Hmm.. well if that would somehow cure them of what lead them in jail.. no problem.. to do it just for fun.. that would be a bit iffy.. but meh... that just reflects on the person doing it.

And anyways I believe I said there would need to be .. proper regulations. That would maintain at the very least what we currently have on lab animals.. likely more. Meaning... no purposeful or highly possible death experiments as well as multiple other things. Mainly it would be all out mad scientist experimentation.


As for never right to experiment on people. My view on that is then we can't experiment on many animals. Many animals have feelings, thought processes, etc... So if we can't experiment on people then that includes many animals(I imagine chimps, dolphins, etc... easily fit here).


Experimentation shouldn't be stopped(where would we get without it?) but it should be monitered and controled.

I do not agree with testing on animals at all. It's not right, but if it saves many lives, like they're testing for a cure for AIDS, then it's better than many people dying. But it's still not something I like. They have no voice in it at all.

And personally, if I HAD to choose if experimentations were to be taken on say... a chimpanzee or a child rapist, I would choose the rapist. I wouldn't want either to be tested on though, it's not right without consent for anyone or anything.

ah the medievil days. chopping of ears and torturing people. making sure they weren't bad again. but we stopped that didn't we? why was that? because it was totally evil, inhumane and devoid of all morality.

Human subjects are the only reliable test subjects for drugs or procedures which will be carried out on Humans.

My proposition would be to make the offer open to criminals, with the possibility of reducing their sentence.

That has to be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. I could go murder a few people, have a few experiments performed on me, and get a reduced sentence? That's almost worse than experimenting on them without their consent.

You both have points. If you experiment on a child molester and then he gets out early it could cause problems. "woot, i'm going to go and rape another child and now that they've injected me with AIDS it'll be all the more fun."

But if someone has an incredibly long sentence and you reduce it by a year then who cares. It also doesn't nececarily need to be a reduced sentence. Don't detectives give cellmates t.v's and stuff for cooperation?

morality is in the eye of the beholder. I think I may be the only one in this forum who thinks the experimentation should be done. I was the only one who said it in the stem cell thread.

Well I did type that with a large amount of sarcasism in mind. ;)

But IF it did cure them(other then by pushing them off this mortal coil).. then well I wouldn't really have a problem with it. The problem would arise when trying to convince me that it would CURE them... and wasn't being used for a vinidictive sake.

no-one and i mean NO-ONE deserves to have their balls crushed by a brick. No way. It is sick and wrong. i would rather take anyone of those other punishments.

You may be right... but lets say they had some disease that was causing suffering to many(think several thousand at least) individuals and the ONLY way to cure it would be to smash the person balls in.

I think I know the option I would choose. The point that happens is that I see no reason that would be the only way. Hence my remark on that they would have to convince me(very extreme situation in other words). and anyways you would have to do it in as humane way as possible... Pain killers would prolly be a prerequisite.

I would tell them to kill me and then crush my balls. For the record, are you a guy or a girl?

I am a guy.. and I would go for the cure... but then again I will admit right out that I do have what other guys call "very little feeling" down there. I can be wrestling and go over backwards and have a 200lb guy's knee go into my balls .. and it will generally have very little effect on me(I am 155lbs btw). Also a girl once kicked me in the balls hard enough to lift me to my tippy toes.. and I just laughed it off.

no really it was funny.. you should have seen her expresion(had ment to hit my thigh) not to mention the dressing down her mother gave her. :cool:

hmm, well i still say that it would be the worst thing in the world but i guess some people will have other views. Getting the thing chopped off wouldn't be too bad, but actually crushing them...AAAAAHHHH!
