I'm not going through seven other pages to see if the rules ever change. The first post says I can hurt, heal, or reflect. It doesn't say I can only do any of them once or that I have to do all three.

Geez...did you play all the elimination game? If you haven't played, at least READ the healing/hurting post until you understand.

This is taking fricking forever, why don't we hit for 60, heal for 30, that way we ensure HP will dwindle. If we all hit and heal for the same damage, we're never going to get to the end of this thing. Look at my post, I had to choose between only Rude, Aeris and Elena to heal. And if we continue in this manner, we'll be healing eachother's hits completely. If we up the damage to 60, it will take 2 heals to every 1 hit to get them back to 420 max.

Also I think this will fix the lack of activity.

I've never had a go at this, but just by looking at the last few posts, I have to agree. Hurting should deal more damage than healing, or this could go on for a very very long time.

I'm glad to see I'm not the oly one backing this idea up. Basically how this thing has gone since the beginning is adding the HP from the dead characters into the alive ones. Its like they're all sapping eachother's HP rather than hurting them. UYnless we get a stretch of people who hate one particular person, they'll never die. I can see this getting very long and drawn out and never ending and just dying as an unsuccessful thread becasue people will tire of it as nobody ever dies.

60/30 is what we should go with.

If you take a look at the character duel in the FFT forum we've finished because we did it 50-25. I have a Suikoden Forum where I took 35 of the hundreds of characters and started one there on April 26th and we've finished one and started on another. This thread was started March Second and its still going on with a LOT of people.

The flaws as I see it, are the people have FAR too much max HP. As it stands it will take eleven or twelve hits to kill someone, in that time we'll see people come in and heal them because they have nobody else to heal. If we make the damage higher we'll see an overall decrease in HP.

In the beginning there was an overall of 7500 HP. Before vivi_ultima removed 90 from each character a few posts ago, if you add everyone's HP it equals 7500 again. Dropping everyone's HP but not altering damage amounts will not result in a quicker game.

Either we have 2 hits for 30 and one heal for 30 or we can have one hit for 60 and one heal for 30. That way we'll see a real decrease in HPs. Mechanically we can never go to one winner unless we remove the HP cap. Then we can see in the end one character with all 7500 HP, or 5910 after the 90 HP cut (60 in Elena's case killing her).

Option 1. Up damage to 60 and heal to 30
Option 2. Allow 2 attacks of 30 and one heal of 30
Option 3: Remove Max HP limit
Option 4: Let it go now and watch the thread die.

I have to agree with RedCydranth it might be a never ending cicle if this keeps going, damage should be 60 and healing would still be 30.

I guess will wait to see if the "headmaster" accepts this new rule, until then damage and healing remain the same.

option 2 seems pretty cool, I hope that can be implemented.

Okay so my over a year here means nothing. Fine. And the obvious expressed desire to change this by several other members here means nothing, sure. How about the fact that I am right? Does that make a difference? Probably not.

With the 30-30 plan you are never actually removing Hit points from anybody.

Look at it this way. You have a cap on the Max HP, right? Is it still 420? I'll assume so.

This is the result forcibly. I removed the HP from the dead characters 30 at a time healing the others 30 at a time. You will HAVE to have most other characters at Max HP. Sure it might not be this exact layout or those exact characters dead, but with the way you have the game, once four more characters die, it will become impossible to kill anyone as the Max HP barrier will prevent anyone from getting lower than 390 HP. Once you remove the 30 HP from anyone besides Cid, you HAVE to heal Cid making him at Max HP. Thus not really doing anything. This process WILL repeat.

Of course I'm typing all of this in vain as the person who created this won't even CONSIDER looking at how this game will pan out. If you can explain how, after three more characters die, you can kill anyone without cutting everyone's HP like some hand of god, by all means. I'll shut up and you'll never have to deal with me again. But please look at the future.

I reviewed the FFIX thread and the only reason that game ended was because Jhei and others decided to cut everyones HP once they all got to Max and also that game forced people to give up heals and protects. If you want a functional game where there doesn't have to be an interference from god swiping everyone of a chunk of HP off everyone once they get to max HP, you should just make the damage more than the heal. This way it will pan out on its own rather than having divine intervention hurt everyone. It will remove the hassle and eventually make the game end at some point in the near millenium.

What's this 'experienced user' business? I haven't been here long, but I instantly judged the situation and knew that it was going to take a very very long time to end.

Um, usually someone just knocks everyones hp down by 60 or 90. The FFIX elimination game eventually ended and the VIII one is getting there and no one ever changed the hurt damage. Just give this one time.

That lsast move was done by Kain's_girl. Is it fair that you were forced to not heal someone because everyone else was healed?

If you ALL want to go on having to do the death by divine intervention, be my guest but its going to take a VERY long time. Especially with the love people have for FFVII, there's going to be a lot of competition for certain characters.

I would start my own variation of this here, but I have a fear it'd get locked because we already have an elimination match going and it will seemingly last until august.

And the whole experience issue is just wrong. It doesn't matter who has been here the longest, it matters that players of this game might want a change of pace and you should listen to them. And Secondly if it IS about experience, I have more experience with this site than most of the people who have played this game, not that it matters. There are "more experienced" people who play this game, but if they have the maturity to last here this long, they'll probably at least check out to see if what I have to say is worth anything and make an opinion based on facts rather than just being stubborn.
