Was this the first time Littlefinger has ever shown emotion other than "smug grin" on his face?
Pretty sure the reasoning he gave was that he sucks at fighting with his left hand and he would die.

I agree. Season 4 has been the most action-packed season and there's still 3 episodes left! Really the only boring part in last night's episode was when that dying farmer was ranting about who knows what, but even that scene ended in a surprise attack on the Hound. 'This day isn't going as well for you as you thought it would.' Hahaha.
That reminds me, book spoilersI was surprised that they killed off Rorge and Biter, due to their gruesome (and arguably more effectful) little story later on. It's not a huge deal but it caught me off guard nonetheless.
I had forgotten about Oberyn vendetta against The Mountain so I was starting to wonder if Tyrion was going to have to fight him himself and in came Prince Oberyn!
my guess is that Littlefinger now plans to take Sansa for himself? D:
Poor sansa, being thrown from 1 man to another.
from joffrey to Lorras, to Tyrion, to robin, to littlefinger
poor Jorah got another friendzoneslap in the face :P

Dammit, was really hoping for combat by trial, but I guess that was a good surprise to go along with everything. Also, for the first time, we got to see two Stark girls feeling good about themselves in a single episode. Arya got to kill someone effectively and Sansa got a sense of relief that Joffrey was killed as revenge for her mother's death. The Starks have to take what they can get in this story...
Good to see hotpie, he loves his gravy hahaha. So now I would imagine Littlefinger will rule the eyrie(sp?) through Robin for a little while, I liked him untill he screwed Ned, now he's winning me over again the treacherous little snake.
The new Mountain is a beast, should be an interesting fight between him and Oberyn, cant believe we have to wait another week for that. Surprised Cersei didn't just have Bronn killed, he's so awesome though it would be a crime.
I'd like to add Melissandre is hot:kiss:
The best episode of the season because Hot Pie was in it. The only way this episode can be topped is if we ever see Kovarro again. But we never shall :whimper:
I need to watch season one again, that fake gruff voice Littlefinger has now does my head in. I'm almost certain he didn't sound that bad in the first season.
I noticed that too. I think they're trying to make him look/sound older? For some reason it seemed exaggerated for this episode -- maybe just because he was whispering or being more serious/emotional for once (as Unne pointed out, it was the first time in years that he didn't have a smirk on his face).
At least he didn't go all Dark Knight on us.

I watch this every time and lol.
I always hear complaints about Gillen's voice/accent and never understood it myself.
