I'm with WK, Kaiser, and BG. I loved her, and I wanted her back when she died. I'm one of the people who spent hours trying out all the rumors to see if they worked. She's actually the reason I bought the strategy guide. After beating the game. But I was young then, and couldn't appreciate the artistic drama her death brought to the story. I appreciate her death for what it was now. And I don't treat the game any different with that knowledge. I still like her as a character, and a plot device, and for that reason I continue to use her until I can't. It doesn't hamper the characters who get left behind really, 'cause they can all catch up really quickly
I really don't feel that using her is a waste of time and I'm not offended by the idea of losing a character I built up. Its a good story element and few games have used it properly
Actually, on the subject, I always thought it was pretty cheap that you could clone (SPOILER)Crono in Chrono Trigger. (SPOILER)But THAT I think would have justified fealing cheated and offended, for the people who didn't know the whole convoluted method of bringing him back, you just lost THE MAIN CHARACTER to the game. A character who's a blank slate, so its assumed he's basically your avatar in game. So you just lost YOUR character. I'm glad they let you bring him back, but I still feel that it cheapens it as well. And from a story stand-point I would have accepted his sacrifice. I never felt he was my avatar anyway. So all I did was lose a mute character. I just would understand if people felt that way more with him than those who feel it for Aeris
