Sounds like a cross between a pancake and an English muffin.
I want one.
Somebody send me some crumpets. Pwlease.
You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket!
Looks kinda like a waffle to me. Except round instead of square. xD
An english muffin and a crumpet are totally different wtf look at the picture! A crumpet is springy and when you toast it you have a nice crispy topping and a spongy middle, I put Raspberry jam and butter on mine.

English muffin toasted (It's called an Egg McMuffin from McDonalds)
For what it's worth, in NZ, we had both crumpets and "English muffins". The former are what has been pictured everywhere, the latter were, as shown by the lovely smitten above, basically what you get when you order Egg McMuffins.
I love crumpets and muffins.
Those of you who haven't had one of each are missing out. :jess:
There's nothing like melting butter over crumpets and slathering them with golden syrup.
And English muffins are totally different to crumpets! I'd call crumpets gooey and spongy, toasted muffins are closer to toasted bread. :p
I eat mine with Monda's Stawberrylicious Jam! :ichigo:
I don't like crumpets, bleeeurgh, but in my house my Dad calls them "Lite cakes".
Well, I love English muffins (which are clearly the same thing, stfu), so... just butter, or maybe some strawberry preserves. Good stuff.
they look awesome :o
I'm a fan of peanut butter and honey. That's what I'd have on mine if I had access to them <3
If anything, English muffins are very dry and I think crumpets are slimy!
