I wanna look for some more anime which has some dark atmosphere like FMA and Deathnote. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Dark as in gritty or dark as in despair? Neither one of those are particularly strong in either category. I may have some suggestions, and JKTrix certainly would know what to watch, but based on what you've already seen, I wouldn't suggest anything without you signing a waiver.
Death Note has a dose of gloomyness and "cold attitude" going on trough a lot of the show, which I'd assume can be considered "dark". I'd suppose the pretty greytoned animations helps a lot in visualizing a dark atmosphere too.
Never watched FMA, so I can't say anything about that one. But from the screenshots/clips I've seen, I've always thought it was indeed more of a humor-filled kind of show than an anime with a dark atmosphere. =O
I suggest Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service if you have a strong stomach. And it's a manga not an anime. It's pretty dark and gory, but laced with a lot of black comedy.
Thanks guys I'll check those shows out, but Vermachtnis, I'm not really a big manga fan :( I much prefer to see it and hear it instead of just reading it and looking at pictures.

I used to be big on it high school, but kinda moved on from it, now I don't watch any... besides the occasional Naruto Shippuuden my friend will pester me to watch ever couple of months.
That said there are a couple that I still like even though I've moved away from anime.
Chrno Crusade (anime)
Nana (both anime and manga)
Sailor Moon (manga)
"I love anime" is a bit of a silly thing to say, considering how much japanese animation out there that absolutely sucks.
I treat anime just like I treat animation from anywhere in the world. If it's good, I'll watch it, regardless of what it's called. If it's bad ,I won't, regardless of what it's called.
The last japanese animation I watched was Howl's moving castle, and it was wonderful.
Not watching any right now, but my favorites are the DB trilogy, Yu Yu hakusho, and Samurai Champloo.
For cartanime Avatar and Samurai Jack.
Legend of the Galactic heroes is the best space opera show :p
