Dazzle the Ladies
Dazzle the Lords
Battle with gems
Not with swords
4 for 1 and 1 for all
For a shield that's magical
Its shimmering shine
Is quite divine
Its healing is grand
With more on hand
Carbuncle?
It's not the Auction House is it?
Why didn't I think of Sea Lion for Chocoboy's riddle? Must have been a bit more interested in getting the cure thing....

Seems to be referring to the begging play, where one needs to impress the nobles to get an item.

This brings the Alexander summoning thing to mind, unless I'm way off.
4 for 1 and 1 for all
For a shield that's magical
Brings to mind the four elemental magic mirrors that one attains at Ipsen's Castle.
Its shimmering shine
Is quite divine
Brings to mind the Shimmering Isle, unless I'm off course with this one.
Its healing is grand
With more on hand
The healing that occurs with the gemstones one holds.
This entire thing makes me think the answer is an enemy....

With more on hand More moonstones = more HP when used as an item
