I talk to my dog all the time, mostly me telling it to stop smurfing doing what it's doing in a tone not too disimilar to a shout. I dont bark though, the smurf is wrong with you ppl.

My cat speaks to dogs and other cats with his fists.
He doesn't need claws to put them in their place.

My cat doesn't even listen to me anymore, so I just sort of pick him up and scream in his face when I want him to stop scratching something.

He listens to that.

I have full on conversations with every cat I see.
