Time to go-Dropkick Murphy's
Hm. I've never been really addicted to any of the mainstream pop/rock hits I've heard on the radio or on MTV (or other music channels), which is because that's not even their point. They are simply to hook you for a while but after a few listenings, they don't interest that much anymore, because there's nothing new to listen about them.
Not that I never listened to pop music, at one point it was all I listened and my addictions changed almost daily whenever there was a new hit song or something (well, for example I've liked The Backstreet Boys, E-Type, Britney Spears, Shakira, Eminem and Limp Bizkit songs for example, but they never lasted longer than about one week.)
Is this too much blablablah? ... Sorry for that :3 Sometimes I tend to explain myself a lot (especially when it comes to music... I think). But to the point... I got addicted to progressive music (okay metal music, too) at one point, and I can't get out of it - so I think that this is "the thing" for me.
Hmm... the songs I listen to most could be....
Opeth ~ Black Rose Immortal (maybe more like the whole production of Opeth - I love this band so MUCH! They're so great! Mikale Åkerfeldt is a god! I could never praise them enough~ *drool* This is THE stuff I listen to every day)
Metallica ~ Master of Puppets and One (I've been listening to these ever since I was a child really, my big brothers were fans of Metallica so they kinda introduced me to their music when I was really little <3)
Judas Priest ~ Painkiller (Rob Halford's voice is so unbelievable. I can't help my jaw from dropping each time I listen to it.)
Slayer ~ Angel of Death (almost the same reason as above, I can't believe a man in their forties can scream that high [yeah I know this track is from the 80's but he can scream like that even live!], I worship Tom Araya \o/ )
Hm. I believe that's enough for now :P
