If you had a Last.fm profile, we'd probably have very high compatibility, as Radiohead is my #1 most-played artist and Pain of Salvation is my #3.
We should chat it up, you seem to like a lot of similar stuff and I could probably give you recommendations :D Or if you like, stop by the music forum I call home (as does another EoFF user, Ryth), Five Eight Forums
Oh man, technical music. I know a few people who could fulfill your every desire in technical (or other kinds of) death metal and hardcore. I hate to feel like I'm advertising, but really, you could find a ton of great recommendations in this vein at the music board of Five Eight Forums
Seriously. Sikth, Protest the Hero, Emperor, Necrophagist, and Spawn of Possession all have a lot of big fans there, and no name on your current list of favorites goes un-represented either. *thumbs up*
I'm adding Interpol & Slipknot to LP & 30STM , all these bands are amazing
I've been liking some Elliot Smith and Tool lately.
Kind of a strange mixture but it's been enjoyable.
I made a playlist of Madvillain, King Geedorah, Talib Kweli & Madlib, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, The Cool Kids, and Clipse on my iPod that I cannot stop playing whenever I'm driving anywhere.
I won't go into my all-time favorites since a click on my last.fm would save me the trouble of typing that up.
Protest the Hero.
MGMT
and Atlas Sound/Deerhunter
... and My Bloody Valentine
