the chances are the bomb was always going to go off sometime. it's abu-hamza's trial, it's the g8. but maybe things were pished forward or held back for the olympic announcement.
it would be a warning to people. showing the huge weaknesses and showing them what can happen in 2012 if they are exploited again.
and even if it is not connected people willstill be scared of it.

I'm happy. At first I didn't want us to get it because of the fact that I was sure our resources would be wasted...plus the idea of building an olympic diving pool in trafalger square seemed rather dumb. Build something permanant maybe?
Still...I'm glad now that we have it. Means sticking it to the French et al and feeds my imperialist ego. Plus the stadium in our town will be used for hosting forigen teams, which will do the local economy good.
I'll be 25 when it happens...but I'll hopefully be able to watch it.
