The train!?
Nope!
Rantz was on the right lines...
The escape from Midgar?
So close!
that 3 wheeled car?
Not quite!
The first and third line are the most related to the answer. There's one more thing you are all missing from that sequence.
Motorball.(Or whatever the boss is called you face at the end.)
Yeah it sounds like the boss fight with Motorball. His little engine thing spins constantly, and you have to stop and then hit escape to flip around and face him to fight (or wait for him to beat the trout outta you...).
Once it's over, the world being your oyster references the fact that you can now travel the world map. Or something.
Sorry guys, been out celebrating the Manchester Derby result today...
FFIX Choco Boy has it spot on! The next riddle is yours!
My Engine keeps turning, round and round
Direct reference to the name of the boss. "Engine" refers to "Motor" and "round and round" refers to "ball" (sort of)
It's a cycle that ends, then again to be found
A reference to the motorcycle race that can later be accessed via the Gold Saucer.
Stop, turn and face, then our race is run
Motorball initiates a pre-emptive attack. You turn, face and defeat him.
Now the world is your Oyster, go have some fun.
Jiro is spot on. Immediately after the battle the entire FFVII world is before you and you're on your way to Chocobo Farm... and the hard core among you will attempt to learn the "Beta' enemy skill very soon.
Hmmm... this has put me in the mood for another playthrough...
That shouldn't be like that,
but it sure is creative.
Is it wrong to be jealous
of the main villain?
If I wasn't before,
Now I'm most definitely
intimidated.
Is it the "flashback" sequence in Kalm?
That shouldn't be like that,
but it sure is creative.
Obviously something is wrong. The flashback is actually not 100% accurate, but it makes for a good story and is therefore creative.
Is it wrong to be jealous
of the main villain?
Not sure what this one really refers to, but the main villain is generally assumed to be Sephiroth and Cloud was definitely in awe if not completely jealous/envious when talking.
If I wasn't before,
Now I'm most definitely
intimidated.
Cloud talks about how psycho Sephiroth's skills were. Most of the party, as of yet, were unaware of his actual powers and so for Cloud to describe it like he was invincible etc would have definitely made them intimidated.
Not the Kalm flashback, but that does fit really well.
Sephiroth's one-wing form?
Not the One-Winged Angel
