*Jumps up and down*
Oo, oo, oo, but I haven't listened that much, yet... D-:bou::bou::bou:, I shall have to listen to it all now!
With some more listening done, I'm amazed to discover I've actually taken a liking to the prelude, for once! (WHAAAT?) Tension in the Air is also nice... And there's Pompa Sancta, No Way to Live, To Hunt L'Cie... Born Anew is all mighty and stuff, but smells too much like an OWA-copy... If Masauzu's trumpet samples weren't so ugly, Determination would be a clear win... (The horn samples are STELLAR! EXQUISITE! ... So why such poor trumpets??)
Hm...

I finally got an optical out cable for my PS3 and surround sound system in the middle of my FFXIII playthrough. And wow. This game's audio production values are through the roof. When you combine that with the graphical fidelity and overall presentation, I'd definitely rank this game among the top entertainment extravaganzas of this console generation.
Anyway, my favorite was probably the battle theme, partially because I heard it over and over again watching the trailer for 3 years before the game came out. I'm that way with a lot of FF games.
I also really liked the boss battle theme Saber's Edge. A lot of it really reminds me of FFXII, whose composer (Hitoshi Sakimoto) I'm a hUge fan of. I can just hear Vaan going "Yah!" over this swinging a sword.
Maybe because of Hope...
