EoFF RPG: Take #382

hi, it's Izzo.For.Real. I just wanted to let all of you know, including Rase, that the version of RMXp you have is Illegal! Download the 30day free trial of the legal one at download.com. Rase, don't worry, you can still open your game in the legal one, but most scripts don't work in the illegal version(won't show text). so, use the legal one.

P.S.-My EOFF RPG is still going. check the topic Eoff RPG(Yes, Again), for info.

P.S.S.-If anyone has RMXp Chocobo sprites, I could use them.

P.S.S.S.-Rase,I can recolor sprites and they look pretty professional. If you need me to, just send me the sprite. i do battlers too.

The scripts work fine, you n00b. You just have to add a few lines.
Besides, you have to pay money for the legal version. Why bother?

Well, first, if I had done it that way, I would have ended this about five months ago when the trial would have run out. I'm not going to drop $60 on this program, so it's the way I'm doing it now or none at all.
As for scripts, I have no clue what you're talking about, since I've used about six in my game and they all work fine, as does the text. Scripts can be finicky, so maybe you just weren't entering the just right when you tried them (happened to me who knows how many times).

That's nice, but I would prefer you didn't advertise your game in the thread for mine. You could just use your sig and get the same effect. :)

Oh, *sigh*. scripts that are made in the legal version(which all the best ones are. check my CMS) don't display the scripts text in the illegal version. For instance, if you download a legal CMS, if you load it in the illegal version, then when you open the menu, there will be no text, just icons.

I tried a few different CMS's (Ring Menu, Side Menu, etc.), and never had any problems with it. Both use the RGSS, which is based off of Ruby, a fairly common programming language, so it wouldn't make any sense why any scripts wouldn't work in both. That's probably more of a problem with the font from the Main script. All you'd would need to do is replace it with this and it should work:

It changes the default font from "Tahoma" to "Arial", and is the most common fix if text isn't showing up. You can also change the word "Arial" in the script to any font your computer has and it will use that (Times New Roman, Broadway BT, etc.).

Eh, well. I can't change it now, because I've already edited my game with the legal version. Knowing me, I'll probably buy it.

Sounds rather interesting.

However, I have dial-up and wont be able to play it.

Question: Am I in the game? If im not, I request that I be added. Im a member of the Pirate Red Mages btw, and am the "Pirate Red Mage Pimp" of the crew.

Also, will other EoFF groups be making an entry? I can see a Chin Patrol versus The Fedorfia battle or so on going on somewhere xD

Also, I agree with Jebus' idea of including #eoff in the game, as it is a part of the site. The boss of that place would probably have attacks like kicks, bans, kickbans, mode changing, all sorts.

I just got an idea from that, Christmas.

As that place is full of raging fangirls/fanboys, maybe their should be a battle against tons and tons and tons of fans, all at once. If youve played Yang's Trial in FFIV Advance, you'll know what kind of thing im talking about.

That would be pretty awesome.

You aren't in it as of yet, and I've already got the PRM's in and done (i.e. not planning on changing that part). I do, however, like the Chin/Fedorfia idea, and will see if I can get that in. If so, I will probably stick you in there with the Chins.

Sounds interesting. I will definitely look into that idea and making it work, somehow.

Rase, do you need me to recolor any sprite or battlers? (i.e, give someone different color hair, clothes, etc.)

I played this game a while back, the newest version, and I really really liked it. You've put in a lot of time and effort in it and it really shows. I really hope you continue, but don't let it get in the way for more important things. :up:
