I'm surprised any Final Fantasy game is listed here, for even the worst of Final Fantasy I'd still consider miles ahead of thousands of crud games. I can easily call one FF game terrible when going up against a much better FF title, but when compared to a truly crap game even the worst FF title is a shiny treasure.
It wasn't the worst game ever, but it possibly hurt me the most. Bionic Commando Rearmed 2.
YOU CAN JUMP. In a game where the entire point is not being able to jump and needing to use your arm to get around. It's like making a Mario game where you can't jump. It's like making a Mega Man where he doesn't have an arm cannon. Why would they do this?
The first Rearmed was a great game, which makes it hurt even worse. A different studio made Rearmed 2 and screwed it all up.
If that was real it would have the potential of being the greatest and worst game ever made.Quote:

And to use Yahtzee's Matrix, going into a game expecting it to be great and finding out it's a steaming sack of trout is a far worse feeling than going into a trout game expecting it to be trout and having it be exactly the trout you were expecting.

Man, I just find games too enjoyable to have a 'worst' list. It's a genuine effort to think of games I haven't liked. I suppose there are ones that just didn't appeal to me, but... worst? Oof. Nigh on impossible to think of many if any video games that way. I guess I'm just lucky.
I suppose Tamadochi or whatever those pet games are can be pretty meh.
Anyone mentioning one of the main final fantasy games in this thread are on the level of those who make extremely sensationalist news headlines. Just saying.
