Wind Waker
Dragon Quest IX
Atelier Escha & Logy
Just finished the witcher 2, roche's path
not sure for my next game to get back into assassins creed, i'm way back at 3, just after you finish playing as Kenway or to pick up kingdoms of Amalur again, think i'm about 17 hours into it.
I'm winding down on Fantasy Life. After doing everything there was to do in the main game I picked up the DLC.
The additional story is great, and still manages to capture that brilliant charm that balances self-awareness, solid characters, and fun nostalgia that made the game so great.
The new area is a bit oddly structured, but that's understandable given that it has to be self-contained. It's actually much more expansive than I would have expected.
Then there's the extra Creator Rank. Ooh, yay, you can progress further with your chosen Life! Fantastic for half of them. But the requirements to hit the top tier Creator rank as ANY of the crafting professions is utterly ridiculous. Most of the time when leveling through the game I could either buy the items I needed to make things, or I'd get them as rewards for doing random quests around Riveria. In the expansion they seem to have thrown most of that out in favor of really extensive grinds for materials, several of which you don't get any clues as to where they might drop or how to obtain them.
This actually really hurts the game. Part of the incredible design of the base game was how solid and self contained each Life was. Yes, you had to do some fighting with bosses (though even then, if you focus on the Doomstones, it was pretty easy to skip through the combat quickly), but you could essentially play an entirely non-combat game with most of the classes, and still have it be fun and well built mechanically. As it is, I've hit Creator rank with two of the four combat Life classes, and I don't have a clue how to even get ONE of the Creator challenges for Blacksmithing.
So I'm kind of cooling off my massive binge on the game.
Maybe it just opens up more as I progress further with the Origin Island story. But the ridiculous imbalance of it is getting to me. Plus, part of the joy of the game IS the progression. It's what I spent most of the main game doing, working on my Life classes. So having some max out really easily while not having any idea how to begin some others is really not conducive to keeping me playing.
Im in the middle of AC:Unity and since the DLC just came out, I've been playing that. And FF XIV
Still playing FFVI. Just made it to the World of Ruin. Goddammit, Edgar, snap out of it!
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory
Dragon Quest IX
FFXII: Revenant Wings
FFXIII. So want to finish this thing once and for all and never have to touch it again.
You could just stop playing it. It's the option I went with years ago.
I finally beat Black Battler in Ougon Musou Kyoku CROSS, and what was the first thing I did? Naturally fight him again, and once again beat him. Funny how the most difficult things get totally doable if you manage to do them just once.
Time to learn other characters...
building a FF IX themed creation on Minecraft Xbox 360
im also currently playing Bravely default (1st time) Dragon quest 1( first time) and FFV ( im doing a Letsplay with my nephew)
Nothing! I'm playing nothing and I like it! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*cough* Sorry. FFVI was just a very huge project to tackle. I'm exhausted. Glad I'm reviewing a movie instead next week.
Having a dabble with Sim City 3000. It's quite enjoyable so far!
EDIT: The above is a lie. I just wanted to mention a game with 3000 in the title in honour of the 3000th post in this thread.
Replaying FFV at the moment.
