You really hate them but...

Tidus had plenty of moments where he did or said something cool, but most of the time I found him whiny and annoying. He also showcases the very worst of James Arnold Taylor's voice acting, even more apparent if you happened to see TMNT and heard Leonardo's voice, his scream even more so.

I also hate the constant bickering surrounding the pronunciation of his name.

What I liked about Tidus: He was a Time Mage who could kick ass, and you could rename him to something more befitting his personality, like F***hole.

Rikku, she was weeeeaaaaak and annoyed me! Her attacks took so long to do.... why can't she hit them fast!? And she's too peppy.... waaaay too peppy knowing your cousin is gonna die and if she fails boom that mega fish thing in the sky (sin) is gonna be angrrryyy!

Only reason I give him an inch or two of respect is due to he's quite ace at blitzball and does grow a backbone by the end of the story. Otherwise being incredibly oblivious and full of childish doubt about almost everything, he does somewhat change towards the end and that's a bit more respect for him.
On the other hand though, he is, and always will be, a whiny so-and-so. : D

Seymour and Dona really got on my nerves, but it's probably because I never, ever have love for the antagonists. Seymour just annoyed me because he always said something stupid like "Death awaits you!111one" ten times every fight. >_>
As for the protagonists, I like 'em all except for Kimahri, who just...is too bland.

Well... i don't hate any of the characters buuuuut....

I really hate the scene where Yuna tells Tidus to laugh and Tidus be like "LOLz" and then they both be all like "LOLZ" and then they be like "ROFL WAFFLE".

That is the only time I hate the two of them.

Is it just me or is mostly every reply not what this topic is about? It's about characters you dislike but who had sweet moments you couldn't deny. It's not just a standard "I hate [insert name]" thread.

It's like Squall and Rinoa on the Ragnarok. I hate them both but that scene was beautiful and one of my favorites.

Anyway, for an FFX example, I didn't like Yuna in this game. Her best moment was when she stood up to Yunalesca and made her little speech.

I dont like Tidus but I like the scene where he goes "But I want everything" I know its a line most people hate but i like it because its abit odd.

Just make a new thread next time Rebellious Eagle, this one is quite old. :D I was surprised to see I had already posted in this.

But yeah still totally Auron. Can't stand the guy.

Its not just you, and I wish more people that had contributed to this thread had your degree of perception (I was the person who started it). The idea was to put aside your basic hatred of a character to acknowledge their good moments. It may be harder to do this, but I can't help feeling its good for the soul!
