I know most of the options are the same but and new things are added that should have been added ages ago. BUUUUUUUT I still don't like that every time anything like this happens with any site/program they always change the look. Its more of a personal grudge against these people more than anything.
Could you also make the seach paramters for searchs 1 character. Forcing 4 sucks. You have no clue how many times I have to broaden my search because of it. I just want to find a post about metroid 2....the 2 can't be used because it is 1 character and not 4. PISSES ME OFF!

Other new stuff I like includes previewing a thread just by hovering in the forum view, plus hovering the mouse in various other areas give you info you didn't get before on vB2 :p
edcz: The problem with allowing small search strings is the search database grows exponentially (I think, roughly anyway) as you allow smaller and smaller strings - I think it was around a quarter of the database size when we change servers. I thought the minimum string used to be 3 though, not 4.

The biggest reason I don't like the way it looks now (besides that it's generally less aesthetic) is that it looks exactly like Eyes Off Final Fantasy, which is worse than EoFF.

Random bouts of table problems. The poster's table width random stretches to two table lengths, so we have that annoying scrunched up post that's off the edge of the 2nd cell.

other than that...well, there's lots of preferential problems but it's okay I suppose. *goes to look at people's post counts*

I love the Quick Reply function and the drop-down menus for user functions, very handy. Edit: Again, *very* handy ;)
I think the pop-up "Are you sure you want to log off?" window is absolutely retarded.... Of course I want to, I clicked the tiny little link all tucked out of the way, didn't I?

Okay, small details: In the profile view, the user rank (former staff for example) is displayed at the right of the cell, while the username and custome title are displayed on the left. It looks silly.
Maybe it's a feature: my username is the first in the who's online list, despite Proto, Doom, Unne being on who should therefore be before me in alphabetical order. It's okay how it is, just wondering if that was on purpose.
Could the "Welcome, username" etc... box be moved back to the left, possibly with the chocobo indicator of new PMs? It can wait, but I liked it more as it used to be.
That's all I see right now, the rest looks fine so far.

No, that would only be an unforseen advantage of switching.
We're thinking of leaving the PM box where it is, to see if people get used to it. We'll see.

Raf: Maybe your Who's Online list isn't sorted? Mine's sorted alphabetically, but you can also reverse it or sort by last activity or whatever other columns are visible for you.

Yes :p I also added/fixed (can't remember if it even was in vB2 actually) the disable smilies in new posts option, which you can set in your profiles too near the quick reply :p

Oh my, there's no post icon in the quick reply! I'm going to have to look at all my posts since it was enabled to make sure I have the :D face set up.
