If I could think of a word for a situation where the word awkward didn't quite cut it in terms of description, that story would warrant it!

I've worked in a couple of stores that didn't offer military or services (NHS, Police, Fire Brigade, RNLI etc.) discount. I just gave them the student discount anyway.

That awkward moment when you throw a can of Mtn. Dew at your brother and he doesn't catch it.

That awkward moment when you forget to tell your dorm mate that you're on video chat with your boyfriend and she starts changing her clothes.

That awkward moment at a party when you watch someone flips their trout because apparently they walked in to some bedroom at the back of the house and catch their girlfriend/boyfriend having sex with someone else.
