Allright how about starting out with a black mage then for sub class what ever would be good but i don't really like WHM so idk something good. After would it be good to have a DRK/SAM? And would it be possible to make my BM look like Vivi or just a simple realy BM meaning black head and yellow eyes?
And would all this be better for a hume or tauru tauru?
WHM is a very important sub class for any mage, if not the best. But if you hate it that much you can always get /RDM
/WHM: Status cure aliment spells(poison sucks at low lvls, and at higher lvls, mobs will throw alot at you, having this helps make things easier and party death or not), Curaga(like another benediction, saves major ), Teleport spells, ReRaise(Raises urself if you die), Party buffs(Protectra and Shellra series, instead of wasting MP to cast it on individual people, with the same MP cost you can cast it on the entire party), Divine Seal (job ability that helps keep the party alive with next cure spell multiplied effectiveness by 2) and more Magic Def Up (theres two, and its passive). Plus healing is what you do in tough situations, a BLM/WHM is a lifesaver. AND you get CureII 6 lvls before a /RDM, bascially all your cure spells are going to be gotten earlier and that makes a safer pt. (BLM/WHM: lvl 22 u get cureII because WHM gets the spell at lvl 11; BLM/RDM: lvl 28 tou get cureII because RDMs get the spell at lvl 14).
/RDM: You get Fast Cast(dont matter too much, since casting spells after spell all the time makes the moster urber pissed at you and therefore you getting hit or dying. Those that do it is prolly best to get hit more and die so they know not to do it again, screws up hate), Gravity(lowers evasion and makes enemy walk slower, great for running away), self buff spells(not party), a magic def and attk up(one each), and...thats it =/
You can try /SMN for more MP but thats all you get, the ultility and potential for /WHM and /RDM is higher and better than /SMN.
Taru is best for mage, but DRK is best for other races.
DRK/SAM is good too btw and theres no way to make you have that two yellow dots on your eyes. Closest you get is AF armour which looks like this:

I think I'm going to go with BM/WHM. Since mages don't have that much life I will need to heal myself. And I also think I will take a hume b/c i really like the combanation but by the waywould you know how to get a Samurai?

Remember, you need to do the subjob quest at level 18 to be able to get the combonation. I started out as MNK and I am working to the next level so I can get the subjob quest done, and I dislike MNK now (as a Tarutaru) so I am going to mage classes.
What I am saying is, you will eventually change your mind because even reading up about it on websites, doesn't cut the cheese to the real thing.
Just an insite though.
