Reverand Horton Heat - Psychobilly Freakout

While really not solo's per say, still very good riffs.
Dream Theater - Stream Of Consciousness
Avenged Sevenfold - Sidewinder
Slayer - South Of Heaven (beginning riff is so ungodly)
Audioslave - Like A Stone, Be Yourself (Tom Morello = beast on guitar)

Not neccessarily the best solos but the guitar tones on the solos to Killer Queen by Queen and Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty are cool.

As for solos you cant beat Randy Rhoads, technique and soul esp on Mr Crowley, plus Zappa has done loads of fantastic solos
