cant remember exactly. about 20000 or so? maybe a little less.....
Nice try and you are very close. It was 18000.
How about .....What is aeris mother's name? Easy and fair.
Ifalna? Infalna? Ive actually seen both spellings in the game
woo wooo wooo wooo wooo....stop!!!!!
firstly the demi question has been done...and no answer was actually posted within this thread to confirm you as the winner...
secondly dont take one answer say its wrong and give us the answer....give other people a chance......
and in my version it is infalna...but a friend of mine ahs seen another variation...possibly the one noted by khimbar
OK, for the record, the demi question answer was the Vlakorados. The strategy guide says it has immunity, but its actually double effective.
Amd if you look in the Strategy guide to the Icicle Inn page on page 127, is shows Ifalna, but i do remember seeing Infalna, cause i thought it was weird.
strategy guide.....*cough*cheat*cough* :p
geez, its not like i read it like a book! :D(but seriously, i dont)
My version says Ifalna.
We seem to have deviated from the trivia part of this thread, plus I just wanna ask a question.
What are the three items that you can give to the Kalm Trader? Easy so you can just answer it and continue with the correct line of questioning.
PS - no strategy guides! cheating, I say!
Guide Book, Earth Harp, Desert Rose.
I know they are correct so I'll just ask the next question.
What colour is Chocobo Sage's chocobo?
Green.
What materia does Sephiroth throw at you in the Nibelheim basement?
Is this a trick question? Sephiroth doesn't throw any materia at you. It is Jenova assuming the guise of Sephiroth. Anyway, the answer is Destruct.
How many girls are with Hojo on the Costa del Sol beach the first time you visit?
3?
DEFINITALLY 3!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM 99% POSITIVE!Quote:

I'm pretty certain, given the specified location and event, that we can know well enough what he was referring to without getting into the technicalities. And I wondered where that Destruct I had came from. xDQuote:

ok dokie...lets see here....
Clouds Ultimate weapons strength is based on his remaining HP...
But Whos weapon is dependant on remaining MP?
Aeris?
Actually, MP is the determining bonus for three ultimate weapons: Cid's Venus Gospel, Cait Sith's HP Shout, and Red XIII's Limited Moon.
No, the characters with MP dependant weapons are just Cid and Red XIII. As for Cait Sith, there is a clue in the name - HP Shout.
My mistake. I wasn't really thinking.
Sooo???? Is there a new question or what?????
hmmmmm i was 99% sure red xii weapon was also hp based......but that 1% does leave room for doubt...
however the answer i was looking for was cids venus gospel...
even with the minor mistake of cait sith......
you still got it congrats masamune1600
your up......better get a move on...someone gettin impatient....
but can you blame them...i mean theyve waited a whole 2 and a half hours for the next question :p
Alright.
Name three instances during the game where the piece "J-E-N-O-V-A" plays.
Ummmok lets see.....
1. On that Shinra Boat thing, when heading towards costa del sol.
2. When speiroth kills Aeris :(
3. and finally just before the second to final fight at the end of the game.
Actually, "J-E-N-O-V-A" plays only during the first of your three choices. "Aeris' Theme" plays during the second, and "Jenova Absolute" plays during the third choice. Good luck.
uhh, when Cloud discovers that Jenova is in the Shinra building?
No, sorry!
1. On that Shinra Boat thing, when heading towards costa del sol.
2. Thinks.....Northern crater disk2 Fight with JENOVA DEATH..i think
3. Fight with Hojo
1. on the shinra boat
2.Jenova Life in the city of the ancients
3.the hojo fights
ff-fanatix is correct. "J-E-N-O-V-A" plays during the battle with Jenova∙BIRTH on the Cargo Ship, the fight with Jenova∙DEATH in the Whirlwind Maze, and the battles against Hojo at the Sister Ray. You're up.
wooo yay me!!!
There is an enemy skill named trine....
how many times during the game can this ability be learnt and from whom?
ooh ooh, three. Once from Materia Keeper, Godo in Wutai, and in Great Glacier from.... Stilva? (They look like small Materia Keepers)
correct....
altho for some reason my head says 4....but i no its 3.....weird...lol
your up

anyway.....wheres Khimbar2775 with new question?
sry. Any way... describe in detail how to obtain the Curse Ring.
1) You can get the Cursed Ring when Cloud, Tifa or Cid are the team leader. You need to enter Mideel before it gets destroyed, walk onto the first bridge section, listen for the 'clink' to the right of the house on the far left. Press 'O' to investigate and obtain the Beaten-Up Key. Go into the house on the right-hand side of the first bridge section and examine the door. You will then have the option to use the key, but it will become stuck. Choose the option to force the key. It will break and the owner will ask you what happened. Explain that you forced the key and it broke. He will laugh and explain the door is not real, merely a painting to represent the afterlife. For your troubles he will give you the Cursed Ring.
2) Steal it from Ultima WEAPON i) when you battle it before the Lifestream breaks through, ii) when chasing it in the Highwind and it hovers over Mideel.
*claps* couldnt have said it beter :p
What materia does Sephiroth throw at you in the Nibelheim basement?[/QUOTE]
destruction materia. I think, i havent played in a while
gravity, isnt it????
Congrats ForestOwl. Thats a mediocre to hard question and you did it w/o breaking a sweat! :D your up!
I didn't think that question was too hard... Oh well.
When can you first find Cait Sith's HP Shout?
When you parachute inton midgar, after you fight the Proud Clod you go into the gym on the 2nd floor and look in a locker and thats were you get it and when you find it lol.
Nope. I thought someone would say that. Try again.
Is it the Honeybee Inn?
No. I thought this question would be easier than this...
when you FIRST reach Shin-ra! geez, you can find it, but Cloud says something like, "Whats this... a megaphone? No need for this." and ignores it.
Yes...It is when you first reach the Shin-ra Building and hello everyone this is my first post
Yay, my turn! :D next question. There are two monsters in the game that have one body & two heads extending from it. Name all four of the monsters (One for each head.)
Ying + Yang, Schizo (Left) + Schizo (Right).
Khimbar2775, in the future please wait until the person who originally asked the question responds to confirm a possible answer.
Yes I believe Forest Owl is right the one you fight after the stairway in Shin-ra Mansion and the other I believe is a Dragon looking thing with two heads that you fight after drinking water and restoring your hp/mp, is Forest Owl correct?
FoerstOwl is correct
Ok Forest Owl you're up think of a good one!
ok Sephitachi7 no offence but could you not posts if yopu dont have an answer to the current question, or your postind a question....
if somone gets it right the question poster will confirm it....
end of rant....have fun on the boards....give us a question damnit :D
Oh, I'm sorry (eventhough I'm kinda doing it again here). My apologies to everyone.
Name all the characters in the game who are left-handed.
lol that can be anyone!!! trick question!!!
I know that Dyne is. But then so could the president, or Jesse or even Esther. Anyone could be left handed. But Dyne is for certain.
Sorry, I shall rephrase the question.
Name all the characters in the game who hold their weapons in their left hand.
Holy_Aeris has got one of them.
Cid
Tifa is ambidex....does that count :D
cid cloud tifa aeris sometimes barret
No one has given me all the characters yet. Keep guessing.
-.- someone just mention all the characters in final fantasy along with the npcs so we can move on
Ok so we know Dyne does, and Cid does, and i think Sephiroth does aswell??
But what about Tifa and Cait Sith???
Dyne is correct, as it Cid. Sephiroth is wrong. Tifa, Cait Sith and any other ambidexterous characters do not count. There is one more character you need to find. Good luck.
is the third person an npc? Perhaps Elena?
Khimbar2775 is on the right track...
oooh! Tseng?
Nope, but still on the right track.
oooh OMFG ITS GOTTA BE RENO!! why didnt it hit me before??
At last! The left-handed people are Cid, Dyne and Reno. Khimbar2775 to ask the next question.
Some one else take the initative. I cant think of one right now. but... has anyone played Xenogears?
I've played Xenogears. Great game. But isn't this the wrong forum? :greenie:
Question: What materia does Cloud have equipped in his flashback where he fights monsters with Sephiroth?
Pre-emptive.
um... lightning???
You are correct ForestOwl! :)
And the odd thing is that in the present, Cloud doesn't have Pre-Emptive yet. You have to get it later. Guess Shin-Ra confiscated it or something. :rolleyes2
Remember Cloud wasn't the one who fought by Sephiroth's side but Zack, so it must've been Zack that had it equipped
BAH! technicalities.......
uhhh, ForestOwl???????
Hello? Forest Owl??? Your turn.......
ok its been a while now....
ill fill ni for time being and forest-owl can taker a turn later...just to keep the thread alive...
name the item you recieve from the hooded person ni tifas bedroom when you go to nibelheim.
Luck source
ok is it right or no, or else someone please take over
Will do.
In the bar in Wall Market, when Cloud needs a dress, what combination do you ask for to get the Satin Dress?
Soft & Shiny
Correct.
w00t!
Name the first short range weapon you recieve for barret
Thats Atomic Scissors I think.
I think there is one before that.
Never mind it was a bad question, you can by the cannonball in Kalm, but technically you can get attomic scissors earlier by stealing from custom scissors, go ahead Saiyan Knight
Free question, im too tired to think of a decent question.
Ok, if anybody wants to respond, what is the name of the first boss you fight?
That Scorpion thing???
Guard Scorpion???
Good job Holy_Aeris, your turn (you got it on both threads!)
OK no one has said anything in few days so I'll go.
How much GP do you get for a Hi Potion when you win a chocobo race?
is it 15 GP?
10?
Come on it's been a while now, please respond.
OK OK I've been away.
You are correct! The answer was 15GP. Your turn.
ok, um... how much does the villa (house) at Costa del Sol cost?
300,000 Gil! BOOYAH! :p
You are right. Wow you know quite a lot, i'm impressed. Your turn.
Doesn't look like Khimbar2775 will be back anytime soon and this thread is slipping.
Q: What is Shinra's Phrase Of The Week?
why thank you! :D but i do believe i am stumped here... Wouldnt it be on the T.V. screen in the Shinra building with the cars in it??? or maybe somewhere else...Quote:

Alright, but I'll let the question stand in case anyone else wants to have a go at it. In the meantime I'll ask another question.
Q: What is the total number of steps in the Shin-Ra Building staircase? To refresh your memory it is the staircase Tifa suggests you enter the Shin-Ra building when you arrive to rescue Aeris.
Do you mean floors or actual steps? If floors I`ll say.............8 but for stair I`ll say 64
flights of stairs? i wanna say 60... or what are we looking for?Quote:

It isn't that hard if you think about it logically. I'll give you a starting point. There are 8 steps per flight of stairs.
1040. if not, then 2080. My memory is shot to h*ll
1,040 is close.
1050?? 1060?? 1048??
No, that's going the wrong way. There are less than 1,000 steps.
As a reminder here are the current questions as they stand
Q1: What is ShinRa's phrase of the week?
Q2: What is the total number of steps in the ShinRa Building staircase?
well, cause 8 is a binary number, i would randomly guess.....1024
8 steps per flight x 2 flights per floor x 59 floors= 944 steps.
That's how I did it, but aren't there 65 floors in the shinra building?
then 1008... right?
not right. 8x2x65=1040
There are more floors than 59, but that endless back staircase despoits you on the 59th floor.
But isn't the president's office at the top floor, ie the 65th? The floors run all the way up

o geez, this is pointless...
Guys, it's only the number of steps in the immediate staircase you go up to the 60th floor on.
But you don't have to necessarily multiply by 59 as going up the staircase is not relevant to the 59 floors, I think. You don't actually go up 59 floors in theory, it is just many screens of stairs.
then again, there are about 2 or 3 floors per screen. But anyway. :rolleyes2
This is more trouble than it is worth, eh. xD
I was just saying that you shouldn't multiply the amount of steps you get on one floor (if you can judge how many make a floor when going up the staircase?) by 59. You'll have to work it out by noting how many steps there are on one screen then multiplying it by the amount of screens there are to get the total number. I need to play to check the actual answer.
(Unless the amount of steps per screen are different each time, but if this was the case then the question is stupid.)
BG-57 is correct, there are 944 steps. The back staircase does not continue past the 59th floor as you will discover when running up it. The staircase leads directly to the 59th floor door and no further.
BG-57 can ask a question now, or someone can attempt my previous question which was "What is ShinRa's phrase of the week?".
Gotta love them logic puzzles.
Question: Who else in the game does Cloud's victory move (spinning the weapon over the head) other than Cloud himself?
Easy, 2 shinra soliders, cloud showed them that pose when he was desgised as a shinra soliderQuote:

Ric_strife, it is customary to ask a question when you have guessed an answer correctly. Will you be posting one soon?
Ok, sorry for the delay, did'nt know the custom, so heres my Question:
what is the name of the spirits that attack cosmo canyon and petrified Seto (Nanaki's father)?
Gi spectors?
The Gi tribe.
correctomundo
so i take it BG-57 is correct????
Looks like this thread has come to a standstill.
Q: How many students does Zangan have worldwide?
I think ForeswtOwl's answer was more accurate anyway. :greenie:
Wasn't it some ridiculously large number like 256?
128 students all over the world... :greenie: correct ?
Exactimundo!!!
That's a Bitmap option: 256 colors.Quote:

"But Mr. President, please do not call it a Mako cannon."
"This new weapon will be called......" ( name of Mako cannon ??? )
That must be easy...
SISTER RAY!!!
Correct! So you can ask a next question… :)
do we need a jump start????? If so, what is the first opportuinity you have to get an E.Skill ability?
i'm thinking when you first enter the marshes, but most people can't get it because they're usually too low of a level for beta to not kill them. it's either that or right after you get the buggy.
I'm pretty sure you can get Mantra Magic from the Custom Sweepers between Kalm and the Chocobo Ranch.
As soon as you come out of Midgar.
yup yup, Matra Magic outside Midgar, good job BG-57 :D
OK. :)
Question: List the Turks you fight in order of most number of times to least number of times.
ummm... reno rude elena? or was it reno elena rude... ahhh i dunno.
Reno Rude Elena
You fight Reno in Sector 7.
You fight Reno and Rude in Gongaga.
You fight Rude in Rocket Town.
You fight Reno, Rude, and Elena in Midgar.
The totals are:
Reno (3)
Rude (3)
Elena (1)
Your go crop! :)
wouldnt it be
Reno - 4
Rude - 4 and
Elena 1
Because of the Crashed Gelinka? :D
Yeah, but even if you don't fight them in all the optional battles Reno and Rude still come out tied and ahead of Elena.
Could I hand my go over to someone else? (I like answering but I dont like writing them) If I cant i'll think of a question.
i'll go then.
In Disc 2, when raiding Midgar, you are able to side track through the underground tunnels to visit the Shinra HQ building for a second time. What are the two items you can get by taking the long series of stairs?
Elixir and Glow Lance?
Behemoth Horn and Elixir. The Grow Lance (it says Glow Lance when you pick it up though) is on Floor 63 and the HP Shout is on Floor 64.
Forest Owl is up ^_^
When and where do you discover who Aeris' mother is?
In Elmyra's house, when you go there to see if Marlene is safe just after the pillar supporting Sector 7 is self-destructed.
I thought at that point, she only reveals that she's not Aeris' mother, but not who the birth mother is/was. I don't remember.
So my guess would be at the Icicle Inn before making your first trek to the Northern Crater. Or Hojo reveals it to you at some point. I think my memory is going on me, for serious.
Elmyra has a flashback where she finds a very young Aeris by her dying mother's side at the train platform. That's the first time we see Ifalna, although she appears more extensively in the Icicle Inn home movies.
The first time you see Aeris' mother is during Elmyra's flashback, but you only discover who she was while watching the home movies at the Icicle Inn, so Sepho was right and can ask the next question.
Aaaand, I hate to do this again, but somebody else can take my turn.
what monster can you morph into a luck source, and where can you find this monster? (be specific)
Bad Raps in the Sunken Gelnika Airship. More specifically they are in the corridor where the Reno/Rude battle took place.
ur turn!
What are the maximum stats (HP, Attack, Defence, Magic Attack, Magic Defence) Safer Sephiroth can have?
how *can* you possibly know those stats?????? other than taking notes on how powerful other attacks are in comparison with characters and mathematically deducing the damage and finding an algorithm for it all.....
Yep, algorithms all the way.
I would guess as much as any other character is able to have...
9999 HP 999 MP and 255 in each stat?
MP isn't required for this question, only HP, Attack, Defence, MagAttack and MagDefence. Suffice to say his HP is considerably over 9,999 and none of the other stats are 255.
and you have already done so i assume???Quote:

No more Trivia?
Well nobody's tried to answer my question for 2 months, so I guess you can ask a new question or have a go at mine.
I think your question is a little too complicated to work out without any mathmatical kowledge - it's not really something you can pick up trivially from gameplay.
BTW - What was the answer?
400,000 HP, 246 Attack, 260 Defence, 140 Magic, 308 Magic Defence
Here's another question to keep things going for the time being.
How many linked materia slots does Red's Centclip have?
2
Wrong.
0?
Yep. Your turn.
Ok, what materia growth is the armor Warrior Bangle?
None.
good. Your turn.
