I mean it is the entry that finally put FF on the map in Japan. It was the first entry to sell over a million units in its lifetime and actually got equal scores against DQIV that was released around the same time. I think it's also the third or fourth best selling third party game on the Famicom at number 12. So I feel SE would likely agree it deserves to be on this list. I feel it's just difficult to find a really bad game by Square in the 90s.
Course I also personally love FFIII a lot. I'm excited to see what the Pixel Remaster did with it.
