Plus, the point you ignored: that some people who haven't submitted and now think they can't might not submit one now, which isn't fair. Another point you ignored: it'd be ANOTHER change mid-round. Another point: some people who may have voted earlier might not vote again once they're all up.
We either need to keep it as is or just scratch the round and try again. Due to the controversy and the sudden changes, etc, it seems to me best to just scratch this round. Other people (some of whom did submit an entry) agree.

Maxx is right, though, what's done is done. If you cancel it, it does kinda make the stuff pointless. But I do think that it was unfair that you didn't stick to the time, and ended entries early, it kinda was unfair to those who have prior dedications. But I have no feeling for those who were just lazy.

Assuming that everything does go ahead as normal, I don't think that non-participants should lose a point (normally they get -1 for that round).

Wow, this is pretty sweet, first Ciddie happens to be the biggest one there is. Honestly, I have no clue as to how I managed to win this thing, especially with BoB as my main opponent. I mean, he IS BoB, and if not him, I would have expected someone else who I see as a better member than myself to have won it, such as Big D, The Captain, Kishi, etc. But wow, man, Best Member huh? You sure there isn’t some mistake and this is really the new "Most Gullible" Ciddie? I mean, I can honestly say that I never expected to receive this, and was thrilled just when I was nominated. Well, I guess this is time for a huge THANK YOU to all of you people who voted for me. Now, since I have the floor, I’d like to do some toasts, because really, is there ever a BAD time to toast something (okay, maybe funerals). This is to some groups who I feel deserve a shout-out. If I don’t mention you, it doesn’t mean I hate you, just that I like these people more (don’t even try and pretend I’m the only one who does this).
First, to the Site Staff. This group, as I’m sure you know, is one of the most under-appreciated. Managing the entire Front Site can’t possibly be easy, and the fact that they receive virtually no compensation only makes it more notable. Without the main site, the Forums population would most likely be much smaller, and than a bunch of people may have not voted for me and I may have lost. So here’s to you Site Staff. You’re the reason I’m here, like it or not, as the Front Site is what drew me into the Forums as well.
Next, a toast to the Knights. They’re probably the most well-known, and probably have to put of with the most crap. I mean sure, everyone thinks it’s be great to be one. I mean, their like the Justice League, just with less spandex and less muscles (for better or worse). But really, would you like to have to put up with whiny teens, rabid fanboys, and the occasional quadruple poster who feels everyone MUST know how much Sephiroth rocks his world four times over? Theirs is really nothing more than another job, and one that people sometimes underestimate in its necessity for the continued existence of the forums.
Finally, to Cid and those who came before us. As with every great thing, it must start small, with a few who build upward. Though I was not around for their time, I often hear of things involving Big Ogre Umaro, or others I don’t recognize. However, as with regular history, it is important to remember the past, and for this I salute you, members of the bygone years. Some of you have come back, some never left, others regularly pop in, but all were important to EoFF in some way.
Well, I guess I really run out of things to say, so I’ll end with a big old shout-out to all of you who voted for me again. Oh, and to The Captain, rightful winner of this award. I mean seriously, I voted for him myself, so where’s the justice in that? Oh well, I’ll just have to campaign for him hard next year. Well, thanks all, and good night.

Hello. Hello. It looks like after all that buildup I've beaten out Loony BoB for the Best Member ciddie. What were you thinking!? I guess it really doesn't matter. I wonder what you're thinking every year when BoB wins too. What is the best member ciddie? Well, you see, it's one of a few ciddies average EoFF'ers take seriously. Maybe not so serious as the most likely to be kissed by a princess and turned into a frog ciddie, but pretty close behind it. What does it take to win such a ciddie? Apparently not much While some members try to bribe others for a vote others try to win off "internet popularity" alone. It seems the most successful way to win it is to run the ciddies themselves to rig the vote and then let one slide by here and there to throw off the trail.
When I first joined EoFF I thought to myself, "This is probably a bad idea and I'll regret it later. There's tons of weirdos and freaks on the internet." I guess I could say I was wrong about that, but then again I've just won the King Geek award so who knows? One thing I will never forget is that I did not get here alone! Along this journey through EoFF I've made many friends and they've supported me all the way to the top. At times I've even competed with friends in certain events. Those are always the worst of times. I think I might have made a few enemies too but they've all seemed to disappear. Lordy I sure hope they don't come across my homemade porn tapes and post them across the internet!
Now that I've won the Best Member Ciddie I have to wonder where I go from here. Do I keep sludging on only to slip into second next year, then sit and watch helplessly as it all goes downhill? Do I plot and scheme for the internet forum scandel that gets me banned forever and assures my fame at EoFF forever and ever? Do I reach for new goals and struggle to achieve them through years of sweaty fingers and midnight snack cakes? Hell, I'm not going to tell you. You'll just have to wait and see for yourselves.

Well I would like to start by saying that this is an honour, but it isn’t, so I won’t. There are many different members here at EoFF from many different walks of life. We have males and the occasional rare female who’s accidentally registered with the wrong forum. We have popular people, like the staff-whores, and the unpopular people, like Psychotic. We have the oldbies, like Loony Bob, and the newbies, like Loony Bob. We have young members, old members, really old members, RSL. But I think that, if nothing else, this award showcases beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am better than all of you combined. On a good day.
To say that I am the greatest human being on the planet would be an insult to myself, as I’d be bringing myself down to a level of mortality that is unbecoming of someone as awesome as myself. Rather than list all of the things I am best known for, I’d rather not waste my precious time in such ways with you peasants, and as such will simply remind you of the advice given to me by my father as a child – “Son you’re afraid of me. I was afraid of my father, and he was afraid of my grandfather, and he was afraid of my great-grandfather. So help me if your kids aren’t cowering from you when you get in from work you’ve failed as a parent. Go to it!”. A poignant lesson if there ever was one from the only person capable of beating me at poker.
Now I’ve got much more important things to be getting on with, like sitting in my underwear scratching my colossal package, or shouting random obscenities at passers-by, or idling in some backwater IRC channel. So I’ll wrap this up real quick with a thank you list. First off I’d like to thank me, for always being there even during the bad times. I’d also like to thank all of those who have cowered and worshipped me in the correct manner in the past, present and future. Well it seems as if luck exists, I must thank luck and fate for this beauty of a ciddie. It's just so near impossible, still it;s wonderful though.
On the other hand this is a great turn of events for me. For once people actually like me. For a long time I have tried to stop people looking down on me, I think this ciddie may just help me, I thank everyone who has voted for me, and mostly the nominators.

You should have told us that voting for ourselves wasn't allowed (instead of just discouraging it) at the beginning of the Decathlon if you decided that halfway into the Decathlon you'd not count votes for oneself. Now a bunch of people have wasted votes.

So Proto, if a contestant really wants to win this thing, why would they vote at all? If they can't vote for themselves then they can only hurt their cause. At least by having a top 3 vote we can vote for ourselves and help our cause while at the same time recognizing some of the other good ones. Well, considering that with the early start of the Ciddies and the lack of votes I am getting for the current round, I am postponing this round's voting. Hopefully, this will give everyone more than enough time to read the entries and by the time the Decathlon returns, you can properly vote for your favorite three. I'm sorry this has to happen, but you know, lack of votes and interest at the moment, I think postponing the current round's voting may be the way to go.
The Ciddies started on the day that was listed in the Calendar for the past six or so months. :p Of course, only I could see that, but the point is that they didn't start that early at all. ;) I thought the pre-Ciddies tournament sort of gave a hint. xD
