You're almost as badly off as my best friend's dad: he can't see anything at all without strong glasses and sundry assistance, and sometimes he even needs binoculars. :p

I've considered laser eye surgery myself, but I'm afraid of getting completely blind should it fail. :(
I've heard that as long as you go with someone with the due experience, it's fine. And besides, by the time my vision has stabilized, even more knowledge of how to do the procedure properly will have accumalated.
I've heard that the more expensive the cost of the surgery, the better the chances of success. I've heard that it's the cheaper places that have failures because of cheaper equipment or less credentials/experience. So keep that in mind if you're going to try it. Also make sure that you do it when your vision is perfectly stable, and ask your optometrist for more information if you're unsure of who to choose to do the surgery.
Yeah, I have really bad eyesight. A couple feet away and things start to get blurry. I don't wear contacts or glasses, though; I've been meaning to get some but you know lazy, and parents don't really respond very quickly to anything.
Now I can't be a pilot :(
I believe the common age to when your eyes are finished developing is around the age of 24, though I have no real sources to back this claim: only word of mouth.
I have pretty terrible eyesight; everything gets blurry after about six inches. I wear contact lenses most of the time, switching to glasses only to get from the bathroom to my bedroom (unless my contacts are really bugging me, which isn't often). I think mine are something like -8.00 and -7.50, or at least that's what the box says. Whatever it is, my optometrist said that right now he doesn't know if they can do laser eye surgery to "fix vision that poor". However, he thinks they will be able to by the time my eyes stop developing. Not sure how true that is, but either way I'm not to worried about it.
I wore glasses from the 3rd to the 7th grade, where I finally got contacts - which I still use today.
My sight is pretty bad. So bad that I can't really see anything without my glasses or contacts. It sucks :(
I wear glasses just when reading or using the computer or watching TV. I don't wear them while driving or while doing normal things.
I like my glasses.
I don't use glasses anymore now, sometimes I had to when i was in the computer, they belong my mom but I wore them... :p
mememmememememmemmemememe!!!!i wear glasses, and want to wear black tinted contacts, but havent yet, my friends say i look better without glasses, they are right
I wear glasses because I'm long sighted in one eye (lazy eye). I can see very well without them for a bit but it's difficult to focus on things, especially if they're close to my face. Makes my eyes hurt after a while. What's surprising is it wasn't picked up until I was 5 or so.
I'm shortsighted in my right eye, and have a astigmatism in my left so I have pretty bad eyesight. I pretty much can't see without my glasses, but I'm not going to get contact cos I'm scared of poking my eyes out :(
