Beetle hunting could be far worse. Several people in Ivalice keep monsters as pets. At least you didn't have to try to catch one of the beetle-like Antlion enemies (which I figured I would have to when I first started that mission).

They seem to really hate the use of magic in the early game. I noticed the 99,999,999 gil on an early post so I assumed there was som hijinks going on here,
How are you enjoying the team so far? Not wanting to switch all your characters out for Viera and humes yet?
