A lot of sad stuff happened. I feel sad.
There's an entire rap album devoted to Game of Thrones. It's...not very good, but the idea is solid. There are a lot of similiarities between Westeros intrigue and thug lyfe, that's for sure.
Anyway, I really enjoyed that episode! My favourite parts for the (albeit brief) crossing-over of storylines - Jon/Stannis in particular was great to see, especially with the whole "What would Ned do" thing. Also, I cheered out loud when Brienne beat the Hound to a bloody pulp - that was awesome.
I wonder what the deal was between Tywin and Shae: Seriously, how on Earth did THAT happen?
Also, I'm assuming Jaime had some sort of plan in place when he helped out Tyrion, because Tywin was obviously gonna find out who was responsible...was he planning on murdering Tywin himself? With or without Cersei?
Great episode, Stannis you hero:D
So where would I have to start reading to go from the end of series 4? I can't wait a year.
Oh yeah, the look between Melisandre meeting Jon Snow for the first time... that was awesome. And for any non-book reader, they probably think she's going to eat him alive. (SPOILER)Not that they're not wrong...
Get the smurf out of here with your BOOK SPOILERS. They're doing more than you think they are. You have a whole own thread to duck around with your books :doublecolbert:
Anyway EVERYONE I LIKED SURVIVED. Arya did what I had wanted her to do since that braavos guy first left. The only thing that annoys me was that Cersei's head wasn't impaled on a dozen crossbow bolts.
Mirage I remember you saying you would stop watching if Tyrion got executed. How did you feel about how his plotline for this season was wrapped up?
Best parts -
Jon Snow picks up a cup and drinks from it, then coughs a bit
Some people have beards
I had beans and chopped tomatoes while watching
There's a horse
Possible improvements -
More ducks
A cat that talks with a well known actor's voice, maybe George Clooney or Jim Carrey
A man comes in and says to Daenerys if she would like to come over for a cup of tea, turns out he's actually a tea salesman
Turns out Jaime Lannister is actually a bee
Overview -
Kind of like an epilogue, as last episode was a huge crazy finale of a battle but this episode was more subdued, like a vicious dog that's on drugs.
Daenerys is my favourite character but her scenes have gotten more and more boring and they are moving along at a snail's pace. I felt like crying when she chained the dragons up.
I liked the episode a lot. It will be a long wait now. I'll have to watch Homeward Bound 2: Lost In San Francisco every day until the fifth season comes on.
We're forgetting the most important part.
SMURFING SKELETONS! MORE OF THAT PLEASE!
Hurray!
That whole scene with Brandon Stark et al.
I loved Cersei this episode.
"If you try and force me to marry I'll tell everyone the rumors are true about me and Jaime. The rumors you don't want to believe but you know are true."
