantasy Dating!______________________________________________http://usera.imagecave.com/Fuzakeru/Dating.bmp.jpg
-=Vincent, the secks-tacular vampire, wields his big gun as he saunters down endless mazes shooting down all that . . . don't want to date him? FF7: Dirge of Cerberus should be turned in to a Sim dating game. Why is this you ask? Because we all know that Final Fantasy characters are sexy and horribly placed sequels and spin-offs are equally /or even more so sexy. Besides, we all know more people would buy it if it were a Sim dating game. You know you'd buy it.=-
DoomAntenna (representing the #eoff party):
From the screenshots, it looks like it definitely won't be like the usual Final Fantasy RPG. It looks kind of like Devil May Cry, but I'm hoping it will have more of a storyline to it. So I guess I hope it'll be an action-RPG of sorts, with a great story and an entertaining battle system. It will be a good game because of the story they will put to it and because it's focused on Vincent, who was a pretty neat character, despite the fact that I never got that waterfall subquest to work. :)
Streetspirit (representing the Fluffy Pink party):
I hope Square Enix decides to re-release Rad Racer and just package it as FF7: DoC.
Shoden (representing the Ace party):
really i would like it to be both RPG and 1st person shooter it would be a good mixture and maybe a challenge and change from the old ATB battle and more similar to the Kingdom Hearts Battle system it would be great and give the player a massive bond into the game the world around it and the characters plus it's in 3D
Vincent is a midget in a tux in FF7: DoC. It's true.
Ok, let's do General Gaming. Anyone who hangs out in this forum has to be a master at the old-school masterpiece The Legend of Zelda. Let's see them prove it:

I just found out my girlfriend of three years was born a male and has had gender modification surgeries and treatments. I don't know what to do. Give me advice.
Well it seems to me you have two very exciting options:
1) Accept him for what he is...I mean she is. We're all merely mammals after all.
2) Get out more
I'm go with the latter.
-There's my answer :)
Jebus (representing the #eoff party):
Well, first off, you've been together for three years, you obviously care a great deal about this person. It's true that she never told you about her past in this regard, but considering how long you've been together, you should be able to talk about this.
This matter is really up to you and your girlfriend, but if you ask me, you should let the past be your past and just enjoy yourselves. You've been together that long.
Angel of Light (representing the Fluffy Pink Party):
This one is tough you know.
First two words: Calm down! :whoa:
First you have to think:
1*why did he/she do it
2*what did he/she look like before
3*is what he/she is now better than it was before, 4*and dos he/she know that you know he/she is
Try to find out the first one, but not ask him him/her if he/she don't know that you know. If you must ask, be careful. Then do to the next step(2) and then the third. If he/she is positive looking now and looked like a troll or something before or he looked like a girl(some people is just born in to the wrong bodies you know).
You may consider to end the relationship, but a lot of people has done this kind of thing and for them it's working fine. And if the person is a wonderful eh... "person" and you like him/her very much, GO FOR IT!!!
Giggles (representing the Fabio party):
First, I think you should decide if you're okay with this. If you're okay with their choice. You may love this person, and as hard as it may be, you have to decide if you're willing to be with someone who has not only lied to you all this time (understandibly) but also has had a sex change. You need to take into consideration your feelings for this person. You have a history, and you've been together for quite a while. I don't think that you should break it off because they decided to tell you the truth. Take into consideration everything that's gone on in your relationship, and take into hand their feelings as well. It's going to be a really difficult decision, but also know that your partner isn't a different person than the one you've known for the past three years. They're still the same mentally, emotionally, and even physically (in the time that you've known them). Good luck in making your decision...I hope you can make the one that's right for you and your girlfriend.
Behold the Void (representing the Unne Avatar party):
In response to the question:
The important question here is to examine your true feelings. While this certainly may be considered "the straw that broke the camel's back", it doesn't have to, nor should it be a true factor. A person who has had a gender change operation usually has a good reason for it, and if a person is mentally a female but physically a male, why should we hold it against them and judge them for it?
I admit it may be a bit strange to be dating someone who was once a male, but frankly, I do not see why it should matter. If you do truly love her, (and I am assuming that some feelings are present, as she has been your girlfriend for three years) a thing such as this shouldn't really matter. It might be a different case if she were still a male, that would constitute deception, but in this case, she is truly, physically female, and you should not hold it against her.
Instead of scorning her for it as others might do, I suggest you not allow it to become an issue. This knowledge has changed nothing, she is still the same person you've been dating for the last three years.
Giga Guess (representing the Ace party):
Well, I'm of two minds on this....on one hand, if she didn't trust you enough to tell you earlier, I'd say to break it off, but then....I'd suggest you talk to her, and clear the air...feel it out, and see if you can work this through. I trust you'll make the right decision. Just...if you can't deal with this situation, let her down easy, okay?
>>--heartshot--> ♥ (representing the Anti-EoFF party):
I think this means you're gay now. Nothing can save you. :(
Wow, great job all on the last 4 or so! :D
Those were all good responses, in my opinion, but Giggles gets my vote for having the best one. :)
heartshot has the best :)
I like the BAoTW world one (bias) I mean, it's true. There are more girls out there also.

Obviously the secret to these elections is not take things seriously and give good answers. I'll have to remember that next time.
Well, yeah. But it was EoEo. I don't know how to mess around there without coming off as insulting.
When are we gonna do FFT? I'm getting tired of waiting...
...and Crystal Chronicles... I'm anxiously awaiting.
Josh wins, hands down.
Linus wins posthumously. :(
The next forum up is the Xenogears forum, more popularly known as the General Square Enix forum, or Gen Squeenix for short. My goal in this task was to bring Square and Enix together at last. My secret goal for this task was to have someone mention Rad Racer. Sadly, nobody did, although we still have some great answers:
Ouch! (representing the BAotW party):Quote:
Combine any one Square game with any one Enix game, then write either a poem or a paragraph demonstrating how these two games would be combined.
One Square game and one Enix game, eh? That’s easy, a game combining the characters from Final Fantasy VII and, say, Dragon Quest IV. But you’d need some kind of twist to hook the consumer, right? So why don’t they make it a board game? Like some kind of Mario Party rip-off with some important characters from FFVII, like Cloud, Aeris and Tifa, and some characters from DQIV, like Ragnar, Healie and Alena. The point of the game would be to make money by selling other players your items when they stop at your store, or something like that. You could throw in a bunch of mini-games in it too, like betting on chocobo races FFVII style. Wait, what’s that? They’ve already come up with that? Well shucks, I tried.
Del Snizz (representing the #eoff party):
(I humbly submit my response for the fulfillment of my duty and, as always, for the edification of the people. I know that this text appears to be in contravention of the assigned task, seeming to be divided into multiple paragraphs in order to accommodate its nearly one thousand words, but I assure you that it is indeed a poem and therefore not subject to any restrictions of length or formatting.)
My first instinct when I saw the prompt for this forum was to respond with the question “would anyone really notice?”, but having never, to my recollection, actually used any of either company’s products, I decided that my visceral impression was potentially misguided. I therefore committed myself to conducting an appropriate amount of research in order to determine whether, as was my suspicion, the plots of the games indeed formed a dull mass of interchangeable banalities, or if the respective corpora of the two companies each had distinct merits of their own.
Unfortunately, my regular research assistant was feeling absolutely drained from the previous day’s work, and not having another bottle on hand, I abandoned that plan and decided to announce that you could all kindly go to hell. My political handlers, however, counseled against such an action and advised me instead to—how do I say this delicately?—shamelessly pander to the degenerate tastes of the plebeian hordes. So, after contemplating the essential qualities of the games in question, which I identified to be simple repetitive tasks, tired composite genre fiction, and a healthy dose of meaningless statistics, I came to the realization that the conditions were ideal for a bureaucratic setting, and instead of merely combining two games published by two different companies, the game could be about their corporate merger itself. For the skeptics among you, I will proceed to demonstrate the practicability of this idea, showing that the game would almost write itself.
Take, for instance, the dialect of bureaucratese spoken in most large corporations. This jargon has a lot in common with the standard-issue nonce-vocabulary of arcane magic spells and fantastic technology that is invariably found in games, and we can simply scour memos and transcripts of meetings to find names for all the techniques. After all, what opponent would not tremble (assuming that bits of code and pixels were capable of such a thing) when you pressed the button to ‘leverage’ your character’s ‘synergy’?
Now, the conventional logic would hold that we should have to make a few changes to the principal corporate characters (“empowered human resources” in game terms), so as to give the players the impression that they are not simply the redundant mechanisms within the great engine of industrial monasticism that they must by necessity be, but I would argue that we should instead endeavor to fully exercise our opportunity to make this sort of existence appealing through the behavioral conditioning that follows from its association with games. The successful execution of this strategy would mean that the young players will begin to accept and look forward to their inevitable destiny well before they are deemed fit to become one with the economy.
But it need not end with a simple propaganda campaign to increase the adaptability and value of future resources. No, we must devise entirely new strategies against which our competitors will be unprepared (“use elixir of ‘outside-the-box thinking’” in game terms). In the past, the relationship between the publisher and the player was defined almost entirely in terms of the moment of purchase; immediately after the transaction took place, the status of the player dropped from the soaring heights of consumerdom to the level of the leech, whose potential utility is diminished by the advertising resources he consumes without the promise of compensation. This situation clearly puts us at a disadvantage against the foul tyranny of the common man, but with fortune and virtue on our side, we can make these new games reach their true potential and change the nature of business forever (“cast ‘paradigm shift’” in game terms)! The first game in the series, as I have discussed, will be very much like traditional games, but it will mark the beginning of a new era all the same. Through subtle manipulation of the players’ young minds, the early games will stimulate the perpetual consumption of their sequels. With the advance of technology, these programs will become more sophisticated and more addictive, and their focus will begin to change. No more will the repetitive button-pushing of the games affect only an imaginary software world, but the power of millions of young players responding to simple stimuli from a glowing screen for hours on end will be harnessed and used to run my factories and offices. Just imagine it: an entire generation whose purpose in life is to consume and use my products, all the while unwittingly toiling away to fuel their compulsions and infinitely increase my riches and my power! It will be a glorious day when I can outsource all my labor costs to the consumers themselves and have an army stretching to all corners of the globe at my very fingertips! Oh, yes, the possibilities are as endless as the cycle of total servitude that will emerge from the humble seeds of a common video game. I call my grand project “serfing the net”.
[Bond: You’re a madman, Snizz. You’ll never get away with it.]
Yes, yes, we all know what you think, Mr. Bond. And I should say that you are hardly in a position to lecture me. As soon as the eclipse is complete, that conspicuous clock platform you and the lovely Dr. Schpretweid are suspended from will become a most undesirable piece of real estate indeed, as the missiles begin to launch around you and it collapses into the natural acid spring and hornet sanctuary below. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a children’s hospital to dedicate.

E.V.O. and Final Fantasy I. Here's the review on GameFAQS:
E.V.O.: The Search for Unne - 10/10
This is a great game! You start as a little orange fish (called a "Carpie") and evolve until you learn the Lefein language and everyone knows you. You eat Black Belts to replenish your health, because they are weak and helpless.
GRAPHICS: 10/10!
This game has the most beautiful sprites ever! No 3D anywhere! I hate 3D. A polygon killed my father :(
SOUND: 10/10!
Great music, too! Almost orchestra-like bleeps and bloops! The sound effect of the Unne-a-saur stomping the BB fans is CLASSIC you should download it.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10!
The controls are very tight, you have just the right amount of MP (9!), and it's very challenging! Good learning curve though, it starts you on weak creatures like BB Fish and Walruses, but at the end there's like... Ninja WarMechs! There should be at least, but I don't know because this game was too hard for me and I couldn't get past the Lichaphibian.
OVERALL: 59/10! But GameFAQS won't let me a$$hols omg :( so 10/10!
Srisly though this is the best game I've ever played! Don't let those idiots on the board with their threads like "Who would win: Dr Unne or Cloud?" and "dr_unne_is_gay" and "y dosn't this gaem have sepritoh!?" dissuade you, this really is a great Square-Enix game!
RENT/BUY: Definitely buy, or like 90 ninjas will beat you!

ChronoEvo - A Poem of the Ages
Behold the spikey haired one
His weapon glistening in the sun
But wait! What is this?
Six and a half million years prior
Long before the two-legged mammal
The time stream evolves you!
Look upon your new form
The fish jump but no air comes
Until the Lavos arrives!
Spined fiend, the most advanced
Foward you shall march into time
The crystal shall aid you!
The time stream evolves you!
Look upon your new form
Now we are in the time of magic
So many a floating fortress
Bird men! Flying Mages!
Struck down they all are by your feathered arm
Fall, fall my friends to the earth with me
The time stream evolves you!
Look upon your new form
In the land of the middle
There is a war to be waged
Gather your new rodent body
Take the bridge, Climb the mountain!
Two shall be one trusted with the devolved
The time stream evolves you!
Look upon your new form
Upright you are in the time that is now
Past and future shall converge on the fair
So much is there to be gained
Yet so much is there to be lost
Gather your arms, much is to be done
The time stream evolves you!
Look upon your new form
Darkness shrouds all in the future
See now as you are struck down and born again
High atop the mountain where the Lavos rules
The mechanical men and twisted forms attack!
Run, run, back to the past where the omen lies!
The time stream evolves you!
Look upon your new form
The end is upon us now
Look what evolution produces
Two arms, one body, one purpose
Destroy it, or time shall be destroyed in its wake
Converge through time, evolution turns back and forth
The time stream evolves you!
Shed your old form

Snizz's reply is about 900 words too long for me to read right now, so therefore I have no opinion about it. :\
Once again I look toward the candidates for advice. This time for the FF: Crystal Chronicles forum.
Stupid Moomba 88 (representing the BAotW party):Quote:
I have been considering purchasing a GameCube. If so I would probably buy Crystal Chronicles. Please describe what makes this game unique, entertaining, and challenging. Do you think I would be pleased with my purchase?
To be honest, I'm not sure Election Booth if you would be pleased with your purchase because, (let's face it) people are hard to judge. I HOPE you would be, because I certainly enjoyed FF:CC. But, I'll tell you some stuff and perhaps suggest you should check it out.
Righty, if you wanted FF:CC. You'd look for this and then you'd put it in your Gamecube. This is all part of the whole experience I feel. Firstly, the presentation of the game is suburb. Square Enox really went to town, with clearly defined attributes and skills. I feel this is very importanty because Square Enix have strayed from the typical FF formula somewhat, and when I first started playing (I expect like you) I was scared. Scared I wouldn't understand it and it perplexed me. However, it eased me in quite well, with the very beggining itself offering replay value. It doesn't make you work too hard originally for playing, it allows you to take it at your own pace, and I found it quite relaxing. This is to not say it's easy. I'm saying that it doesn't overwhelm you with too many options, and allows you to experience the multitdude of skills when you're ready.
For a start, this meant I wasn't spoon-fed. There is nothing I hate more when a game gives you a small does of the experience, and decides for yourself, when you're ready for the more difficult stages. At the beggining, if you wanted, you could develop your armour, search for secrets and all that. You don't have to mind, and it certainly won't dullen your experience if you don't, but the option in there.
Another difference is that a story runs beside your main task, and that is to collect Mryuhh. Hence, the levels you visit to collect it are based around a element and thus, it guides you through the game my restricting you passage, but not in a way that seems illogocial or story-led. It feels like a fantasy world, and you really are doing the task. You're not just a role, you ARE A person. I found this more entertaining then any other aspect of the game.
More importantly, i won't reveal too much, because most of the entertainment is from surprise. No one likes a film better if someone already told them the end, it's better to discover it yourself. But, some of my friends hated it and thus i suggest you should rent it first, before buying it, because perhaps you might enjoy it more knowing that you're not stuck with it. I loved it, but money sometimes makes you want to enjoy it more.

The Return of a Legend
Ever since the dawn of the series the quality of the product has always been of a high standard.
The light of a new shine was casted onto the the Nintendo Game cube.
Final Fantasy had finally returned to its origin.
Despite of the hype the game failed to make the return everybody had hoped for, nonetheless its return to the Nintendo Game cube was nonetheless an historical event.
"In the wee small hours of the morning I saw a distant light, the shinning of the light was a distant memory of a past long since gone... the fragile memory, a time of heroes and fiends, a time that bears the memory of redemption... I remember... it's finally returned... Final Fantasy"
Come to think of it; was the game really that bad? No! Not in my opinion.
It has the look, the challenge and most of all the nostalgic feeling to it.
Too many times I've wondered why people dislike it so much.
In my opinion "Crystal Chronicles" is a welcoming change and definitely a game worthy of purchase
... After all who could resist a trip down memory lane?
"The memory tells of a time of legendary heroes, a time where good and evil fought the battle of dawn, a time where even the bravest heart could be deceived... a time long since gone, the time of heroes, a time that many seems to have forgotten"
I tell you of a story, a story of bravery and stout hearted heroes.
Remember the time where heroes were made of everything but fiction? I tell you of a... it's of no use, many seems to have forgotten that Fantasy is all about heroes, princesses and fiends... For years we've been enslaved in endless tales of wars and future events... finally the true colors of Enix is showing, once a gain.
I recommend it to everybody who feels that they've been robbed of fantasy.
I recommend it to everybody who seeks a simple, yet ancient adventure.
Dragonfire (representing the Ace party):
FIrst thing I like about CC is that it has a multiplayer mode. Even though all the players need a GBA to do so, it's still very cool. Multiplayer is very fun. If you have one or two friends that have GBA you will have a blast playing it. When you start you get to nicely
customize your character. The battle system is unlike any FF before it. Not based off of menus, it's active. Teammates can cast spells together to make them more powerful or even create new ones. The game system really encourages teamwork. Unlike previous FFs that you can just make a single powerhouse and just have the others be there for support. The game has well rendered enemies. If you like dungeon crawling games this game is definitely for you. This isn't an RPG like the rest of the FFs are, it's a hack and slash game, it can give you hours of entertainment playing it without getting bored, like most people do in previous games In my opinion this FF should be in every FF fanatics collection. Unlike most of the previous side-series FFs (ex: FF Adventure, FF Mystic Quest, etc.) this one is actually worth playing.

Misfit (representing the BAotW party):
(You spelled "Beoulve" wrong, lololol) Beoulve family is a well respected family, producing many leaders for the Hokuten Knights. (Heh heh...)
Let's see, there's this Ramza guy. He's pretty insecure about stuff, I don't think he got enough attention as a child.
Then there's this Alma girl, she came from a
different mother than the second brother. And she does drugs. Seriously.
Annnnnnnd there's Zalbag, (Hahah "Zalbag"), an undefeated warrior and a leader of the Hokuten Knights. He's considered holy. Oh, and "a
savior of Ivalice in Gallione." And probably other stuff.
Dycedarg~ haha, who comes up with these names? Anyways, he's really old. And since he's old, he smells. And that's all you need to know.
Balbanes; Former leader of the Hokuten Knights, and achieved the rank of "Heavenly Knight". Then he died.
Smelly Eleni-- This person has a split personality, kills small children, and eats frogs. While they are alive. They get along well with Alma, maybe 'cause they share drugs together, but I dunno. And that's all that I got.
enano (representing the #eoff party):
Balbanes - "Former leader of the Hokuten Knights, and achieved the rank of 'Heavenly Knight.' While other Knights were being defeated, he produced many victories, even when he was outnumbered. A treaty was reached because of the fear he struck into the hearts of the enemies. Poisoned and killed in the latter parts of the war.
Dycedarg - "One of the troop leader[s] under Prince Larg. Your oldest brother. Following his late father, Balbanes' wishes, gave up his position as the leader of the Hokuten Knights to his younger brother. Became the troop leader for Prince Larg. Assassinated Duke Larg during the attack on Bethal Garrison. Retains power, but is killed in an ambush by Zalbag.
Zalbag - "As a leader of the Hokuten Knights, he is considered a 'Holy Knight.' Your older brother. With many victories in the Fifty Year War, he has been praised by King Denamunda as 'A savior of Ivalice in Gallione. Under the name of Beoulve, there is victory.' Fights you as a servant of Lucavi, but is defeated."
Ramza - "Youngest of the respected Beoulve family. He fights his brothers, finding out that they are engaging a war for their own well-being. Finds out about the greed by the Church of Glabados and about Lucavi using the church. He fights for justice of others."
Alma - "Youngest of four of the Beoulve family. Attends the Aristocratic School in Igros. Your younger sister. With yer cheerful personality, she is well liked by everyone. Spending most of her life in a convent, she hasrecently returned to the Beoulve family. Alma is closer to you, as you are closer in age, than her brothers"
Steve - "The bastard son of Balbanes, during the Lion war he spent his days as a drunken slob. His personality is quite shallow, and he tends to flirt with every girl he meets. He was killed in a pub of Ivalice with a beer in his hand and a grin on his face. Rumor has it his last action was flirting with Agrias."
mschmidtFF (representing the Fluffy Pink party):
The Belouve family history is one filled with lies, secrecy and deceit. Balbanes Belouve, a hero from the 50 year war had 2 wives, neither of which were actually in the story, from which they bore 4 children. From the first they had 2 sons Dycedarg and Zalbag. From his second wife he had a son, Ramza, and a daughter, Alma, who were generally looked down upon from the older brothers. Their family also took in Delita and his sister Teta when their parents died. My creative part: The Belouve grandparents, Leonard and Theresa, are not liked to be talked about. During the 50 year war Leonard was one of the highest ranking Generals but sadly he was shot off his horse by an Archer midway through the war. Many years later, after Ramza was born, Theresa had come out to bring the Ramza and Delita in for dinner. As they ran by they knocked her into the water and she was tragically swept away. This is one of the reasons the older brothers despise their siblings so much. :End creativity. Their family served under Prince Larg. Ramza and Alma are in Garland Magic Academy and they find that their father is dead from mosfungus poisoning. We find that this was Dycedargs doing so he could gain enough power so that he and Zalbag could start another war. Alma and Teta are kidnapped, Alma escapes but Teta is killed by Algus under Zalbags order. Ramza is declared to be a heretic after he kills Cardinal Draclau and also finds the Germonik Scriptures. Vormav had captured Alma when he realizes she is the incarnation of St. Ajora.
Dycedarg kills Larg to gain even higher position while Delita also does away with Goltana. Zalbag realizes Dycedarg killed father so he teams up with Ramza and they attack him. Before he dies the Zodiac stone he received from Rofl and Vormav activates transforming him into a creature. Dycedarg teleports himself and Zalbag away and transforms Zalbag into a zombie like state. Ramza follows them to Murond Holy Place and kills Zalbag by his request. Ramza, having now lost his whole family except Alma who is in serious danger, travels through a portal to the death city in Orbonne Monastery. They confront Vormav and he gives his life to summon St. Ajora who possesses Alma. Alma is set free from her possession when Ajora transforms. They defeat her and the airship they were on explodes and everyone thinks they are dead. Ramza and Alma are later seen by Olan riding chocobos at their grave and are never heard from again.
Skye-chan (representing the Unne Avatar party):
This is a short history of the Beoulve family. Spoilers?
Alma Beoulve
Being the only suitable host body that the Lucavi can use to resurrect St. Ajora, she naturally goes and gets kidnapped and makes Ramza save her.
Balbanes Beoulve
The Beoulves' father. He was an honorable man who fought in the Fifty Year War and had kids with two different women. Then he died.
Dycedarg Beoulve
He did a lot of evil stuff, including poisoning his dad. Then Zalbag and Ramza killed him.
Ramza Beoulve
He's the main character, so he does pretty much everything. Play the game, dorks. >=O
Zalbag Beoulve
The lesser of the two evil brothers. He did some bad stuff, but it was mostly to help Dycedarg. When he found out Dycedarg was evil, he killed him, but not before Dycedarg zombified him first. Then Ramza killed him.
Delita Hyral
(Delita and Teta were adopted by the Beoulves after their parents died, so I think they count as part of the Beoulve family.)
After finding out how the nobles manipulated peasants, he decided to do the manipulating for once. He switched alliances constantly and ended up being the king of Ivalice, thereby stealing Ramza's thunder and being known as the true hero of the Lion War. He married Princess Ovelia, and then he went crazy and stabbed her to death. Ovelia might have stabbed him first, so we don't know if Delita died too. This is one of the great mysteries of the game, next to why doing propositions gives you a "good feeling".
Teta Hyral
She basically just gets herself kidnapped and killed. She's not too important.
And the other family member I have to make up...
Katrina Beoulve

So I can be the best for you
I know all this sounds like empty promises
A internet-friendly politicion like Bush or Blair
But I swear on my mother's life for this
I hope you'll trust your votes with care
For I'm running for this position earnestly
I seriously want to do no wrong
But hey! Lets just have some fun and be happy
And enjoy this place and sing a song
Rye and Psychotic are behind me as well
And I'm sure you've heard of Xander in your day
The Bored Atheists we are and we're wonderful
We were all doing it for Baloki anyway!
I'm the candidate for the Bored Atheists
I feel good about this, as should you too
So please get behind my candidacy, get behind this
So I can enjoy FFXII and EoFF with you
Mirage (representing the #eoff party):
I'm looking forward to XII
Because it will pass the time by
When I have nought better to do
Than play on my ol' PS2
However I need twenty lines
To make this lovely poem legit
According to Election Booth
Four lines will simply not befit
Indeed five four-line verses
Are required to make the cut
Just to allow me to kick
My opponent's poetic butt
For forums and for website
For stats and hats and of course chat
For newbies and oldbies alike
#eoff party is where it's at
So vote for us! For us I say!
Why have it any other way?
For on this year's Election Day
We'll be the one who's here to stay
Mokona (representing the Fluffy Pink party):
I've been waiting...
For a new Final Fantasy game
I'm still waiting...
My hopes are high.
Battles, characters, story...
I want it all.
But Square is changing...
Square-Enix.
Their games are changing too.
But I'm still hoping...
Praying, that FFXII
Will be a good game.
A good Final Fantasy.
But for how long will they make us
wait?
I do not know...
But my hopes are still high,
Even growing higher...
And I'm curious about the new
Battle System.
The random encounters are gone...
Forever?
I do not know...
But I do know one thing,
Final Fantasy
Will always be
The game for me...
Sephiroth1999AD (representing the Ace party):
~ ARISING FANTASY ~
Through eleven worlds we wandered,
Saving crystals, finding Fayth.
Now, at last, a new realm is unfold.
For the third time, never getting old,
The story of Ivalice shall be told.
Soaring is his dream,
To fly through the skies.
An airship, a sky pirate,
What will become of his dreams?
Vaan he is called,
Some call him girly,
But know him, do they really?
A dark hero, a cheerful hero?
Spiky hair, tailed genome, whiny brat?
But while we can only guess,
Truly, what we are all looking for,
A protagonist never seen before.
And what of the heroine?
Be it Penelo, be it Ashe?
A lass who wants peace,
Or a princess, whose face
Reminds us of Yuna's days?
And what of the villain?
A loyal knight, turning into traitor?
Judge, Lucavi, someone never seen?
But we all wish, please be not,
A man with a long, white hair.
Seven active time battles were fought,
"Repetitive!" many of us clearly thought
Something new, interactive struggles
No random combat, bring back classes
Magic and new Summons shall arise!
Through eleven worlds we wandered,
Dragons arising, planets weeping.
Medieval fantasy, futuristic sci-fi.
For the twelfth time, ever just as bold,
Magic returns, the fantasy will be told.
DragonflyLex (representing the Anti-EoFF party):
this poem has
one word for
each post i
have ever made.
Kawaii!!! Mokona's is in pink^_^ Go Pinkers!
Nice one Seph :moomba:
Seph's very well done. I approve. :thumb:
Nothing Snizz ever does is tedious. That's why he's the greatest person alive today. He didn't even have to plan that response. His rhetorical skills are greater than any other person I've ever met. And his was funny, anyway. There's no reason he shouldn't win that topic. And anyway, he can just change the results with his mind if he doesn't win.
Like I told the Booth, I found Snizz's entry a little too highbrow for my tastes, except for the Bond bit at the end. I like the short and sweet approach.
My vote is for Quina. Probably the best forum yet.
I always welcome thoughtful responses to my work, and criticism of its faults is particularly valuable. If you could give me some advice as to how to give the audience a more powerful impression and thus to avoid the problem of posts that are no more than a bit tedious, I would really appreciate it.Quote:

I just hope this doesn't go over like the last time we met...
Still no Feedback? Ah well.
What!? No Del vs Del action. Where is the fun in that?Quote:

I can do nothing but applaud Mirage's poetry as it is clearly the best. :D
Awesome job, Jack. *likes being mentioned* Your poem rocked!
Instead of Del vs Del action, what about Del on Del action? Huh? Huh? :joey:
PS: A winner is Jack.
Go Team! :D I'm liking the results. Oh, and I chatted to Spiffers yesterday, he'll definitely get his entry in, he's workin' on it. :)
On a sidenote, the thought of both Del and Del posting in the same thread for a consistent period of time is, to me, awesome beyond words. Even seeing a few posts by the two of them amongst each other in this thread put a huge smile on my face. Good stuff. :)
What I find weird is how Fluffy Pink and Ace are pretty much the only parties who are having something to say about FFXII in their poems and having the focus of their poems on what they want about the game, while many other parties seem to go somewhat off-topic and praise their parties instead of talking about the game. Oh well.
The Square + Enix game ideas were all great! Some parties had reviews, some had poems, some had screenshots (those were cool!), and some were explaining the features of the game.
thats because we're cool!
we don't need to advertise!
*vote pink fluffy*
having never played the game I thought mschmidtFF FFTactics answer was great and informative.
a thoughtful summary, msch! ^_^~ also great poem, Mokona <3 It was sweet.
Thanks! :DQuote:

Now let's post Video Game Music/The Spirits Within forum. This task presented a choice of tough options:
Sweet_Angel (representing the BAotW party):Quote:
Choose one:
a) record yourself singing Suteki Da Ne. (with or without accompaniment, in any language you prefer)
b) draw a picture of Nobuo Uematsu. (doesn't have to be accurate)
c) create a short flash parody of The Spirits Within (two minutes or less)
I told you I'd do a new song to 'the Spirits Within' here it is... Sorry the late... if I have time later I'll sing it...
My Fantasy Dream
I thought I had woken up of a nightmare
Because you were far away from me
All those screams and dreams I had to bare
All these destruction that I had to see
All of this is what happen
When you're nop here
My dream, my fantasy
that will last for eternity
I had to escape of my fate
Altough my love for you wasn't fake
The prof was that we met again
Happy like a child with his paper plain
I can't be away from you
All that I did was for your good
My love, my dream, my fantasy
that I'll remember for eternity
Let the birds sing out loud in love
Let our lips surrender to each other
Forgive me for the things I have done
Let just focus on each other
All my nightmares were true
But they didn't warn me of you
My dream, my fantasy
that I'll remember for all the eternity
You'll never desappear
Coz u'll breath within my heart
Within my spirit
You'll always be here
No one can tear us appart
Our love is infinit
I thought I woke up of our dream
But you weren't there
I thought that it was real
But you were dead
Chibi Youkai (representing the #eoff party):
choose option a. I think this thing makes me sound younger than i am, though.
:p here
Dark_Paladin_Cecil (representing the Ace party):
Yep, this is it. It's AMAZING! :rolleyes2 Stupid school work, wasting ,y time...
