Anyway, we eventually reach a crystal room. So like, did the elf make one to hold the crystal? Was it already here? Do crystals just construct special rooms wherever they go?

To be fair, it's very easy to hate Kain. I have friends who always call him "Treacherous Kain" when referring to him.
