I probably won't level another job any time soon because levelling is boring. If it is it will be WHM to 37 and/or BLM to 37 since those are useful subs. If I level a main job it will likely be BST or maybe Eleni's SMN.
I'd like to finish off the CoP story once and for all with Apocalypse Nigh. That is my current goal but that will take a couple days tops. 1/3 on Shadows of the Departed at the moment and I soloed the first one so the others shouldn't be hard.
I like questing so I hope the new expansions and WoTG story will keep me busy in the new year. Otherwise I'm running out of stuff to do in this game. I don't care all that much about pimp ass gearz so stuff like Limbus, Salvage, Sky aren't really for me. They are also time consuming. :o

Pretty disastrous parties in the last couple of evenings have lead to very slow leveling. Sometimes I think I'm the only person on the Dunes capable of avoiding getting aggro from goblins. :p We had someone in our party last night that got aggro from them while moving around on about... five to ten occasions.
EDIT: THF now 13, PLD now 25 or 26. For anyone interested in Danielle who never posts here, she's something like WHM37, BLM19, SCH10, SMN1.

At this point the only missions I have left to do are Wings of the Goddess and the new Shantotto scenario that is yet to be released. Hopefully once WotG is complete and you can get some item from it people will want to do it. Still haven't gotten any Homam and my Limbus LS is having issues so that's up in the air. I would not feel I was missing out on much if I quit the game never having gotten any, but having to switch out Dusk all the time to run around is really annoying.
Seeing as I'm home in bed feeling miserable from the flu, once I'm done with all of the countless updates, I'll be enjoying the free trial hopped up on pain meds and chronicling my adventures somewhere in here.

P.S. Yes, Maat's Cap is a joke. One big huge joke. And a guy I know who had 18 jobs to 75 before the first level increase, has no qualms about complaining about it now.
How many of those were 75 before the adjusted exp. curve?
Honestly, I'm not sure. I know he had at least 3 or 4 of them to finish off right before the first aby update. Other than that, I couldn't tell you. Because I came back the day the first aby add on was released ;-;
I think he means the exp adjustment from way back in the day. But just ignore him, he's just jealous of your lvl 90 DNC.

My next question was going to be whether CoP completion was pre- or post-nerf. The first nerf, mind you. Not the one this past summer.
I completed CoP after the very first nerf. Level cap was still in place. Mind you...I joined the game shortly before that nerf, so it's not like I had much of a choice :)
The last question was mostly a joke, but I appreciate your honesty.
You're quite welcome. I had heard that it was almost impossible before the first nerf, and people took pride in the fact that they had completed it before they did anything to it. But when I started playing, I was mainly focused on leveling my WHM. I wasn't even aware of the CoP story line, much less knew what a nerf was lol.
I don't remember what exactly the original nerf adjusted. I think it messed with Snoll a bit, among other things. I do know that I never felt that CoP was particularly hard post-nerf. My big problem was never winning the fights (that was rarely a problem), but rather because I quit and rejoined with such alarming frequency for my first few years of FFXI, I never got around to doing CoP until long after everyone else had finished it. I could just never get anyone to actually do the missions. I missed out on a static with some friends, and in the end I just waited until I could solo/duo my way to Sea access.
That's understandable. Actually, I was in a Qufim party and got the initial cutscene by running into the tower. A few people picked me up and got me as far as the promies, and I had to do that myself by shouting. Once I got to Ouryu though, I stopped. When I joined my first real social ls, this guy ended up building a static and I went with them as a SMN. The fights weren't hard, and actually, I recorded some of the main fights and put them on youtube with commentary from us. After that...we continued going through the rest of the expansions and finished all of them except WoTG, which I never had an interest in anyway.
For me though, it was the exact opposite. When we were doing our static, we had people trying to wiggle in because NOBODY had completed it. Now though, almost everybody has done it, so it's hard to find help.
Not completing Wings of the Goddess is probably the only regret I have about quitting the game when I did. It was really good.
The last fights were pretty cool. The ending was ok.
Really? Bummer. I felt like it was building up to being pretty epic.

I started playing again after I got an XBox 360 and I've been soloing up to 50 with different jobs and doing the little quests before venturing into the higher levels (something I've never done before). If anybody still plays, it'd be fun to team up. :p

Oh yeah, I haven't updated my info in forever either. I stopped playing in January this year and at that time i had war whm drg sam thf dnc smn and mnk at level 95. Not really super good gear, but enough to get by. Some jobs are more gimp than others. Monk is one of the gimpest of them all, and apparently the one that's stuck showing on the FFXIAH site cause I can't log in to change it.
